Amazing burgers, whenever I go I always get a bacon, cheeseburger and it is always cooked to perfection. Their fries are crispy and delicious. To get the real Lee’s burgers experience you must spice everything in their spectacular special sauce. Lee’s burgers is the bomb

My favorite burger joint … better than Shake Shack, 5 Guys and In-​and-​Out. The patty is more meaty so it feels more like a meal than just a snack. Fries are also tasty tho starchy so I get the onion rings instead. Special sauce is good (I’m guessing it’s mayo mustard and sriracha?). One inexplicable weak point: they only offer vinegary cheapo ketchup; is Heinz really that much more expensive? +4 stars for overall food yum factor and +1 for value.

Their burgers are BOMB ! Yes BOMB. Fries are awesome and chicken sandwich is good too. Only complain? Get a bigger place Man. We know u can afford it.

Went to Boston for the weekend and heard from a few friends that we must try Lee’s burgers. The place itself was brightly light and charmingly decorated. The staff was super friendly and made great recommendations. We ordered the mushroom burger with melted cheese which was AMAZING! Much better than Shake Shack. We also ordered their chicken burger, sweet potato fries with honey, onion rings, and French fries. Everything was delicious! The fruit smoothie was also very fresh and delicious. You could actually taste the fruit.

A thick, pre-​formed, chuck beef patty of 6oz is a decent size for a $ 5.75 hamburger.
Add bacon, cheese and fries to make it a special at $ 8.75 and it’s a deal. I added a second patty (mistakenly not thinking about how much extra meat was to be served) for an additional $ 3.
An option to have the burger prepared to a certain temperature is not offered and these patties arrive well done to borderline inedible.
They are somehow juicy despite the overdone temperature but tough, crumbly and very under seasoned, if seasoned at all.
The cheese does melt nicely over and down the burger but it’s flavor is completely masked by the crumbly meat.
Lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle are wilted and not fresh. The potato bun has been lightly griddled and holds the whole thing together reasonably well.
The French fries are excellent. Thick cut fries and fried hard. Again, no seasoning — they benefited from a healthy dose of salt and pepper.
Overall, for $ 8.75 special with fries, a decent deal that’s not anywhere near an excellent burger but good.

Love the fries & love the staff! They’re incredibly friendly. The burgers are solid. I’ve never tried anything except the burgers & the fries, though.
Update: I’ve had hot dogs and their grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken is excellent – juicy and tender. yum!

Now, I’m going to be honest. I came in and ordered on a Friday night — so I expected it to be busy. But when I walked in the place was practically empty. So I placed my order and the cashier told me it’d only be 10 minutes. I decided to wait around…30 minutes later — I finally got my food. I get they were busy, but I saw 3 people that came in and ordered after me get their food before me and they all ordered burger and fries like me. Not only that but the order was completely messed up. They didn’t put bacon on the burger, I got stone cold french fries and because he gave me the drink when I placed the order it was close to lukewarm. I normally like this place but that really put a damper, especially when I waited so long and they still didn’t get the order right.

Know your product. .when we ask about the fish sandwich the girl behind the counter knew nothing about it. .she offered the special sauce on the burger I inquired what it made from… her answer was.“it’s the house sause”
This is a burger place from the 50s… french fries had a fish taste… barely any «special sauce «on my burger… other than the special sauce. .the burger had no flavor return

Just amazing! The fries are the big crispy kind that melts in your mouth and crunches every time you take a bite. We got the bacon cheeseburger and regular cheeseburger, and I am now contemplating when I can make an excuse to go back there to try the hot dog and other burgers. Also, this is a fresh burger — - Trust me, I know my burgers :.)
I wished I asked the front host her name, she was very nice! She answered my questions and the food was prepared in a jiffy…5 minutes? It was a great experience, We will definitely be back!

