I have to be extremely peeved and irritated to give bad reviews. This is sadly one of those disappointing businesses. I had wanted the JULY issue of the Fitness magazine that featured Nathan Adrian(hot swimmer) on the cover. Lucky for me this was the only GNC in the area that carried it(it was August and the other places sold out). I called ahead and put one«on reserve». The man on the phone told me that normally they give these magazines out for free with the membership, but it would be okay if I purchased something in the store(I don’t need another membership). I stopped by one evening to pick up my magazine and the employee demonstrated poor customer care. Yes I testify that he was attentive and polite, but the manner in which he handled my purchase was disappointing. When I asked TOBUY the magazine he refused to SELL me a magazine(that they give out FORFREE) because I refused to purchase a membership. He also refused to honor what the other employee had told me on the phone and simply told me that whatever policies the other people had were void and they probably would be fired(like the past employees at the Golf Mill location). He ended up calling his manager and after wasting 15minutes of my time, SOLD me the magazine at a higher price(only a dollar more but on principle) listed on the magazine. I am taking my business to VitaminShoppe where I am treated more fairly.

Just came from this GNC. Compared to other GNC’s this is the best one I’ve been to because of one of the associates there, Nate. He actually knows about the products and is honest about what works and what doesn’t. Nice thing is the guy does actually use the products instead of just saying he does. He is also active on forums learning about what works and whatnot. Usually GNC is ragged on by people on bodybuilding websites, but really you just need to do some research to see what products are bunk and what actually works. I do think GNC is expensive, but they did have a buy one get one 50% off deal which I stacked with my gold card. Much better than shopping online! If you go, just see Nate. Really cool guy.
