It amazes me that every time I go to Betsy Jenney in Newton that I find many things that«work». Almost every time I wear something I bought there I get comments and questions as to where I bought this or that. The sales help is wonderful and never tell me something looks good unless it does. I live 50 miles from Newton but it is worth the ride for the fun of looking and the real fun of buying eclectic, high quality items within my price range. Thank you Karen and the rest. You’re the best. Cathy Boxford, Ma

I have to say that this is my favorite store in Newton Center. I have a woman that I go to named Karen and she gets my style and fashion sense. Every time she insists that I get something I never regret it and wind up wearing the clothes for long periods of time. They are friendly whether I buy a lot or not. I highly recommend this store if you want to look smashing, if you need unique accessories, or you want to buy a gift. You don’t have to go to NYC to look and feel great. They have it all.

My wife has found some beautiful, edgy outfits there, at a reasonable cost.

I visit Betsy’s Boston and Newton Centre locations whenever I’m in town. My first shopping experience was over the phone and I was assisted by Heidi who was extremely pleasant and helpful. My in-person experience has been quite different when Heidi isn’t working. The staff are cold and unfriendly. The racks of clothing seem to be randomly placed so there is no flow or order to their arrangement. The Boston store has terrible lighting and it’s hard to see the clothing. It’s also hard to see the clothing because there are too many pieces on each rack. I don’t like spending my money at a place so unwelcoming.

For the most part I think this store is iffy, but they do carry some hard to find designers. GOODFOR: Ghost of London, Anna Sui.
