Waffle House

Within the first 2 minutes of sitting down and holding menus we were asked twice if we were ready. Finally I told the waitress we would tell her when we have decided and were never asked for our drink order. When we signaled. She sent someone else over. We ordered with her asking for our drink order last. This is breakfast, most would want coffee almost immediately. I ordered the «Texas BLT» when asked what made it «Texas» Kayla our waitress said «Texas toast and 5 pieces of bacon. I ordered it. When it came it had one barely green lettuce leaf on white regular bread that was toasted on one side only and several bacon shards. Husbands and sons food was good (breakfast) although all hash browns were ordered «scattered and smothered» all were only cooked on one side. Never again. Across the street is a donut shop that’s been here for years. That’s my choice from now on.

Food was great but the place is full of tables for two. They could use a few more booths that seat four.

We just had to hit up the Waffle House, especially since we were in the South!
If you are looking for some quick, cheap and southern comfort breakfast food — this is the place to go to! It’s a little dirty and rundown, but it definitely hits the spot.
