I had lunch here one afternoon with my Mom and Dad. We ordered the buffalo chicken, and chicken brusheta paninis. Each panini came with a side salad and chips. The sandwiches cost $ 9.00 each and I would atribute this markup to the sandwich being a panini and it’s ‘presentation’. The restaurant itself was very modernly decorated and served locally produced cream sodas and root beers. I would definitely eat here again.

Café Lola was highly recommended, and it definitely didnt let us down. The set up is kind of weird. You go up to the counter to order and pay, but she brings your meal to you. We ordered two paninis. I had the Chipotle Steak panini and my boyfriend had the Roasted Eggplant panini. Him being a vegetarian, weve had trouble finding places to eat. But Café Lola actually had a good amount of options. We also ordered the Sweet Potato fries. DEFINITELYGETTHEM. Maple syrup, butter, biscotti crumbs and almonds. Great choice. Delicious lunch!

Solid menu had the chipotle turkey sandwich. Thick slices of turkey good flavor. Went there for lunch, seems like a great place for lunch. Keli had beer cheese soup, not the best but it was very good. Small place nice atmosphere. Very nice staff.

What a great place for lunch in downtown Niagara Falls! From the beautiful linens, art décor on the wall to the tasteful white plates and mugs — it’s a truly elegant option for lunch in the Falls. With the price points being pretty reasonable, their most expensive item being the Mac & Cheese with Lobster for $ 18 — the few times I’ve had lunch here I’ve opted for the fish fry at $ 10. They also have a few soup offerings each day, with one of their offerings the other day being the beer & cheese soup. I asked to sample it and it was absolutely delicious — I assumed it would be a little too overwhelming, salty but it seemed just right. The food came out rather quickly. The crust of the fish fry I ordered was beer-battered and perfectly crispy. The tartar sauce was home made and delectable. It was served with a mix of sweet fries and regular fries and I thoroughly enjoyed the fries as well. My only complaint was the fish and crust seemed a little too salty for my taste — so much so that I noticed it. When a dish is spiced to my liking, I don’t notice the ‘saltiness’ of it, if that makes any sense. My girlfriend’s eggplant panini was served on sourdough bread and was pretty good, although the flavors were quite subtle. This is a great place for lunch or perhaps a casual Saturday dinner(they stay open until 8p then). Will be back!

Michael We want to thank you so much for allowing us to have our wedding rehearsal dinner at Caffe Lola’s. The food was fantastic. All the sandwiches were awesome, the strawberry salad was perfect and everyone loved the sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese. We so appreciate that you and the staff stayed open late to accommodate our party. A hidden jewel in Niagara Falls. We wish you great success with you Caffe and everyone who reads this review go enjoy Caffe Lola you will not be disappointed it is excellent.

Oh, wow. I was impressed. Decent prices and amazing food. I thought that any place near Niagara Falls would be really expensive. When we walked in at ~1 pm on a Saturday, it was empty, so I wasn’t too sure about this place. But Unilocal reviews were good. Glad we stayed! Sweet potato fries– crispy, drizzled with maple syrup and some type of crunchy topping. Totally addictive. Large portions. BEST I’ve ever had. None compare, especially the ones I make myself. Tomato basil soup — got a large to share between two. They give you an extremely generous portion. It comes in a huge mug, and I mean huge! We didn’t finish. Paninis– M got the Chipotle Turkey. I already forgot which one I had actually… It was whichever one of the vegetarian ones that the waitress recommended. They come with potato chips and a side salad. Forget the potato chips. Eat your sweet potato fries. Mac and cheese– Y’s choice. She liked it, but I’m just used to those microwaveable ones I made as a kid, so I never get mac and cheese at a restaurant. We were all stuffed after this.

You know a place is good when they only have to be open for a few hours a day. Fantastic food at great prices. Had the M. Cristo and pommes frites and watched the owner make everything from scratch. Others in our party had the fish & hips and sweet potato fries and they looked great. Skip the Hard Rock and go for the good stuff.

