This place used to be called Shining Armour. Then it used both names for awhile(Knights Inn /Shining Armour). Cheap place to stay but I have really horrible memories of this place. Three of us booked it for a romantic triangle type thing, and it was by far the worst threesome of my life(and there have been plenty), and partly that was due to the awful surroundings. I’m not going to say any more than that, but the hotel really doesn’t do much to keep the rooms nice… they’re stale and dingy and not the kind of place you’d really want to spend a night. Or have a threesome.

September 2011 I’m not one of those whiney reviewers who complains about everything but this was really awful. When we pulled up it was dark and sketchy looking like where you might meet after robbing a bank to plan your getaway. Dank-smelling room, dirty linens, a tiny cockroach on the wall… everything that makes you want to run away! We ended up driving around to find somewhere else to stay as it was just too unclean and we didn’t feel safe.

HORRIBLE!!! Booked this through during our one month trip around the US. After this experience, I didn’t booked through them again and I never will. Bed bug bites just by SITTING on the bed. Bathroom smelled of mold and there were unfinished holes in the ground of the bathroom and shower where grates should have been. Towels and blankets looked like they hadn’t been washed. Carpet was so gross I didn’t want to take off my shoes even WITH socks on. Walls were filthy with ripped and peeled back wallpaper. UGH, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. wasn’t any help at all. We left at 10pm(2 hours after we arrived and realized it was against our health interest to stay). Went across the street to the Travelodge and had a good night’s sleep. AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS!!!

Despite this Knight’s Inn having all one star review on Trip Advisor, I’m giving it 2. Why? Because I’ve experienced worse, and I would go back here again if I have a short stay. Pricing: The reviewers on trip advisor paid more than I did. However, they seem to change prices at will. One time I paid $ 40. Another $ 45. It’s not worth anymore than $ 45. I think the others had higher prices because they reserved online. Maybe better to walk in in person. Customer service: The owner was always polite, and the maid that was there was working with her little girl near her and she was very friendly. I think I’ve met two maids there and they were nice young girls. Room: Ya, dirty divey hotel, but if you go to the Royal Inn down by Maple & Brighton on Niagara Falls Boulevard, you’ll appreciate the Knights Inn more! That one was the worst! — I’ve had different rooms there at different times. Some rooms are worse than others. I think the corner room in the back by the hallway was the worst, thin walls and dirtiest with most things well below par. Had one on the right closer to the front office, and it wasn’t too bad for a cheap motel place. –I felt the smoking rooms did smell like smoke.(They didn’t have non-smoking available.) –Wifi is free, but there’s code you have to enter. –My sheets, pillows blankets, etc. were always clean. Didn’t notice any unreasonable spots/stains on carpet. Pretty sure there was a table and chairs. I really only slept here for short stays, so didn’t experience much. But, for a quick cheap overnight stay while traveling, if you know what a cheap motel is, it’s fine. There’s worse out there.
