Husband — Hey Honey what do you want to do tonight? Wife — I don’t know but I’m tired of playing Donkey Pong and eating Cheesy Lentil Roadkill Compote. Can we go somewhere new tonight? Husband –Why yes. As soon as I get done coating my toes in used motor oil we will go that Tapas Bar in Nicholasville. Alright, I have been wanting to go here for a long time but thought, «its probably to far of a drive». Its not. It is only a 15 minute drive from our house on Tates Creek road over to main street in Nicholasville to Euro Wine Bar. Street parking is available and is located very close to the establishment. Ample seating is available and fortunately we got there around 6 p.m. before the rush that hit soon after. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. We chose to sit at the small bar so that we could see the action. It was fun watching the Mixologist making drinks for Patrons and getting to ask questions. The wine list is very nicely done without having a huge selection of wines that will be past due by the time someone orders them(not many wines age well). This way you are guaranteed a wine served while it is in peak condition. We had a White Bourdeux blend and a Rose. Both were excellent. The menu was also small, which to me ensures quality, but still had a great variety of choices from dips to sliders to salads and desserts. We tried the Baked Dip first. Wow!!! This is a must have when, not if, you go here. A mixture of blue cheese, bacon and Bacchus own Secrets made this a insanely great dip. The best that I have had, hands down, no doubt!!! So rich and creamy you feel dirty eating it but you can’t stop. The Antipasto plate was also great with yeast rolls, crackers, cheeses, meats and strawberries. The Prosciutto on the Antipasto plate was fabulous. It was so moist and tender. I can’t believe we have been this long in getting out to this place but I highly recommend going here and we will be back.

Love this small town, Main Street restaurant and bar. Limited but amazing menu. Good wine list. Beer selection includes local varieties. Excellent and personal service. Can sit outside on a nice night. Portions are shareable, esp the warm port brownies(my fav)!

Phenomenal! After coming off a horrible experience at a more commercial, well advertised restaurant the previous night, we found this gem. The service was exceptional, personable, friendly, but never intrusive. I wish I could remember her name and give her Kudos! But I have the feeling everyone there is good. The food, YUM! And we tried just about everything(large party). Love the portion size(quality, not quantity), the fresh ingredients, the variety and the atmosphere. Cannot wait to return!
