LongHorn Steakhouse

Tasty food but there are some things to realize about this restaurant. First of all like much of Niagara falls its in a tourist location, directly across from a mall. This means it is almost always packed.
ProTip: DO NOT plan to eat a leisurely Sunday dinner at this place if it is after 6pm on Sunday. The mall across the street closes at 6pm and since this restaurant is right across the street from the mall it will be MOBBED after the mall closes with throngs of hungry shoppers. I am talking the entire entrance way of the restaurant filled with people waiting for tables to the point where there is no more room to stand and wait. I am estimating 30 – 50 people or more all come in at once and all want a seat at once. If you are local and want to eat on a Sunday here go during the afternoon, but you have to be here before 5pm if you want to get a seat on Sunday.
Second there is no wifi at this place, so if you need to meet up with friends and cannot use your phone because you are from Canada or have a wifi only device then you will have to walk across the very busy street to the mall to search for wifi (not sure if the wifi works after the mall is closed). Given this restaurants location and the clientele it serves and the fact that Canadians won’t be able to use their phones within the USA wifi is a must at this location.
This does not mean the food and service isn’t good, its fine. There are just times that you don’t want to be in this place, or waiting in the line to get into this place. Its a steakhouse so prices will depend on what you order and lets face it, again its a steakhouse so that is what they specialize in so the prices will reflect that. Basically you have to get steak when you come here, so if you don’t like steak, go somewhere else. Their steak is good, on-​par with any other steak you have eaten at least. Their Mac & Cheese is out of this world, it costs a bit extra but its SO worth it if you like Mac & Cheese, its literately the best I have ever tasted. Its made with real cheese, real breadcrumbs and not the fake saucy stuff. I couldn’t finish my food, it was a lot of food and I had enough for an entire meal for the next day so that was awesome as well.

Had a great family dinner, food was amazing and the service was great! Waitress was very hands on… Recommend it to anyone, not to long of a wait! Speedy service…

Very good place for a nice steak dinner. Service was on point. Prices are reasonable. We have visited this steakhouse several times in the last 8 months. Enjoyed ourselves Everytime., in fact we are going Tonight. Its Our Anniversary: One dozen long stemmed red roses and a nice dinner. I’m a happy wife.:)

Just ordered the lamb chops and they were first class! They were cooked to perfection and the marinade was definitely worth writing home about. My server tonight was Victoria. She was so knowledgeable and had great recommendations. The calamari was spot on. I didn’t have to ask for a refill, or anything at all as she anticipated my every need. The manager, her name was Becky, was engaging with everyone and made us feel so welcome. We even saw her in restroom wiping down counters. The entire restaurant was clean and we had such a great experience and look forward to returning again.

It’s a chain restaurant but one of the better ones around. Steaks are very good… maybe not chophouse quality but your not paying those ridiculous prices either. A welcome upgrade to the Applebees, Chilis and similar restaurants in this area.

This was my first time visiting Longhorn Steakhouse. I came here with my friend and her family. It seemed liked your general chain steakhouse when you walked in. It wasn’t very crowded since we went on a weeknight. I started with a tall Blue Moon and my friend and her father ordered beer too. Our waitress was good and delivered our drinks within a few minutes. My friend’s father ordered a few appetizers for the table and I ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder. This was probably my favorite item that I ordered. I also tried the Wild West Shrimp and that was delicious! I would definitely order both of those items again. I ended up getting the 8oz sirloin with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked medium how I like it so no complaints there. It was nice and juicy too but I wasn’t blown away. The mashed potatoes were not good. They were doused in butter and garlic and were barely eatable in my opinion. Way too much salt. I also ordered the Caesar salad as my side and that was standard. I would come back here but I wouldn’t go out of my way to.

We too are surprised to see the low reviews for this location. While we have only been to this restaurant twice, both times the food was excellent and the service even better.
Tonight we shared the Porterhouse for 2 with creamy mashed and spinach, with 2 salads.
The steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare and was incredibly tender. Creamy mashed were just that and the spinach was tasty with a baked croûton type crust.
Service was excellent! Our only complaint might be the messiness of the floors but tonight this restaurant was incredibly busy and we did note that the serving staff were doing their best to keep up.
All in all a great meal. Looking forward to our next visit.

4 people at my table ordered steaks… 3 came completely raw. Server was really nice but she was one of the only ones in the restaurant. Manager brought the steaks back and they were cooked fine, but he didn’t introduce himself and didn’t apologize. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great food but that’s the extent of the good stuff. The host seated us in front of ppl that were waiting 30 minutes. The drink waitress didn’t know what «flavors» of coke products they serve. My daughter ordered chicken fingers and fries as a main entrée and is offered a side salad with her meal but my main entrée of their signature burger and fries does not come with a side salad. Then the entrée waitress argued with me that chicken fingers were not a «bar food» or «appetizer» in other restaurants. I asked to please not put horseradish on my plate as I’m deathly allergic and she decided to «put it in a cup on the side» and when it came out it was all over the side of my burger. All these things lead back to poor management. Too bad cause the food was delicious.

