Excellent food. Great ice cream. Great deli and meat. Top shelf place. My go to place for lunch and to pick up something for dinner.

I purchased 7 rib eye steaks at Hayek’s on Friday. While I was waiting for my steaks, I had a sample of their skirt steak that was put out for customers. It was so delicious, I asked the butcher where I could find it and he pointed to the packages and handed one to me. So I bought the rib eye steaks and the package of skirt steak. When I was getting ready to grill today, I noticed the package I bought said pork and not skirt steak. I went back to Hayek this morning to return it and the attitude I got from the woman in customer service was horrible. She was so rude for a mistake made by them! I spent $ 200 at Hayek’s market on Friday. Really? Is that how you treat your customers? I love Hayek’s but I doubt I’ll go back. It’s sad when your employees don’t treat customers properly.

Came up to NJ to see a friend and stopped here for some breakfast before everything started. I was floored to see the selection inside of this place, I could look for hours. Got myself a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich which was awesome because it had a fried egg on it instead of the scrambled king I am used to in the city. the food was fresh and packaged very well and I was on my way. I could have come here for weeks on end to eat everything they have, and wished that this place was closer to me back in Queens… oh well :(

Enjoyed a really good hot sandwich and coffee here. Hope to stop by again.

Great service, excellent breakfast sandwiches and great meat selection. They know the meaning of service and will work to provide whatever it is you need.

My family has been shopping at Hayek’s since 1951. Great service and a focus on high quality food. Great deli selections, great butchers, great dinners… and most recently added ice cream during the summer.

This place has a great feel to it being a small town store but was just redone not looking g ago to kind of look like a mini grocery store. The home made food is great and would recommend to everyone.

One word describes this place… AWESOME! Lots of superb products to choose.

I love this place. Go there at least once a week and have utilized them for many catered dishes. Bakery has some wonderful desserts and they have always accommodated my specialty requests. Glad to give them 5 stars.

Great food comes a dime a dozen. What separates small businesses from each other is their service, and this place couldn’t have any less. The cashier was completely rude the entire time I was present. She was telling a coworker aloud a story about a customer she deemed as irate. She also wasn’t even looking at me the entire time I was getting rung out. I asked her a question and she told me, «I didn’t hear you because I wasn’t paying attention». After she finished my transaction she just left the bags on her counter and didn’t even help hand them to me. She was too busy talking about what she was going to do Friday night. Little millennial girl will find a rude awakening in the real world!

Best place to get deli meat and food. Love the hot dogs produce and steaks! !! Been a lifelong customer! George and Mitchell used to let all of the kids get their ice cream and candy from behind the counter. We were all family back in the day! Used to be so cheap. A dollar used to get a weeks worth of ice cream pops and candy. lol

Absolutely love this place!
Favorites: Deli selection and option to have a «junior» sized sandwich (realistic size). Fresh berries are almost always cheaper than the local grocery stores. Butcher department and employees are great & accommodating! 6′ subs are great and fairly priced. Fresh soups, chili and salad bar.
Downside (Why it’s not 5 stars): Not a very good drink selection. 3 out of 4 sandwiches I order are usually wrong (saving grace is that everything here is so good that even when they screw it up, it still tastes delicious).
Other: New (ish) remodel is great, now we just need them to open another location in Frankford on 206!

Stopped here for lunch in between meetings. It was pretty busy but I was still waited on pretty quickly. Ordered a chicken parm panini. The bread was full of Italian seasoning, yum! Plenty of mozzarella cheese too. The market had a wide selection of meats, cheeses and specialty items. Great place to order lunch on the go or pick up dinner for a busy night. On my way out, I noticed they had packages of strawberries for 99 cents which was a nice surprise.

Great renovation. Have not done my order correctly on 3 occasions and when I had called did not get the nicest customer service, but food is great. Customer service is what’s making me not give 5 stars!

I love Hayek’s I have been going there for many years and they have great people working there. Always a smile and very helpful. Sandwich’s, salads, soups are really good. There meat products and produce are very fresh. The owners are very on the ball making sure customers are happy and we have everything we need.
They maybe small but they are huge when it comes to customer service.

Don’t ever get the wrong sandwich and return for some ‘promised satisfaction (left in the form of a voicemail)’. What you will get is the third degree by owner Dan Hayek, who will also give the third degree to every sandwich maker at work.
Far better to simply ask what would satisfy that customer, no???

What I like the most in Hayek’s Market is their homemade ice cream! Not a huge market but an easy access where you can buy some good deli and fine quality of locally grown fruits and vegetables.

This place is alright. It’s a bit on the pricey side and I wasn’t very impressed. The staff wasn’t very helpful the lady checking me out barely said hi. They didn’t have much of what I expected them to have. I was thinking they would have a lot of salads and sandwiches for sale but they sorta felt like a snooty over priced grocery store. I got a sea food salad and I have honestly had better at smaller cheaper grocery stores.
