Never again. Their breakfast food was the worst. I cant even explain how hard, and nasty the chocolate chip pancakes were. Your better of going to IHOP.

The food and service was as I expected. No problems. The general manager was very nice and awesome. Some woman passed out literally in my feet on the way out, I had to call 911 and explain to my seven-year-old what happens if you don’t eat properly and the general manager comped our meal. Very nice gesture!

The food and the desserts are always top notch at Bakers Square. My service is also exceptional. Anthony(the waiter) did great job providing outstanding customer service. He knows exactly what to recommend for first time eaters.

And never return and check on us! Terrible service! When we finish take her long time to return ask for the cake!

My friend and I had a late night snack here on 10÷09÷15. I have been going to Baker’s Square for pie and coffee on and off for over 30 years. Place has changed. The food is still delicious. Service was good as well.

Very disappointed from my most recent visits. Terrible service, every table(including ours) had to wait about 15 minutes or until someone said something for the waiter to come up to the table. Some of my fries came out uncooked, and I didn’t realize until after I already had a few. This used to be an awesome restaurant with good food but recently every time my food comes out I’m disappointed. Will not be returning any time soon.

We had the worst experience here on Saturday. Our server was wonderful but clearly the place was falling apart. The manager was on the grill so we never got to talk to him. We watched three couples walk out after sitting for almost ten minutes without any greeting, or beverage order. This place is despicable.

Haven’t had a chance to eat at the restaurant but I always get pies to go! Have a serious addiction to the French silk pie. There is a wide variety of pies, all of which are freshly made and can stay good in the refrigerator at home for a few days at least. I recommend the French Apple cream cheese, FRENCHSILK, and Carmel pecan silk supreme!

My burger was VERY geese, I got onions when I asked them to hold them. We were also charged differently when two people in my party ordered the same thing. I don’t think I will visit Bakers Square again, unless I can’t find anything better. Our meal was better than fast food but not much better

Besides offering breakfast entrees, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, and pot pies, I am a huge fan of their pies! While the Wilmette location is my go-to Bakers Square location, this location is sometimes visited when in the area. My absolute favorite is the Banana Cream, as it has a lovely generous vanilla filling with fresh slices of banana, topped with whipped cream and toasted almond slivers. It is oh-so-yummy and not too sweet, and definitely a yummy treat to have after a meal(or before)! :D If bananas aren’t your thing, they have a nice variety, such as Oreo Cookie Crunch, Key Lime, Blueberry, French Apple Cream Cheese, and Triple Berry. If you find yourself in the Midwest, give Bakers Square a try: D +Banana Cream pie: D

I went hear with the wife for lunch, and they changed up the menu. No more appetizers btw. Our food was sub par. I ordered the Cesar salad. They watered down the dressing so much it was running all over the plate. No croutons(even thought the menu says they add croutons), and my grilled chicken was actually cold. My wife ordered a veggy omlet, it had sausage in it… we told them not to add any meats to it. Just veggies. Our waitress was slow and not attentive and I had to constantly try to flag her down. I won’t be eating here anymore.

PIES!!! I haven’t dined in — in years… but, will ALWAYS stop in to pick up a pie! You can’t go wrong with their French Silk Pie! My absolute favorite! :) Their banana cream pie is super good too! When I do stop in, the staff is always welcoming.

We stopped here from a family meeting, heading west to I-294… Used to like the entire chain, but this visit explaines why the place is empty and the stores are mostly all closed. OK — place is empty on a Monday night at dinner time — and they were OUT of several items… no chicken pot pie, only turkey. No squash soup, only the usual. And the foreign waiter could not understand the difference between a «grilled» flatbread sandwich(panini style) vs a «grilled cheese» done on a flat top grill. Also — could not understand between the menu item listed as Romaine Lettuce salad vs Iceberg Lettuce salad… which one of family can’t eat. So — yeah — it was a mess —

The pie is to die for. I usually go to this Bakers Square or the one in Palatine. I always get the French Silk or the Apple Crumb pie to bring home. I love this place for pie

If you like bland uninspired food, this is your place. When I went last time I had some specialty dish of Cedar Salmon and ordered with mash potatoes. It seemed like they were trying so hard to sauce up the salmon to mask its dryness. I couldn’t finish it. The free pie was good though.

I saw that this restaurant needed a more recent review. We stopped here as we were familiar with the Baker Square chain. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The strawberry crepes were very good and the turkey sandwich was good. The meat was not processed but cut from a turkey breast and the bread was fresh. The chicken tortilla soup was too spicy for me.

Meh says it all. Food is bland. This sounds strange, but there’s too many food options, so that nothing is really good itself. Only reason for 2 stars was that we had a really nice waitress who knew the menu, made suggestions, kept tabs on us, and reminded us it was Free Pie Wednesday.

I had never been to a Bakers Square previous to tonight. My first impression was that I shouldn’t be there because I am under the age of 65 and I had a smile on my face. I feel bad for the staff, the entire cliental was incredibly morose. Meanwhile, I’m getting excited about the breakfast-all-day menu. So the food was great, nothing special, but quite satisfying nonetheless. Portions were pretty reasonable too. The pie was eh. For a place with«pie» in the title, I expected the pie to be better. French Silk was good, but not mind-blowing. Staff was great, attentive, got lots of refills and friendly service.

Did you know that Bakers Square used to be called Poppin’ Fresh Pies? It’s true. My mom always calls it that. It’s kind of funny. Anyway, I love Bakers Square. I was recently at this location for breakfast, though I still ordered my Honey Dijon Chicken Focaccia sandwich, which is the best sandwich ever. I could drink that Dijon sauce straight out of the container! It’s that good! It was pretty empty when we were at this Niles location. We were there early on a Saturday morning, and I think there were two other tables. The service was good. Our server was really friendly and attentive, and all of our food tasted good. It looked like this location had recently undergone a remodel. The wallpaper, with giant fruits and vegetables, looked new, and there was a gas fireplace in the corner of the restaurant. Very cozy! I’ll definitely be back!

So apparently you can go wrong with banana cream. Like when they freeze the pie and serve your slice to you with the banana slices still frozen, ice crystals interspersed throughout the cream. The crust here is like a ready-to-made grocery store crust. Lemon meringue is artificially flavored and reminiscent of Pledge, the whipped cream on pies like pumpkin is nearly solidified, and if you see a fake carrot cake in the display case, are you really going to feel compelled to order it? The only 3 pies I would even think twice about coming here for are french silk, caramel pecan silk supreme, and chocolate peanut butter. And they are mediocre at best. Don’t even put Baker’s Square in the same sentence as Hoosier Mama’s or Bennison’s Bakery pies.
