Pretty solid Mexican food. This is my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We always get the fajitas which are pretty good. The Cozumel fajitas offer the most variety and come with huge quantities. The single person plate is enough to feed two with leftovers! Their complimentary chips and salsa are also really good. Four stars because it’s an above average Mexican place but not good enough to leave me craving their food when I’m not there.

We Love this place. Julian the owner is the kindest owner I know. I watch him go from table to table talking to his guests. This is a great place to eat. The food is authentic and the corn tortillas are hand made. He has great sauces he will let you sample. He is always good to us. His staff are grade A. And the place is always so clean and the atmosphere is A+ There are 2 locations one on nicholasville road and the other off Lansdowne drive. Try it out!!! 10 stars for hacienda

Pretty average Mexican place that is a good place if you are in the mood for Mexican. The food is good but nothing too brag about. I had the chicken fajita quesadilla which was had lots of veggies but not much chicken. Also they do not give you much lettuce pico or sour cream. Their cheese dip is pretty good to if you want something else besides their salsa, which is tasty.

Best Mexican Food in the universe. I had the Carnitas and they were amazing. It was cold that day and I was brought a complimentary bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup, it was fabulous. They should serve it every day. Service was awesome and the owner is just as awesome. Will be my go to spot for Mexican food. Portions are huge!

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town, I know I say that about almost every Mexican restaurant, but what can I say? I love Mexican food! This location technically isn’t in town/Lexington, it’s just outside of Lexington, in Nicholasville. It’s off Nicholasville Road, in the Brannon Crosssing area, to be exact. The Lansdowne location used to be Lexington’s most popular Mexican restaurant. If you wanted Haciendas on a weekend, you’d better be prepared to wait an hour to be seated. So, at some point in time, this location was developed. This location is a lot larger, so I’ve never had to wait on a table. I’ve seen the owner here a few times, but I think for the most part he mans the other location. I think that his son manages this location. I just happen to know a regular and he told me all of this. I have met Julian, the owner and he is very nice, and hard working. I like knowing that I’m supporting a local business and not a franchise corporation. The food… you start out with chips and salsa. When does one stop eating the addicting chips and salsa? Until the food that you order arrives and you’re stuffed. You can also ask for the hot version of the salsa, but make sure that your cup is full of soda, or something to wash it down with, because it’s hot. I usually order a burrito. The last few times that I was there, I noticed the«specials» sign listed the seafood burrito at special rate… enticing, so that’s what I ordered. It comes with refried beans and rice, but I dislike rice, so they swap it out for fries. The seafood burrito was topped with cheese sauce and inside was scallops, salmon, and shrimp… I wouldn’t necessarily say that it was stuffed, there were a few bites that were just torilla, missing any seafood. The tortillas are fresh and handmade. As you work in, you can usually find a lady making the tortillas. The last time that we were there, they say five different families with small children all around us. I don’t have anything against every small children, it’s the bratty, rude, loud ones that annoy me. Anyway, I think restaurants that have separate sections like this location does, should separate the families with small children, from the patrons dining without children. Just a suggestion to business owners far and wide.

Wellllllllllll first of all HI and second of all me and the missus rolled up last night looking to get sorted out with some of our favorite Mexican food and really we usually go to the other one but yesterday we went to this one because we were closer and I think bae got some chicken and rice and cheese thing and I got a cheese quesadilla and some sweet potato fries and honestly the sweet potato fries came on a bed of lettuce and I was like why??? That almost cost Hacienda a star in my review tbh but our waiter was so nice that he got it back up to 5 stars so anyway I’m sure we will be back either way but COOLIT with the lettuce ok???

The staff here is really nice and they handle large groups with grace and efficiency(we made a day-of reservation for 14 people and they didn’t miss a beat). The service and food are both hit or miss though. We’ve had great service at times, but not always. The most recent time we came(last weekend), it took 40 minutes to get our check and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all(our server was covering 2 – 3 tables total). Some of the food is well-seasoned while other items are often bland or just«off.» The Monterey Pollo sounded good on the menu, but was actively bad. Really nice people and a good location, but I wish their flavors and service were consistently better.

