The restaurant was clean and well-decorated and service was prompt and very friendly. We appreciated having the coffee urn on our table. The only problem is the food, it’s just not that special. They don’t give you real butter(what IS «European style spread»?), they don’t give you real maple syrup and the food seems like it was frozen, i.e. Nothing was made from scratch. There just wasn’t anything special about the food. I wish they would use real butter or homemade jam or fresh bread. Anything local would be nice, too(have you seen the stuff at the el dorado farmers market? Honeys, jams, fresh breads!)Why not try to incorporate something unique and special to this area?

We had breakfast here today and it was really good. We got a lot of food for less money. Paid $ 17 for 2 meals and as much coffee as you want. It’s kinda small, but also cozy. Didn’t have to wait long for our food either. You probably have to know what time to go. Can only recommend to try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

We took our visiting son and his wife to Sunday breakfast this morning. A horrible experience. The wait staff were nice, and that’s all that was nice. It took over 45 minutes before our meals arrived. My omelet was served more like an egg wrap around undercooked veggies and meat. I’m not sure just what the ‘sausage’ was, but it was just small chunks. My wife’s biscuits and gravy were bland and sported the mystery ‘sausage’ chunks. The yolks in my son’s poached eggs we’re cooked to hard boiled. My daughter in law’s blueberry pancake was not much thicker than a crêpe. What they called hash browns were chopped French fries and were greasy and over seasoned. We will never return.

This place is newly opened and had its issues. They were severely understaffed to the point a backup cook was left to serve customers. At one point there was a customer in almost every table and only 2 or 3 had food with close to 15 waiting for orders. They served my wife oatmeal without any brown sugar the menu stated it would have. When asked where it was they had none. They did quickly get her an on the house biscuit and gravy order to fix that. Our server tried his best and was attentive and apologetic that he was helping cook food in in between running food out and coffee refills. It was strange there was no manager around, although maybe he was cooking in the back. By the looks of things they probably shouldn’t have opened the doors for business this morning. Breakfast options were pretty run of the mill with nothing spectacular to point out. 1 star was for the decent food and 1 star was for the effort they put forward. They also need to fix their in house Muzak, that had a loop of about 10 songs and kept stopping with awkward silence while people were quite impatient and a few walked out.
