Just went to a pig sty called Dunkin Donuts in Newtown. I wished I was with the health department so could have sighted them multiple violations. Apparently when asked who the owner was the answer was he never comes around — this was from the 3 young workers standing behind the counter. So if you want to eat on dirty tables while your feet land on filthy floors this is your place to be. Otherwise go somewhere else.

2nd time I’ve been to the location, seriously drove all the way out here to get ice cream… They claim to be 24 hours but you can’t get anything decent this time of day!!! 10pm really… awful rude workers too!!! Never again!!!

Dunkin Donuts is consistent… that’s for sure. They are consistent in coffee quality, donut variety, moderate prices, adequate but not overly friendly service, being busy all day long, and so much more. I stopped by this location today with my friend and her kids and we ordered a couple of coffees and a couple of egg sandwiches. All of the above met our average expectations. The kids gobbled down their sandwiches and we slurped up our coffees.(Mine was french vanilla and my friend’s was hazelnut flavored). This location is conveniently located in a central New Hope strip mall. They have a public restroom, which may come in handy, especially if you’ve got a drive ahead of you. I’m not sure how we managed to get out today without purchasing any donuts or munchkins, but we did it… more reason to splurge on the next visit!

The only reason I go to this Dunkin is because it’s basically my only choice for coffee on my drive to work. It’s Dunkin Donuts, so you don’t expect the donuts to be that good. And if you’re like me, the real reason you go is the coffee. I have loved DD coffee for years. Unfortunately, this location fails miserably when it comes to the coffee. Sometimes it’s good(never great as at some other Dunkin’s). Sometimes it’s okay. Most of the time it’s terrible. Nothing worse than the anticipation of a good coffee followed by the reality check of bad coffee. The kicker is, the coffee is so damn hot when they give it to me, I really can’t tell that it’s terrible until I am halfway to work, and thus unable to get them to replace it. At this point, when I go there I generally regret it and think why do I keep doing this to myself.

I’ve always had good service every time I’ve gone here. Not quite sure why there are such negative reviews. The place is clean, well-run, and has good service. Some of the staff does not care, but most do, and this always leads to me having a generally fine experience here when I want to be in and out for coffee.

They always seem to have what I want and the staff is friendly. The only bad thing is their donuts always seem to be stale. If you want good donuts go to the Richboro location. Coffee is always hot and ready. This place was the town’s lifeline in a recent winter storm because it provided a place for free wifi and a place to charge cell phones!

Ordered custom birthday cake, not ready, and wasn’t gonna be ready… no phone call to let me know. I went in to place an order for a birthday cake on a Monday, for Thursday pickup. LEft my name, phone # and even offered to pay up front but they said I could pay upon pickup. Went to pick up Thursday and there was a lot of fumbling, going into the back room, etc. Finally the manager(I think he’s the owner) came back to tell me that their baker hadn’t come in for the last few days so they could not do the cake. So how about a phone call or some type of heads up? Baskin Robbins ice cream is just okay, but their cakes are the best ice cream cakes out there in our opinion. Unfortunately, this disconnect between advertising that they will make custom cakes, and actually making the custom cakes is not unique to this store. We have had issues at 5 other stores in different areas. Family in other states and friends have had the same issues. We keep trying as this is my husband’s fave birthday cake and only request. The stores have different stories in addition to the one above– one store tried to act like they had made the custom cake and actually just took a standard already made cake from the pre-made inventory and put the logo for the football team and acted like they had misunderstood the cake/ice cream request; one store argued that there was no custom cake order available at BR… that it is not on the BR website as an option… the saga goes on… So BR, do you make custom birthday cakes or not? Your stores don’t really know how to service this and they don’t seem to care as they are happy to just sell the cakes already sitting in their freezer.

I’d give this place a better rating if the AC had been working when it was 90 degrees outside. The line was incredibly long and had I not been desperate for an East Coast Dunkin Donuts fix during my quick trip to Philly, I wouldn’t have stood in the line. However, desperate times call for desperate measures… so in the line I stayed. The service was pretty slow… maybe it felt slower because of the heat. Either way, the donuts themselves were pretty standard. Nothing remarkable, nothing stood out. Fix the AC!!!

I’m usually pretty happy with this place. They don’t always get the order right(forgot the syrup today in my iced coffee) and I’m usually a few miles away at work before I realize it. Just remember to check before you leave!

When it comes to coffee there are three main ingredients: 1. the coffee, 2. the water, and 3. the maker. At Dunkin Donuts the constant is the coffee. The makers are all trained in the same methods and everything comes packaged for ease of use. That makes the quality of the water the primary variable. For some reason, the coffee at this DD tastes different(in a bad way). It is harsh and leaves a bitter aftertaste. It must be the water, because the nearest other DD in Lower Makefield near the Hampton Inn does not have this problem, but they are serviced by a different water company. Elementary, my dear Watson…