The kids and I stopped in here for a quickie dinner one night, based on the positive Unilocal reviews. As usual, my fellow Unilocalers did not steer me wrong!
This place is a small hole in the wall, but I could tell it is a popular neighborhood place, as there was a line of local folks waiting by the counter to place thier orders or pick up thier orders. It sounded like the staff knew all the customers, and the customers knew the guys behind the counter. The patrons were mostly young adults in thier 20’s, but a few older folks as well. The actual dining area was tiny, with only 4 or 5 small tables.
Our family chose to dine in.
The menu is decent for a hamburger joint, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially since the portions are very large. One kid had the turkey sub. The bread roll was fresh and it was packed with fresh turkey. It was so big, in fact, that she could only eat half (and she was starving, too!). We brought the remaining half back to our hotel for later. The other kid had a cheeseburger «with everything» and she put on some of the famous «secret sauce». She devoured it as if she hadn’t eaten in a month. No left-​overs there. I had a chef salad and it was huge. Tons of fresh turkey and swiss cheese and ham and veggies. The balsamic vinagrette (in a pouch) was really delicious too (I forget the brand name); just wish they had more choices for low-​fat salad dressings. I ate ¼ of the salad and brought the rest back for later (it was big).
We were lucky to find a parking spot on the street, and the meter there was broken to boot (bonus!), but I can see how parking might be an issue here.
All in all, this was a super place for a fast dinner, with fresh foods and reasonable price points and generous portions, and the counter staff were friendly, too!

I would have given a solid four stars IF THEY REMEMBER my special sauce!! i dialed in and ordered my hamburger and salad, only to find out they forgot to give me special sauce as requested! uGHHhHh I came for the special sauce and you forgot ?? I’m seriously upset over this!

Just got back from here and boy did it hit the spot!
The staff is very friendly, the burgers are good (not massive but with free lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles it makes for the perfect size!), the fries and onion rings are good (and the portions are VERY big as others have noted) and the price is right! For about $ 20 we got a bacon cheeseburger, fries, cheeseburger, small onion rings, and a can of coke. That makes for a great Sunday night dinner!
This is a ast food type of place (they also do some subs) with not a ton of seating and quite busy — though lots of people come to pick up or order takeout. That being said we walked in and there were still a few two-​seaters open (there are maybe 7 total plus seating at the window).
All in all, we were happy and left pleasantly full! We live up the street so this will probably be a place we come to every few months.

I wanted to like this place so much, I actually feel guilty leaving only 3 star because the staff is just so nice.
The food quality just was not that good or prepared properly. My daughters burger was undercooked, I asked for well done. And my veggie burger was soft and mushy. It was like it was sitting there for hours, warmed a little then served. Everything else was good, And the guys there are super nice.

The reviews don’t lie– this place has great burgers. We got the veggie burgers and they were great.
FYI: go with the special sauce –there’s a reason they call it special ;)
The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because it was pretty chilly inside. Probably not their fault given that it’s freezing in the middle of winter and they have glass windows up front of a small restaurant… but I still gotta call it out. Otherwise, service (i.e. the cashier up front) and everything else was great.

Casual date night with Lee’s Burger Place takeout and a movie? The perfect combination for a snowy night!
The inside has a few tables but seating is limited. At about 7:30pm on a Saturday night there were not many people inside, perhaps because of the weather. It started to get more crowded as we waited for the food.
My date and I, the self-​proclaimed foodies that we are, were quite satisfied with these juicy burgers. I got the cheeseburger and he got the bacon cheeseburger. Regular and sweet potato fries were good too!

Top notch, I mean really good quality. Burgers Are on par with what you would find in a steakhouse. The meat is I believe 100% sirloin and it makes a big difference in taste.
Slight downgrade from 5 stars because there fries, sweet potato and regular were just average.

OMG… all American BOMB ass burger! They cook everything to order and it’s delicious. Nothing but the basics on it yet still one of the best burgers I’ve eaten anywhere AND their prices are just right! If I had to make a complaint (and I really don’t want to) I’d say the seating however I don’t mind the close quarters or even taking it to go so…
Unlike the rest of my reviews this one is short and sweet but I promise you… YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I can always count on Lee’s Burger for a filling, delicious meal. All their burgers are amazing. Their fries aren’t that crispy, but that’s totally fine because dipping them in their special sauce makes it all better! You can spend less than $ 10 for a great burger and great fries! Highly recommend their special sauce.
It’s a really small place with only four tables. Gets pretty crowded but thats because everybody loves Lee’s! I always try my best to come here when I’m in town. It’s super convenient to get here. The Newton Centre T stop is literally 5 mins of a walk away. Once you’re done with your burger here, there is a JP Licks couple steps away and a park to walk around to burn off all those calories.