Mi Pequeña Hacienda Mexican Restaurant — Brannon Crossing is one of our family’s favorite Mexican restaurants around. The ambiance is festive with over-sized seating(with options of tables/chairs or booths). We’ve always been fortunate to time our arrival(s) just right: always little-to-no-waiting. The entire staff from the hostess station to the servers to the hands-on management team is friendly and welcoming. The bar & kitchen staff gets every drink and every dish perfect, every time! The servers are very attentive, and the hands-on management team is always circulating through the restaurant ensuring that each guest is pleased with their dining experience. But wait, there’s more! The pricing is reasonable, and there’s a ‘favorite’ for everyone in our family, which is always a bonus when dining out as a family. The generous portions usually mean a «bonus meal» the next day, too! That’s family-friendly. By far, my favorite: Baja Seafood Tacos(Tiger Shrimp) Choose from strips of tilapia fillet or tiger shrimp fried in authentic Mexican spices and stuffed into flour or corn tortillas. Served with their red pepper chipotle sauce, cabbage, pico de gallo, sour cream and your choice of Mexican rice or beans. Tilapia $ 10.49 | Shrimp $ 10.49 My wife’s favorite: California Burrito $ 8.99 A large flour tortilla with grilled chicken or steak stuffed with refried beans, rice, shredded cheese and pico de gallo. Our Teenage Son’s favorite: Burrito Mexicano $ 8.99 Large flour tortilla stuffed with pork, cooked with tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and topped with cheese sauce, ranchero sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole. Our Elementary-Age Daughter’s favorite: Children’s Chicken Soft Taco $ 3.99 Flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, cooked with lettuce and tomatoes. Respectable servings of Mexican rice and refried beans. If you’ve not made dinner plans with the family, and if you’re looking for a family-friendly, welcoming atmosphere with affordable, fresh, generous-sized menu selections, Mi Pequeña Hacienda Mexican Restaurant — Brannon Crossing should be on your list!

Mi Pequena is my favorite for Mexican in town. I prefer the Brannon location because it’s larger closer to my house than the one on Lansdowne. I love the Seafood Tacos! I get the shrimp tacos but I order the shrimp grilled instead of fried. They don’t list this option on the menu but it’s available. I prefer grilled and it’s a bit more diet-friendly. You also get a choice of corn or flour tortillas for the tacos. Get the corn tortillas! The servers don’t ask, and if you don’t specify, you’ll get flour. The only complaint I have(other than the fact the serve Pepsi products) is that their salsa is a bit inconsistent. I don’t like hot salsa(I know, I know it’s salsa it’s supposed to have a kick) and it’s always a 50⁄50 chance on whether or not the salsa will be too hot for me. If the salsa is too hot, we order the queso though so it’s a win either way:)

Always a great time. The owner always does table visits to make sure our experience is Awesome not just the food. I recommend getting the Diablo Margarita, simply Amazing when you order it with fresh lime juice and mix. Great portion sizes you will have to take some home for leftovers. Always a clean restaurant and friendly staff.

My favorite Tex-Mex spot in Kentucky. Hands down, I literally eat at the one in Brannon crossing at least 3 – 4 times a month.

Food was good, but not worth the wait. This was the slowest day and the worst service our family experiences. We sat down at 5pm and didn’t get our food until after 5:35pm. We were out the door by 6pm. Mexican dining should’t take an hour. Not impressed with the service this time.

My husband and I ate here for dinner. I had spinach flautas with rice and beans. Excellent taste and presentation. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. The flautas were served with lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream on the side, along with rice and refried beans. It was a large portion, plenty of food. It was not overly spicy, and an excellent choice. We will definitely come back!

Excellent chicken fajitas at lunch. Salsa was some of the best we’ve had as well. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly owner, and great staff. This is a great option between Nicholasville and Lexington. Convenient location as well.

Is the food good? Yes, it’s good, but nothing to write home about. I really don’t see what’s so special about this place or why it’s always packed. I’ve had far better mexican food a mere 30 miles away in Richmond. I have visited this establishment a handful of times, and each time it’s been exactly the same. FAR too many people to get any kind of decent service, and botched party room reservations. Parking also sucks, so be prepared to park on the little street across from the main parking lot. I don’t imagine I’ll ever fancy returning here. I can’t see myself craving mediocre mexican bad enough I would tolerate the substandard service I’ve received THREE times in the past. After asking to speak to the manager(whom I know), the staff brought out someone who clearly WASNOT the manager on two seperate occasions.

This place us pretty awesome. The owner is always super helpful anytime we are there and the customer experience is always wonderful. The food is also great. Go early on weekend night’s as there are always a ton of people there and can get pretty loud. All in all best Mexican food around.

For Mexican Themis restaurant is pretty good probably one of the better ones in town. The service is always fast and you can get in and out quickly if you want to. Let’s face it though a Mexican restaurant is a Mexican restaurant that all offer the same food same quality same everything, which is why I give it four stars, there is nothing unique about it. I do like going for the great service, the manager is a great man and he has a warm greeting and adiós! Also sometimes he brings sample sauces around for you to try ;)

This place is a classic. Always great food and service. Wish I could say that I try lots of different things from the menu but I can’t. However the three things I eat are wonderful. Plus they reheat well because they are large portions I never can eat it all. The fish tank is fun for kids to watch. Who am I kidding? I watch them too. The bar area is separate and the parking is easy.

Second best Mexican restaurant around. I ordered the pork tacos with a tamale and cactus. I loved the pork tacos came with rice as a side. With was different to me. Though it was weird the tamale came with sauce on top but I’ve had places do that. The cactus in the tacos made it so much better! The drinks were a little too strong for my liking. I mean I understand people sometimes want strong drinks but the average person who goes to places will order more than one drink if they can’t taste the liquor. Sadly that was one of two fall backs I had about this place. I didn’t know they had outside seating till we left because know one asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside. I still think this place is pretty awesome and will come back for the food.