Service is good, but the food is not :-(
We ordered Renegade Sirloin & Redrock Grilled Shrimp, and Renegade Sirloin. Both medium rare. One came as medium rare (well, kind’a). The other one was medium… not properly marinated and not from a good piece of meat, and dry… I was quite disappointed, as we expected something much better from LongHorn.
Definitely I would prefer Canyon Creek or OutBack Steakhouse next time.

This was our second visit to this location. I had a 8oz. blue cheese crusted sirloin steak and loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking (medium rare), the potato was very good as well. My meal also came with a salad and dessert. I had a great caesar salad and for dessert I went with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake or as our server Allie referred to it as «a little slice of heaven», it was amazing. Our service was great (thank you Allie) and our experience was as well. We will be back soon!

We just had the most wonderful meal here. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were fabulous! I had the ribeye and my wife had the surf and turf with lobster. The filet that my wife got was a little over cooked and our waiter Dean (who’s going to end up running the place) made sure that she got a new meal, AND when he didn’t like the look of the lobster tail. He brought her another tail.
Excellent service from Dean, and wonderful food!!!

I have been away from home for 10 days. I was in the mood for steak. Our Longhorn in Indianapolis is very good. Since our Longhorn in Indianapolis, IN was good I thought I would give them a try. I did look at previous reviews, but I thought maybe Longhorn had gotten better. I was truly disappointed with service and food.
Drinks and green fried tomatoes were good, but that was all that was good. My son ordered a medium-​rare garlic bone in ribeye, my mother ordered ½ slab of ribs, and I ordered their prime rib medium-​rare. Our waitress refilled my sons drink and spilled it. She told him that she would be back to clean it up. She never came back. He had to use his own napkin to clean up the spill. My mother and I were drinking a beer each. She did not ask if we wanted another drink. We had to ask her for another drink.
Our food finally came. My prime rib was medium. My son’s steak was rare and he said it did not have much flavor and he could not taste the garlic. My mother’s ribs were very tough to cut. She also said they were burnt on top.
We were there 1 ½ hours. People that arrived after us left before us. It seemed as if our waitress was going in circles.

Longhorn steak is usually a good place to go to. Usually the steak is very good, so is there other food. I got a 14oz New York strip and it wasn’t to bad. Cooked to medium as I wanted it. I got mashed potatoes on the side. Was upset because they were some what cold. Also the service wasn’t the greatest barely saw my waitress. That’s why I give this longhorn steak house three stars instead of five. This location isn’t the best one!

First time at this Longhorn the stuffed mushroom appetizer was good, service was good. The kitchen however was unable to cook our porterhouse house for two correctly we asked for medium and it came out extra well and dry. The manager took care of the steak portion of the bill. For a steakhouse it’s expected the steak will be cooked to its finest.

My experience this time was better than the first. We went for luch and enjoyed the items form the lunch special.
Items were good and service was good. They have gotten better I Believe!

Went here tonight for our anniversary. Very good hospitality. Great food, reasonable price, and appropriate atmosphere. This restaurant made a lasting, good first impression.

I wasn’t depressed with steak house. My steak posed to medium well and was too well done and very small for 8 oz steak. I could hardy chew the steak. There side salads was a good size but need more dressing on it. The ranch dressing I have hardly cover the salad. The services was good. Home steak sauce is good. But the rest I didn’t care for. I prefer Texas Road House over this place. I wish there area get Golden Coral.

I am glad my experience was a good one. We found the restaurant to be very clean with fast friendly service and attractive décor. This was a Tuesday evening and it was not busy at all.
We both ordered the berry sangria and found our drinks to be very good. Better than similar drinks at competing restaurants (loved the blackberries. delicious).Our appetizer was the crab artichoke dip. Very good, comes with perfectly crisped pita chips. I preferred this to the typical spinach artichoke dips. I ordered the Napa Grilled Chicken (white wine sauce with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes). It was perfect. I am home and 1 hour later I am craving it ! My girlfriend had the sirloin steak which she said was good, but her baked potato was under cooked.
The honey wheat bread was great and our salads were also as good as can be expected and a generous size. I ordered asparagus as my side which did cost $ 1.59 extra. It was completely worth it, cooked to perfection.
Other than the under cooked potato, we had no complaints. Would definately stop in again.

The place is terrible with Niagara Falls finest. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
