Country Critters

In my previous review for Suds a Pup, I remembered that I never wrote a review for this place. This is where we use to take our two poodles many years ago. We had to give our two poodles away when my son was born and he was diagnosed with allergy induced asthma. Luckily, my fav Uncle and fellow Unilocaler Bill M. and Aunt D. came to the rescue and took in one of them and now they have both, Bella and Sully.
Anyway, here we are 9 years later and my son’s asthma and allergies are such that we can now own another non-​shedding dog. This place is owned and run by an older lady and she actually does a fantastic job of grooming and is cheaper than the competition out there. The place is attached to her farm house which may explain the cheaper prices as compared to when you go to a commercial location. The reason for three stars is the cleanliness or should I say lack thereof. We took our dog Moby several months ago because we knew she did a good job. His grooming was great but we had to give him another bath when we got him home because he smelled strongly of urine. We don’t know if the cage he was placed in before we picked him up was filthy or if another dog actually peed on him. Nonetheless, he stunk and this shouldn’t be the case after leaving a place where he was bathed.
Overall, she is a very nice person and does a great job but I subtracted two stars for the lack of cleanliness. It pained me to pay her for her services and then have to go home and bathe him again.
