Learning Express Toys

We took the kids into this Newton institution and it was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast and it was great seeing them so excited. If you have never taken the time to enjoy this amazing store, do not hesitate and just go. The looks on the kids’ faces was well worth the experience.

Besides the place on Lincoln St, this is the only place to buy toys in Newton.
Yes, it’s small. Yes, it doesn’t have as much as Toys R Us. and Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than Toys R Us or Walmart. But Yes, you’re supporting a local business by shopping here. And Yes, the service is much better, than normal customer service at a «big box» like Toys R Us or Walmart.
They also wrap, which I find extremely convenient, and have some great options for gifts that Toys R Us doesn’t. They have a ton of art supplies, mostly Alex & Faber Castel, as well as some Crayola, all not overpriced and cool. As well as lots of board games, and lots of puzzles and small trinkets (they had a whole unit filled with small compartments for cool little things). Even though it’s small, so much to choose from and so many options. The staff were also helpful and useful with finding products I was looking for and I found a perfect alternative to an item they didn’t have.
Superior service, that wasn’t at a Bloomingdales price. Perfect.
Will need to visit here more often for gifts. Just like basically everywhere in Newton Centre, everywhere here are all just great places to shop!
This store is in Newton Centre, but not directly in the heart of it, and not near as much of the traffic (which is really nice). It’s on Centre Street at the junction of Cypress Street. There is a front entrance on Centre and a back entrance with a large parking lot. There is another parking lot for it as well off to the side, which you do have to pay for a meter.
Definitely stop by for any gifts or toys you may be needing. This is a great spot. 5 stars.

I love this toy store — they have a great selection for kids of all ages. My only quibble is that sometimes the parking lot gets pretty full, particularly in the winter when the snow piles up and takes over. However, the excellent selection, helpful staff, and wrapping service make it my choice for birthday and other presents.

Learning Express offers a vast selection of great toys for kids. From crafts to legos to children’s books, this toy store is my favorite. I always find a good craft present here for my nephew and niece. And the prices are definitley low also. The staff are friendly and always help me with my toy search. I never have a problem parking in the back lot. The store is a little tricky to find, located in a corner near a busy intersection, but once you visit it, no problem. Learning Express offers a wide range of toys, from expensive to 5 dollar toys. And they always have the latest toys that are popular. I am not a good present wrapper, so I am always glad that Learning Express always offers FREE gift wrapping! So, of course, I definitely recommend Learning Express Toys and I always use a $ 7.00 off coupon from the register tape coupons at the Chestnut Hill Shaws supermarket.

This is a great toy store and I recommend every parent to bring their kids here. I am especially impressed with the excellent service at Learning Express. Many special thanks to Kelly and Alicia who work at this store and who kindly opened the door for me after the store was closed at 6pm on Saturday when I needed to buy a gift for my kid which I promised to get that day. I can’t be more thankful!

I feel lucky they are here — great last minute spot to buy gifts, staff know toys, excellent customer service. Fond memories of buying 500 piece Playmobile monstrosities for my now teenaged kids. Hope I can shop here for grandchildren one day. Staff know toys. And staff actually like children. Store supports local school events — thank you.

They have a great selection of great toys. The times that I’ve been in the service has been pretty good. Will go back.
