When I get to Shoe Gypsy, I usually head directly to the back to check out the killer sale items. Then I work my way forward based on what I’ve been able to find on sale. One of those rare places my boyfriend likes to shop for himself, and is also willing to go with me. Salesfolks are a certainly a lot cooler than me but they don’t ever make me feel that way, a gift unto itself. I also like that the owner employs local musicians because he(a musician himself) knows that up-and-coming musicians need a paycheck and the occasional pair of shoes. Support local music by buying shoes at a local shop? Yes please!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Oklahoma City, OK
Shoe Gypsy has a selection you’ll have a hard time finding anyplace else in Oklahoma City(or the entire state, really). I picked up my gray Tom’s flats there(they also have the cool Tom’s wrap boots) which have been my go-to pair of shoes for when I’ve needed something casual. Also got a(less comfy) pair of fuzzy Sugar gray flats from their clearance section and have been eyeballing a pair of Frye boots for quite some time now. The owner is an absolute sweetheart and the staff, while a little intimidatingly hipster-ish, have always been extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you leave happy(and are willing to place special orders as well). A nice selection of sunglasses(suprisingly affordably priced) and clothing(on the very pricey side). One star removed for the struggle you go through to find a place to park– because Saturn Grill is close as well as Starbucks, parking can be a trial– but if you’re looking for cute, stylish footwear then Shoe Gypsy is the place to go in the OKC metro area.
