Hands down my favorite coffee shop. Wonderful staff. My favorite drink is J’s Mocha, iced with whipped cream! I’ve had quite a few food items as well. My favorite is the tomato soup and grilled cheese. Coming in at a close second is the Gouda melt. I love that they have incorporated a «Pay It Forward» wall. Customers can purchase a coffee or a muffin, or anything else on the menu and dedicate it to someone they see fit. I’ve seen some up there for a whiny child, a first responder, someone who needs a pick me up, a new mother, someone who is coping with a loss, etc. This is a beautiful idea within the crazy world we live in. I recommend J’s to anyone who is spending any amount of time in Nicholasville, even if they’re just passing through. Thanks guys for the delicious coffee and scrumptious food!

It is a pretty cool looking place and the atmosphere is great, but service is less than desirable and the drinks are okay. Most of the baristas have minor experience. I’ve been here a few times now, and all of my beverages have been okay. Often times they’ve been cold and the espresso to milk ratio is pretty milky. Like many specialty coffee shops, it is pricey. I’m giving it three stars because it has potential to be awesome, but it has a journey to get there.

Love this place. Great breakfast and lunch, and coffee, of course. Very cool atmosphere. Customer service is excellent. And they are a business with a higher purpose. It doesn’t get much better than that.

The J in the name of this café/sandwhich shop stands for Jesus. They are a faith based business trying to make a difference and provide a venue for people who want to hang out in a great enviroment. One of the employees told us they plan on opening the second floor into a quiet area for youth groups and other social clubs and meetings to use. The owner and staff are charming and love to talk and hear stories. Just ask, and they will tell you their favorites there(though all the food and coffee is AMAZING) I love this place and though I don’t live in Nicholasville, I plan on going back whenever possible!

I came here with a group and was glad we checked it out. There’s a good amount of seating, so finding a table for the six of us was easy. They also got through our drink orders quickly, which was impressive since we all ordered different things. The atmosphere is great — comfy yet sleek with big sofas and exposed brick. Prices were also reasonable for a coffee shop and the quality matched. I don’t plan on being in the area very often, but if I ever am I would certainly stop by here again.

Stopped in at J’s place in Nicholasville for a quick breakfast. VERY impressed with their mission, atmosphere, and the food.
