The food was served too slowly. We waited for more than 40 min. Too slow service, and the food not value its price. Never order the steak and fries again… it’s of a very small portion. We don’t like it at all…

Recommend by the hotel staff & Unilocal,we gave it a try… not that there are many choices. Sad to see the decline of this town. The food here was fabulous. We were visiting the falls with my cousin & her husband who are from Mumbai touring the US. They really enjoyed the food and the drinks were great. The service is a little slow but its not the fault of our server. I saw only two & our server was doing double duty as the bartender. Super nice guy! Plus it was pretty crowded with locals it seemed. Worth visiting for a nice leasurely meal. Oh the firefighters showed cause the table next to us ordered 2 flaming cheeses. One per table every 30min seems like a good rule. Lol.

Im not sure if we just happened to stopped by on a bad day, but really unpleasant experience. Hubby and i looked up this place and decided to go for dinner, first of all, wines are nice. But thats it! We ordered a greek tapas, scallops, and a pasta of the day. The breads of the tapas has greenish moldy dots on them! They agree to remove it from the bill, but i asked them if they can exchange the bread instead? They agreed, but the breads came the second time are warm, which is ok, but the breads that came originally with the dish were cold! So I’m not sure if the breads that come with tapas suppose to be warm or cold… I mean thats pretty much it, after the appetizer, we couldn’t really enjoy the rest of meal anymore, the only reason i would five a three stars is because the scallops were decent, and wines are good. Bottom line, wouldn’t recommend it unless you are just there for drinks.

From our experience, this was the best food we ate in the area. Everything that out server, Jacob, recommended was amazing. I find that servers sometimes steer you in the wrong direction here and there, but everything he recommended from tapas to dessert was on point. The restaurant has a nice and relaxed vibe and the food was great. We had the ahi, pork belly, and cheesecake. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are staying on the New York side of the falls and want a quality meal and a good price.

I visit Niagara Falls on a regular basis for work. At first I was unsure of what to expect when it came to restaurants. I was afraid I would be limited to tourist traps and chains. I was pleasantly surprised to find Wine on Third and it came highly recommended by colleagues. The first thing I noticed is the outstanding service. The bartender pours quickly and drinks came to the table quickly. Food was equally as quick to make its way to our table as well. My most recent visit was with another 15 people, we got seated in a separate room and it was comfortable and spacious. Our group was quite diverse, people with all sorts of preferences and food restrictions(no dairy, vegetarian, etc) and everyone found something to their linking on the menu. I’ll definitely be back again and again.

They had a «Special» when I visited on a Thursday; it was a bowl of pasta(gnnochi) with a huge chunk of braised pork. This was really exceptional and truly some of the best braised pork I’ve ever had and well worth the $ 18; plus a glass of Napa Cabernet for $ 10 — again, excellent value. The regular menu looked very good and fairly priced too. However, I found the ownership /management to be very unwelcoming. But the bar staff was friendly and very well trained /informed about their food, wine and beer.

According to Unilocal there are not many places on the american side, while our breakfast decision had left us disgruntled we didn’t take a chance on our dinner. Quick search on Unilocal put Wine on third at the top 3 within 5 miles around us, we decided to go :). At the very first step in –you fall in love with the low relaxing music which fits perfect with glass of wine. We ate pizza and nachos both were delicious made of fresh ingredients only! You can really feel when it’s not one of those frozen nasty pizzas. The main reason I liked this place is bc of the way they treat their customers, I forgot to tell the waiter to remove the sausage from our nachos and even though I mentioned it at the last min when he was with the plates on the way to us, he went back into the kitchen with a smile and said«no problem it will take only few minutes» Great service great environment great food, if one day I will visit Niagara Falls again I will definitely come back!

The service and the food was exceptional! The salad I ordered had a fried blue cheese ball on top. It was delicious! The house Wine was good. The brownie and peanut butter dessert was worth the splurge.

Perhaps this place suffered in ranking a little because of where it is located(Niagara Falls is like a ghost town). Perhaps it was the slow service. Or perhaps it was the average food. Either way, it was an experience that left me with more questions than answers. For example, why did I have to go to the bar to order when I was sitting at a table in the dining room? Yeah, weird. I’m not going to even spend any time on the food as it was a forgettable experience. I do remember having a tasty local brew, but that was the only highlight of this adventure. Next time around, I’ll likely head back over the Canadian border to see if the ghost town environment has avoided the other side of the falls.

Awesome find in Niagara Falls NY. We love wine and were pleased to find this wine bar when visiting family in the area. They have a quiet, inviting area. You can sit inside or out. Their menu was great. They stay with small plates and have awesome meals as well. We had the antipasto plate and it was great. I had Flint and Steel Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had the Bistro Pinot Noir… both were fabulous. If we were locals, we would be here almost daily. Musty do for wine lovers! ##

My better half and I were going to a concert at Rapids Theatre one night when we realized we were way too early and not trying to wait outside. Let’s go to dinner? Um, yes. Of course. Pulled up Unilocal and found this beauty of an establishment! When we pulled up there were lots of different types of people out on the patio enjoying their food and drinks(which looked way fancy). I tried to catch a sneak peek of everyone’s plates to help me make a decision upon entering. We sat at a cozy booth right across from the bar. There was live music(Steve Ballistieri?) which was excellent and perfect for the atmosphere. Our server was great. He was quick, attentive, and a complete gentleman. The food was beautiful and it was fast. Most importantly it was delicious. I opted for the Chilled Tuna entrée. Chilled Ahi Tuna encrusted with sesame seeds atop suba noodles and wakame. The presentation was gorgeous(photo has been posted) and it tasted even better than it looked. Some of the best tuna I’ve had. It was fresh and filling. My boyfriend had the Angus Burger which was so monsterous it turned out to be two meals… which is okay with me because I got to help eat it later. Just completely fresh meat on a bun toasted to perfection. Fries on the side were crisp and of course perfect with the burger. Aside from my dirty martini I opted to try one of their signature cocktails… a citrus martini with rosemary. It complimented my dinner completely. It was perfect for a nice night out. Cool, refreshing, and a bite that I needed. All in all this was fantastic and I can’t wait to make it back!

