Lovely store with great dresses and all sorts of fun apparel. Love it!

Whenever I’m looking for an outfit or just in the mood to shop I immediately visit Duchess! The clothes are affordable, fit perfectly and are always on trend. There hasn’t been a time where I’ve left the store without at least one item– seriously, it feels like my wardrobe is mostly from Duchess! I can’t count the number of compliments I’ve received on my clothes– it really keeps me coming back for more.
The owner has a really good eye for clothes that fit well and look great. I have never had a problem with any merchandise– and I enjoy receiving feedback and recommendations from Rachel. She’s really friendly and honest with her opinions, which I appreciate.
I can’t say enough about my experiences shopping at Duchess-​I never leave dissatisfied and enjoy my shopping experience.

I’m a Gap girl at heart. I like the classic looks and I wear a lot of solids. So why would I shop at a small boutique in Newton Centre that charges double of what I would usually pay for clothes? Great styles and amazing customer service.
While I may not shop there for my day to day outfits, it has turned into the place for me to go when I’m looking for a new dress. Earlier this summer, I was in search of a black dress. All the places I checked either had black dresses that were gaudy and trendy (not my style at all) or they had run out of my size. On a whim, I stopped in on my lunch break and lo and behold, the black dress I was looking for. Probably the most I had ever spent on a dress, but after all the time wasted looking already, I knew I had to have it. Turned out to be a great purchase since I’ve gotten at least one compliment each time I’ve worn it.
Last week, desperate for a bit of retail therapy, I stopped in. Not really expecting to walk out with anything, despite the money that was burning a hole in my pocket, but I knew the new fall stuff was it, so it wouldn’t hurt to window shop. Grabbing a few selections, I made my way to the fitting room. As soon as I put on the dress, I knew I had to have it. Perfect for the fall season.
Rachel is one of the most hands on owners of a business that I have ever met. She is at the store more often than not. And she is not afraid to provide A+ customer service. She doesn’t hound you (which is one reason I tend to not like boutique’s) and she’s always willing to give you a hand or a suggestion. Need another size? Rachel will get it for you — and if it’s not on the floor, she will go find it in the back. You also get the feeling from her that she’s not trying to pressure you to buy. If you like it, that’s great. If not, she’ll suggest other items in her store that you might like. She doesn’t tell you that everything you try on looks amazing so when she does tell you that it looks good, it’s believable.