Wow, what an expected find in Niagara Falls! Amazing eats include: Sweet potato fries drizzled with maple syrup and topped with a cookie like crumble. Tastes almost like french toast. Mac N’ Cheese. Probably the 2nd best Mac N’ Cheese I’ve ever had. Large spiral noodles coated in creamy deliciousness. Topped with breadcrumbs. For dinner, I also got the Chipotle Steak panini with steak, santa fe spices, roasted peppers, caramelized onions, and cheddar. Freaking amazing.

Thank you ever so much my fellow Unilocalers for guiding me here. I looked up places with good reviews while in Niagara Falls and this café looked decent enough. Little did I know I would absolutely love it! You place your order up at the counter, grab a seat in their absolutely chic, well decorated but casual space(I love the table centerpieces), and then they bring your order out from their open kitchen to you lickety split! I was torn between ordering the mac & cheese or the portebello mushroom ravioli, but in the end went with the ravioli. It just sounded too good to pass up! And man am I glad I got it and it lived up to all my expectations. The super creamy yet light tomato sauce was fantastic over the perfect raviolis filled with my favorite thing in the world — Portobello mushrooms. Fabulous dish! If you’re in Niagara Falls to visit or reside there, you MUST go to Caffe Lola. With all of the tourist options, this blows everything else out of the water as far as quality, taste, price and the casual yet classy dining area.

We had a great time at this little hideout, away from the main street tourist traps and overpriced junk faire. Portions seemed small, but they were REALLY good and we left full. We opted for the two three course dinners for $ 30 special. Spring salad was great, I went for the mussels and my wife had the Gnocchi… again both were perfect. Our two kids had homemade mac and cheese. Thanks for the Unilocal tips, this spot place was perfect, just wish they were open on Sunday.

Very nice, quaint café. Great red pepper tomato bisque! Did not care for the pomm frites or dipping sauces much. The bread they use for the panini is wonderful.

This adorable little restaurant has so much going for it: delicious food and mind blowing cheap prices. For THIRTYDOLLARS both me and my cousin got: a soup, a salad, two TOPNOTCH entrees(I highly recommend their mushroom ravioli it is to die for) and two gelatos for dessert. All for 30 dollars. What. And not to mention all of that food was oh so very mMMMMmm worthy. It was great because all the touristy restaurants looked and smelled awful. This place was a little ways(15 minute walk) from the hubbub of the tourists, but that’s what makes it much better in my opinion. Quality food is definitely worth the«trek.»

Walked to Caffe Lola for a late lunch while doing the«touristy» things at the Falls(Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, etc). The walk takes around 20 minutes from the Falls(a little more than a mile, I’d guess). It is a little ways down on 3rd St., but the neighborhood still feels safe — there are a good amount of other businesses. The giant caraffe of water that they place on your table as you enter was well-received on this hot summer day. They hand you a menu, and you can take your time to look it over; when you’re ready to order, you head up to the counter, place your order, and pay at the same time. This system leaves me wondering what I should do for the tip — do I put it on my credit card receipt now, even though I have no idea how the service will be? Do I look like a cheapo and put $ 0 tip on my credit card receipt, but then leave a cash tip afterwards? Or are we not supposed to tip at all? I ordered the Chipotle Steak panini, and it was tremendous. Perfect amount of meat, the chipotle sauce was great, and the accompanying side salad and homemade pita chips made it into a nice meal. It definitely filled me up, even though the panini isn’t that big. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Bruschetta panini, which was also good. By the looks of the other reviews, I should’ve got a side order of sweet potato fries — next time!

I was in Buffalo for the National College Fair and myself and a few colleagues decided to go to the falls, because we had never been before. We didn’t all have our passports, so we went to the US side. We planned on finding something to eat on our way there, but we quickly realized that it was going to be much harder than we thought. There was a lot of construction, and many of the areas we drove through seemed very depressed. We passed Caffe Lola once and thought it looked strange because of the grass in the window. When we realized there were hardly any other options, we decided to park and give it a try. Once we walked inside, we felt much better. It was a really cute, normal looking restaurant. It’s the type where you order and pay at the counter and they bring you the food when it’s done. I forget what sandwich I got, but it was good, and I got the sweet potato fries for the table. They were great. I think they put honey on them? And possibly butter, and it kind of melts down because the fries are hot. They were delicious! Top 5 sweet potato fries ever. One of my friends got the beer and cheese soup, and liked it a lot as well. Great choice where there aren’t many to begin with. Oh, bathrooms were kinda strange, you like walk through a back hallway in the building, but were very clean.

