During a recent trip, I stayed at four different hostels, and Gorge View was the best of the four. I loved my stay here. The innkeeper, a handsome man in his mid 30s, was quite nice, helpful, friendly, and easy on the eyes to boot. In addition to helping me find a good restaurant and giving me good directions to the local tourist attractions, he hung out with me on the back patio for a while, and he even forgave me when I accidentally broke a glass I had just washed. Other than that, the bed was fine, the coffee free, the people friendly, and the checkout process a breeze. Oh, and you’re only a ten minute walk from the Falls!

I stayed here two nights (June 22 – 24, 2014) and paid $ 55. It isn’t in a very interesting location but it did indeed have a good view. The owner was very nice and let us go up on the roof to watch fireworks over the falls.
It’s a bit of a walk to the falls, and it is through a neighborhood so it wasn’t very nice at night, but there were places to eat nearby which was great.
The room was clean and had an attached bath, which was nice. There were only females in the room I was in.

A very beautiful hostel, well maintained and under supervision of a very humble but funny gentleman. The rooms and bath are very clean. A plus to this place is each room has an attached bath. The rooms/bath are cleaned daily. The have provided with lockers in the room, but you need to carry your own lock.
They have a small kitchen serves well for tea and coffee in the morning. They have a common eating place with television.
The hostel is minutes away from Niagara fall state park, and very close to good eating joints for young crowd as well as for family.
The fire works at the falls can be easily viewed from the terrace.
This place does have laundry facility, but we did not use it.

Very nice hostel. A lounge and laundry are available and a pool table. It is within walking distance to the American side of the falls. The owner is knowledgable about the area and willing to share. Also he’ll will arrange pickup from Amtrak.
There are bicycles available for renting.

Crystal Beach, Canada

I haven’t stayed here but have been in a couple of times to meet with people. Great vibe in the lounge and check-in areas. If I were still hosteling (like in my former days of tramping around the planet with a rucksack) I would feel safe and invited from the first moment in the door. They also have a bunch of information on activities and such in the area. Definitely check this hostel out if you are looking for a bed in the falls.