This place is fantastic. We ordered a couple of tapas to start, including the grilled asparagus(the best!!) and the bruschetta, which was interestingly covered with blue cheese crumbles and had honey drizzled on it. We were also served house bread with oil/balsamic dipping sauce. For our meal we ordered one of the special pizzas, the Greek pizza. My only complaint about the pizza was that it was too liberally topped with feta, kalamata olives, and pesto. I would normally never complain about this, as I love all of those ingredients, but on a small pizza those flavors can become very overwhelming. For dessert we ordered the tuxedo cake, which was also very good. The wine list is varied, which was, of course, expected and appreciated. Our meal, consisting of 2 rounds of drinks, 2 tapas, 1 pizza to split and 1 dessert to split, along with tax and tip, set us back $ 85. It was worth it as we got to take in a multitude of flavors over a series of courses. All in all we had a lovely dinner here and would return again if we are in the area.

I was advised by my hostel innkeeper to give this place a try, and, I am glad that I did! I had the Chicken Marsala. My entrée came in a HUGE bowl, and was creamy deliciousness embodied. To drink, I tried this thing called Brandywine. Both were pretty good, more than reasonably priced, and you could absolutely taste the freshness. I would eat here again, no doubt.

This is a really great, non-touristy Niagara Falls visit dinner stop. Wine on Third stocks a lot of local wines; we had the Riseling, and it was perfect — not too sweet and from a nearby winery. Food-wise, we had the Greek sampler(a hummus/pita/olive plate), the mushroom quesadilla, and the soup of the day. The food was all amazing and very filling; my only qualm is that my soup a served a bit luke-warm.

Wine on Third what can you say ? The food was amazing … Thai Shrimp and Risotto was delicious. the risotto as perfect as you could ever have. The mussels were delicious and huge. Nice having a mussel that is a mouthful instead of having to eat 4 or 5 small ones for the equivalent. The only downside to our dining experience here was the service or lack of it. That was so disappointing for it ruined what would have been an amazing dining experience.

Came here on a cold weekday night after exploring the dark falls. We were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Wine on Third, after looking to our fellow Unilocal friends for advice. This restaurant is not only great for wine, but has a wide selection of shareable plates. From beef skewers to scallop risotto, I walked away full and delighted. I would recommend any group of people, whether just 2 or 5 plus to consider sharing plates here. They do have entrée selections, but they were limited. Our waiter was good, but honestly could have been better for such a dull night in the place. However, at the end of our meal, a young African American tall slim male came out to clear our plates and we instantly loved his attitude and presence, if only for those few seconds. I thought to myself, «They should be putting him at the front or more with customers!» So if Wine on Third reads this, I hope you get that guy(please note my more than usual detail when describing him, wish I had caught his name) out of the back & to the front. Let his character shine, might bring more happiness and upbeat to the whole restaurant.

Last month my husband and I stayed at the nearby Sheraton and found ourselves at Wine on Third for a Friday evening dinner. Wine and tapas – our kind of meal! Unfortunately, a dining experience that seemed promising ended up being rather disappointing. We ordered a variety of tapas, some better than others. The menu is all over the place, which can be both good and bad. The good thing is that you’re bound to find something that appeals to you; the bad thing is that if your plan is to order a bunch of tapas you won’t have too many options unless you’re willing to mix cuisines. Italian, Greek, Asian, and more – they’re all on the menu. I should note that this experience would be 3 stars had I not factored in service. Service wasn’t terrible, but it was far from good. We were given the bare minimum attention; it was as though we were an inconvenience to the waiter. Lastly and also contributing to our not-so-amazing experience, we were seated way in the back with a view of mostly the storage area behind a portion of the bar that doesn’t seem to get much use. Customers shouldn’t be able to see that stuff. All in all, a $ 100-ish dinner(bottle of inexpensive Lambrusco and tip included) that didn’t feel like money well spent.

Walked in here on an early evening on Sunday and was surprised at how empty it was — I keep anticipating crowds like the restaurants in NYC. As soon as I walked in, I was asked if I was here for the show. I looked confused like someone walking in at a bad time and said«no, what show». But it didn’t matter, I quickly asked to sit at the bar. While I looked through the menu, people started pouring into the place in small groups. I finally looked it up online that there was a magic show that night for $ 50. It must have included the magic show and a buffet because guests started to get plates of food from the back. I decided that I will go light on this meal since I wasn’t terribly hungry and figure I could have other things later on that night. I ordered the seared scallop risotto and a sweetened iced tea. First of all, the portion is small like tapas size. This confused me because when I asked the waiter how big the portion was, he told me it’s big and should be shared with a group. The scallops can use some salt or seasoning but otherwise it had a good sear on it. The risotto was much better in flavor. I thought I wouldn’t like the corn in the risotto but I actually liked it. I would recommend coming back here to try their other small plates if I do return to NF.

It took a while but after 15 minutes of walking and empty bars we came across the Wine on Third. The NYC name didn’t disappointed us as the bartender was super nice and friendly, wine was great and affordable(we had the Riesling) and the Greek sampler and the cranberry salad were delightful. The live music and the locals made the ambiance relaxing, fun and enjoyable. Definitely a place for a glass of wine and a late night bite!
