Nice enough, the people in the drivethru are always English speaking, which is nice and helpful, though I have NEVER gotten everything I ordered or the correct order when going through the drivethru. If you are inside, it is nice enough but rarely cleaned well… the high chairs are sticky and gross and often the seats are too. Staff is sometimes helpful and other times not very pleasant. Food is hit or miss on fresh and if you eat inside the soda is often not very good on the mix… often tastes flat.

Drive through — Charged my card for almost twice as much as I ordered(wrong order). No receipt. They asked for card back, wouldn’t tell me why. Eventually admitted they charged for wrong order. Fine. Asked them to refund to card and charge correctly. Said that they could not do that. So manager gives me a few bucks and says that’s what I was overcharged. Refused to give me original receipt so that I could figure out correct refund. I wouldn’t leave without it. Many, many cars honking. Eventually get receipt. Sure enough, I had been short-changed by manager.(She wouldn’t give me the receipt so that I wouldn’t know.) Refused to give me number and address of McD corp office. Told me I had to contact store. Riiiigghht. Filed complaint with corporate office. Told me franchise office must handle. Two nasty calls from franchise office. Asked me to provide receipt info. I did. Responded not with an apology, but with«Well, OK. You have a nice day.» He hung up. And this is the short story of a LONG and frustrating experience where I was overcharged, short-changed, and left with a bag of very cold food. STAYAWAY!!!

This McDonald’s ok. It has normal McDonald’s items. My complaints about this place is that they give very little fries. Getting a Large fries here would equate to getting a medium at another location. Other than the below average quantity of fries, there’s really nothing else to say. This is just an average McDonald’s.

This is a perfectly solid McDonald’s, Lunchtime staff is particularly friendly, even if the line to order and retrieve food can be a bit of a scrum between the workaday crowd and the harried moms. The McDoubles(a standard measure of McQuality) tend to have the meat a bit on the done side and a bit heavy on the ketchup, but are in general constructed with appropriate care. The fries at this location have been consistently above average. The soda machine had weak Coke once, but other than that has been fine.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The food is terrible, even by McDonalds standards. The last time that I visited this particular shop, the fries were cold, the order was wrong, and their shake machine was«down.» The machine is probably upset because it’s in a shoddy restaurant. I’d be down, too. If you’re desperate for Mcdonald’s, go to the store in Brighton instead.

Got a rotten double cheeseburger from the drive through– rancid, smelly– disgusting. Will not go back again.

Probably one of the oddest McDonalds locations in Massachusetts. In the middle of a residential/industrial neighborhood(California Street), it’s about 10 feet from the Watertown line. Not a place you’d expect to find a chain fast food joint. This place is modern, and it is extremely clean. Flat panel TVs and wifi access. To the comment of workers not speaking english, well, that’s at any McDonalds in and around Boston. And I don’t really see loitering being a problem there.

McDonald’s are all about salty goodness in limited time. I have never had a good experience at this location. If you want to find all the hoodlums of newton, come here, if you want to find all the people who don’t speak a lick of English, come here. If you want to be helped by a man who looks like frankenstein who likely was punched a few times too many in the head, come here. If you enjoy being ignored and enjoy waiting for all too many minutes just to place your order, come here. This place is filled with loiterers who just hang out near the registers making anyone who needs a quick bite wait and be ignored. If you speak English, your order will not come out correctly, speak Spanish instead to ensure accuracy. They would have had an extra star for their décor and having televisions, however my fries were cold and lacked salt. Total fail. In this economy with unemployment high, I am sure you can hire some overqualified at minimum wage, please do.

This may be the nicest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. They are open 24 hrs as well, which is awesome. What is NOT awesome is that they don’t offer the dollar menu after some certain time. I’m extremely disappointed that they could be that money grubbing as to not offer the dollar menu all the time. Okay, they dropped to 2 stars. Got a huge order last night for myself and my friends around 3 am. We had 4×10 piece chicken mcnuggets and asked for a LOT of sweet and sour sauce, and I emphasized this twice. We(idiotically) didn’t check the bag until we were back at my apartment only to find out they only gave us 4 sweet and sour sauces. That’s just not good enough, and it’s really sickening and disappointing, considering that collectively we ended up spending ~$ 25 at McDonald’s, they could afford to at least give us 8 sauces…

The only thing I eat from McDonald’s is the vanilla soft serve ice cream cone. It’s only 49 cents(that’s not a typo)! Plus, according to the Nutrition page on the lowfat soft serve cone only has 150 calories! It’s sad but this is literally the only place within walking distance of my work to get an ice cream. Plus, it’s a nice walk by the Charles River path to get it. PS — A note to Watertown Sqaure — you need an ice cream store!

The old McDonald’s on Calif. St. was torn down over the summer and replaced with a new wi-fi/plasma-TV-friendly version. But I’ll never go to Macs for the décor, no matter how much they jazz it up. I go for the fries. They make good fries. I may also go for Monopoly Days.