Came here with a large group and got to try a bunch of things. It’s probably one of the better choices around, but not anything special. If this were in another town surrounded by better food options, I’d give it two stars, but since it’s in the culinary wasteland of Niagara Falls, NY, it gets 3. PROS: Fries were nice and spicy and came with all sorts of yummy dipping sauces. Mussels had FABULOUS flavor. Sweet Potato fries were over the top sweet but still yummy. CONS: Mac and cheese was dry and almost tasteless. The S’mores sandwich was reportedly«just ok» and left almost intact. Everyone who had sandwiches said they were«okay.» The best part of my meal were the crumbled macaroon bits that were served on top of the sweet potato fries. I picked them off and saved them for dessert. A lot of people reported that the gelato there was excellent, so I’m guessing they do better with pastries than entrees.

Three and a half stars, really. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I was really excited about coming to Café Lolla for lunch on my first full day in Niagara Falls, but I ended up being very underwhelmed. To cut to the chase, everything I ordered ended up being pretty bland. It was a cold day, so I ordered«beer cheese soup» to warm up. Beer, cheese, and soup and three of my four favorite food/drink groups(the other being gelato), so if someone can combine two or more of them, I am usually very happy. This bowl of soup, however, was thin and mostly flavorless, tasting more like nondescript cheese watered down with watery beer than any great combination of beer and cheese. Thankfully, there was a bunch of shredded white & yellow cheddar cheese at the bottom which helped out with the flavor. For my entrée, I got the gnocchi with creamy pesto sauce, which the waitress said was«very good». That’s actually why I picked it over a panini, but I wish I had gone with a sandwich instead. Boyfriend had the chicken bruschetta panini and it was way tastier than my pasta dish, which was bland bland bland. I didn’t really get a lot of pesto taste, which is a shame because pesto/fresh basil is a powerful flavor. It should be noted that boyfriend was ready to give them four stars off of his sandwich alone, so it’s probably best to stick with the panini options. It was pretty good, and made me kind of jealous. With two sodas and tip, the bill was around 30 bucks or so, as most of our meals in Niagara were.

My family and I went there right before it ended for the day and we enjoyed every single dish. It was worth the long walk from the Niagara Falls State Park. We ordered the Pomme Frites which had a garlic aoli which was really good. My brother really liked the chipotle mayo. Our server said that it was spicy but it wasn’t really. We also ordered the monte cristo and chipotle steak panini. Both of them were really good and not too toasted. We also got tomato soup which was pretty dark and had little chunks of tomato in it. But the baguette that came with it seemed fresh baked. We got the Spinach and Orange Salad. I really wanted to try the mac-n-cheese but we came too late so they didn’t have any left :(But we got the portabello mushroom ravioli with red pepper cream. SOGOOD. We got two desserts. A gelato parafait and regular gelato. The sweet cream gelato was super creamy and way better than all the touristy junk and perry’s ice cream anywhere. The parafait came with raspberry and chocolate syrup and the regular gelato came with two lemon sugar biscottis. The gelato was apparently made by some store in west ny with all fresh ingredients and handmade. All the food was really great. I would definitely go here again.

My fiancé & I ate dinner here tonight(Saturday) around 6:30 pm. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant. If it weren’t for that, I would have given Caffe Lola 5 stars. But it ruined the entire ambiance as we ate in silence and I felt like we were the only thing the staff had to look at. So awkward. BUT, the food was great, décor was adorable, and the staff was friendly. Prices are fair and portions are perfect size. Unfortunately, this place is just located in the wrong part of town. Surrounded by bars, crack heads, and a giant casino, Caffe Lola is doomed in my opinion. It’s sad that such a great little place is suffering on Third St. We had the pomme frite to start, which were just french fries with ketchup and two other dipping sauces. Nothing impressive, but worth the $ 4 we paid. For the main course, I got the gnocchi with basil cream sauce, which was delish! My man ordered the chipotle chicken panini, which came with chips and a small salad. He liked everything he had. We used a gift certificate that we got on , and our bill was only about $ 17. I loved this place, but I’d be leary to come back without more people in my group.
