On Wednesday night my husband, daughter and I had a much needed dinner out at Homestyle Buffet. We got there around 4:30 and the dinner buffet was fresh, hot and had so many wonderful choices! To me this is where I go when I want a homestyle meal and I do not feel like cooking. It is nothing fancy but we have always had a very good experience when eating here. The hot selections included everything from fried chicken, ham, roasted chicken, fried pork chops, chicken nuggets, fried fish and more. I seriously loose count of how much there was. They also had wonderful sides like mac and cheese, green beans, mixed veggies, fresh rolls, breads and a plethora of desserts. I do not see how anyone could not find something they like to eat here and certainly no one should leave hungry. So why 3 stars? Well, It has gotten a bit pricey. I did not realize they were at almost $ 12 an adult for dinner now and that does not include drinks. We had a buy one get one free coupon and even with it our three meals and 3 drinks were $ 35! Thats a little much. I was ok with $ 10 each when the drinks were included. But 12 plus the $ 2 for drinks seems a bit much. All in all great food. Little pricey.

There are times where some foods srent up to par but thats us just being picky i feel. This is our dining choice out of two other places we go out to eat at. for the price you cant beat it! You will always have something else to eat if one isnt up to your standard. which only happens to me 2⁄10 visits. Thats a good track record in my book lol

No. Just no. Even with a ‘one meal free’ coupon we overpaid. How can you mess up rice? And it’s not that buffet dining is beneath me, I love Golden Corral in Elyria, Ohio, it’s just this place messed up everything. Every bar; dessert bar, salad bar(old veggies and unfresh greens for salad), meat bar, side dish bar. Not worth the calories, people. And I’m generally not a complainer.

Very nice buffet. We were hesitant to go here with the bad reviews but it turned out to be pretty good. Everything seemed clean. Food was the right temp. Staff was friendly. $ 15 per person for dinner. Overall we were happy.

Not so good. There are usually a lot of people here but I can’t figure out why. The food really isn’t that good but you can eat all you want. Usually the place is loud and kids all over the place. I don’t go here anymore.

Went here for lunch today despite the poor ratings this place is getting on Unilocal.I gotta say… I don’t think it deserves all the hate its getting. Is this a Michelin Star restaurant? No. Is this the buffet at the Bellagio? No. If you rate it for what it is… a chain buffet restaurant… its a decent place. The young lady cashier(Morgan) had a cute personality and greeted every customer with a big smile. My waiter, Kyle was pleasant and friendly and attentive. I was pleasantly surprised at the large selection of food they had. Its been several years since I’ve been here, so I didn’t remember. Here are some things I tried that I thought were pretty good… — carved turkey & gravy — baked bbq chicken — baked breaded fish strips — cavatappi mac and cheese — cornbread stuffing — corn — mashed potatoes w/beef gravy — jalapeño mini corn bread — asiago ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce — nachos w/cheese(ok…the cheese sauce wasn’t great) — pepperoni pizza — pecan pie — salted caramel mini bundt cake They had many other selections, but I was quite full from all the stuff I did try. The only thing I didn’t care for was the bourbon chicken. Not because it didn’t taste good(because it did), but because it had become dried out from the heat lamps. I will not hesitate to go back here again. Unlimited lunch buffet + unlimited drink = $ 11.51.

This is a very clean, neat and friendly place. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say that is good. Some food is OK, but for the most part, everything was over cooked, dry and just plain bland. The food was hot, but there is not much to choose from. When compared to other HomeTown Buffets, I find this one small and lacking in many areas. My kids loved the dessert area, which I must agree, was the best of all the food. I would be greatly surprised if they messed up ice cream and sprinkles. As a paying customer, I will not return here.

Both my Son & me thought the food really stunk. The carved prime rib was over cooked, dry, and fatty. The roast beef was dry &BBQ pork was dry & fatty. The mexican food was a grease pot of something. Im really bummed I stopped here. Chicken might be ok, since they had chicken everything. Im not a fan For kickers there was cornbread, and you guessed it, it had peppers in it… How nasty.

We were planning on taking the kids back to Steak N Shake after my oldest was done with baseball practice. We pulled into the lot when my wife said«we should go to Hometown» of which is next store to the Shake. My kids were resistant at first but were easily persuaded. The food was actually hot and had some flavor unlike most buffet joints. We were pleasantly surprised. Typical American buffet food. Not that it deserves above 3 stars but decent nonetheless. The winner of the day were the Coke Icees. For those who remember the Hills Dept. stores from way back when, this is what the drinks reminded me of. They had regular Coke, cherry and blue raspberry. I had the regular and it took me back to when I was a kid shopping with my Mom at Hills. Funny bit to add. While leaving, my wife says«Oh crap, we should have went to Stake N Shake». I say«Why?»…She points to a sign in their window that says«Kids eat free all weekend»…DOH!
