One of the Best Tiramisu desserts I have ever had! Very cute inside.

Nice and friendly, decent food, but nothing special. Had risotto, some rice overcooked while some undercooked. Pizza was nothing to write home about — soggy crust with lousy sauce. Started with Caesar salad, which was very good. If I come back, it’ll be for an entrée salad.

The bread was super hot and fresh. Butter was cold and hard. The calamari appetizer was also fresh and hot and very good. The Caesar salad dressing taste more like ranch dressing and had a little bit too much on it but was also fresh. The minestrone soup was Hardy. Some pizza was fresh the vegetables were fresh but lacked flavor that’s why they got 4 stars. The service was excellent

Came for lunch-ordered chicken parmigiana and it was gross, the chicken had a weird taste to it as well as the sauce. I highly doubt it was made to order.

Awesome place to eat… very comfortable environment. Also the food is home cooked like wich feeds the ambience. A great place for all walks of people

I have gone to this restaurant for many years because they have excellent food. However their waitstaff is very poorly trained. After the waitress had to ask the cook something on two instances before we could even order, we just walked out and never to return. I ordered carry-out and they messed up that order. Excellent food but awful customer service. They have lost my business. And the type of people who go to the restaurant feel entitled to stand outside in the parking spaces like a waiting room and you cannot park your car.

Amici, I have passed by so many times, and never considered stopping in until a friend mentioned it. I came with a group of friends for a girls’ night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. For a Friday night it wasn’t too packed. The menu is pretty standard with some extra specialties thrown in. If I’m reading Italian it’s going to be pasta and I went for the Pasta Paesana, penne with sausage, peas, artichoke hearts in a tomato cream sauce. It was pretty good, and a decent portion(enough to have leftovers). Service wise the food took quite some time to come out, but the waitress was extremely apologetic about it. Décor, it is a little kitschy but cute with the lights. Overall it’s a decent neighborhood place for Italian, but not the best.

We celebrated our father’s birthday and we reserved a private party room with a family style menu. The menu included soup, salad, entrée, desert, caffee or tea for $ 26.95 per adult. We also had 6 children all under 5 and only 3 between 3 and 5 years old. When we made the reservations we were told one price per child, on the receipt we were charced for 5 kids at a different price and then when we called back to question the bill we were given a higher price. We din’t get the salad and the ice cream and for that they will mail us $ 20.00 gift card. We spent almost $ 600.00. We had a good time as a family and the food was good but for the price of $ 26.95 per adult and $ 13.95 per child it was a little much. Make sure you get things in writing before making party reservation and check your bill twice.

I was skeptical about this place, I have driven by this restaurant about 100 times and never gone in until today. We ordered the Zuppa De Pesce and it was a big portion and really good. The bread that they give you for starters was fresh and warm and delicious with the oil on the table This place is worth stopping by to try it out. Glad I stopped in and will become a regular

I used to come to this restaurant as a kid, every special occasion. The food never disappointed UNTIL Christmas eve 2014, my boyfriend, brother and I all got very sick off the food. –we ordered, Chicken vesivo, the ribs, the mussels, and tilapia. The food didn’t even taste good, everyone said their food tasted old. I will NEVER go back! ! My stomach is so messed up. Great Christmas for us! :(i Gave one star, they used to be wonderful! Not anymore! !!

Just had dinner Last night, 7 people. The outdoor patio is pretty nice, bread was very good and service was OK. Appetizer were forgettable., mussels were so tiny you could barely find them, calamari not much better, a couple of us had the Zuppa di pesce, the taste was god but for $ 29.00 you’d expect a lot less calamari rings and and a few more higher end seafood. Zuppa di pesce is not supposed to be over linguine they do it to give you less food but hey still charge you a premium price when it’s mostly frozen calamari rings and tiny little mussels with a few shrimps.

Just had dinner here with the hubby and we were not disappointed! It’s not our first time, but we’ve noticed that sitting in the booths near the bar, the service is MUCH better.(We’ve had some terrible service in the dining room before). However, the food is always great! That is one thing we cannot deny-the food is consistently awesome! Their bread is amazing! Pasta dishes are great! From now on, we will always sit at the booths to enjoy our delicious delicious dinner!

We have been going here every year on my son’s birthday because he loves the Zuppe de Pesce(he’s 14), so we were here again last night. Nothing much has changed over this time, including the cobwebs on the chandeliers. We found the service very slow. It took about 10 minutes to get some wine. The food came and it was pretty good. We also had the Penne Paesana, which I liked. This is a family business. This place is pretty good for Niles, but not in the same league as Tuscany, 15 minutes down the road, and the prices are comparable.

DONOTEATHERE!!! The food isn’t worth what they charge, pasta sauce and salad dressings out of a bottle. They ran out of menus and the place wasn’t even full. Service was awful. They charge for refills on fountain drinks. The place is a joke. Stay away. Far too many superior options in the neighborhood.

I came here for a friend’s birthday recently. We came here last year for her birthday as well. She’s a huge fan of Amici’s. The service is always good every time I’ve been there. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was decent. I ordered the veal Gorgonzola. A good thing was that the gorgonzola wasn’t overpowering. The dish came with rosemary potatoes that were somewhat tasteless. Ill probably see Amici’s again next year for this same friend’s birthday.

Food is mediocre at best and obscenely overpriced. Average $ 20 for baked spaghetti that I could have gotten cheaper(and tastier) somewhere else? I think not. Although the décor is nice, the owners make it clear that the customer’s experience is the last thing on their mind. No refills on a soda that I paid a $ 1.95 for? C’mon, guys. There are much better(and less expensive) options for Italian food, and I highly suggest you seek them out. Amici ISNOT worth it.

I hadn’t been here in years. But it’s a great place to come for the holidays. It’s all decked out for the holidays, warm, festive and inviting. Family type place. Loved the fried calamari, cooked perfectly. My eggplant parmiaggana was ok, not the best ever but good. My husband loved his mussels with a very yummy marinara sauce. The tiramisu was the highlight for me. This is a great place for a group with kids around the holidays.

This place is the definition of «not worth it.» Ended up here one night, as I had driven by a few times and my boyfriend and I thought we’d check it out. Almost $ 70 later, including tip, I had had the worst tiramisu of my life AND the beginnings of a terrible stomachache. The pasta dishes were on par with what you can buy in the frozen foods aisle at Jewel-Osco and the service was friendly, but indifferent. We waited over 20 minutes for bread, which came to us just seconds before our entrees. I urge you to go to the vastly superior Mia Figlia on Devon instead if you are looking for Italian food in this area. I wouldn’t waste my time or money at Amici again.

The like the way the place looks. Tuscany all the way, inside and out. My mom loves the clam appetizer. The servers are always very friendly. The first time we tried it I was expecting too much. The food is just so so. Not bad, just so so. We’ve been here several times, you know, to be fair. My mom likes it. But my final answer is two stars.
