Merle Norman Remembered Image

I have always been a fan of Merle Norman makeup and employees. I have sensitive skin, but have never had a problem with their products. Any time I’ve gone to get my makeup done, I’ve been really happy. My visit to this location this month was no exception! I’ve only been to this location 3 times, yet the employees remembered who I was, where I worked, and where I had moved from. It’s really nice when a store remembers you. It was my birthday, so I wanted to do a makeup lesson for fun and look nice the rest of the day. They were great at emphasizing my natural features and picking colors that look good (aka not clownish). They were not pushy about products at all. (Of course, in the end I did buy some products, but only the ones I knew I would use on a regular basis.) It’s also helpful that they keep your purchase history on file, so if you go in for a refill of a product and forget the name or color, they can look it up. I highly recommend these ladies for their makeup expertise.

Debbie is awesome!!! I started seeing her a year and a half ago for electrolysis. I would pick at my face day and night in hope the stubborn hairs would stop growing. No luck. My face was constantly infected from me touching it. It was embarrassing to go out in public. Luckily a friend told me about her and I started seeing her on a regular basis. She saved my life! My face is 100 percent better! No more prickly, wiry black hairs! She makes the hour go by so fast. It’s like hanging out with your friend. The store is always in tip top shape as well and she decorates beautifully for each holiday. I also use Merle Norman products for my dry skin. The girls at the front are always so helpful and offer free hydrating facials when I have time.

This review is for electrolysis by the owner of this place, Debbie Strickland.
I have had experience with several electrologists. I can confidently say that Debbie is a legend in electrolysis field. She can take off hair which no one else can without hurting like hell and/​or leaving marks on skin. Most electrologists can take out big juicy hair but only Debbie can clean out the whole skin area by taking out ALL the hair including very fine hair. On top of it, she works with the speed of light. I was always pleasantly surprised to have a look at my face after the treatment. How do somebody go from this to that in one hour, and without too much pain.
I had horrible hair problem because of Laser stimulation on my face and neck. I didn’t go electrolysis route for sometime because I was scared that electrolysis will leave marks on my skin. After getting a few other electrologists work on me. Given the amount of hair I had, I was sure that I will be full of poke marks on my face once (if at all) all the hairs on my face will be killed by electrolysis. It hurt like hell too.
When I found Debbie, I came to know that electrolysis does not have to hurt. I have had 4 hours of appointment with Debbie every week in start and I would literally sleep when she worked on me. I never felt a pinch/​shock that I felt with other electrologists. I never felt a prick or insertion. I only felt needle getting warmer just under my skin. She has amazing control. The kind of skills she has, she can easily charge double than she does but she had very reasonable rates. I was a student when she worked at me and I could afford it. My guess is she gave me discount too, because she genuinely cared about my hair problem and took it upon herself to get rid of it.
After having painful experience with others, I told her I don’t want to do upper lips. But she convinced me to try with her. I am so glad she did that.
Thanks to her, she finished my face in 2 years. Its been 5 years since I had my last treatment with her and every day when I look myself in mirror I pray for her long life. I never plucked a hair on my face after that. She is amazing.

I have been using Merle Norman cosmetics forever. Since my local Merle Norman closed, I decided to try this studio. The store is beautiful, lot’s of nice merchandise. But the customer service is very poor. When I entered the store no one was there; I called out he – ll-​lo and a young woman came out from the back. Must have been updating facebook or whatever. I asked her to recommend a nice shade of lipstick, and she said «this is a good shade», but never offered to give me a sample. I asked for a sample, tried it on, she immediately said it looked great and that was it. She didn’t spend the time trying other colors for me. I was hesitant but purchased it anyways, and when I got home my husband said it was clown pink. At my previous store, the owner would try it on my wrist as well as lips, and wait a short time to see how it looked. If it wasn’t just right, she would suggest other colors. The owners here seemed to be more interested in getting your money and getting you out of the store. I could go to the local drug store and buy lipstick for half the price, but I had hoped that the employees of this Merle Norman could take the time and help me find flattering colors. I should add that I had been to the same store once or twice before, and experienced the same attitude, but I thought maybe the service has improved. But alas, it was not to be.

Best Pedicure feet down. Ultra quiet salon modest prices and for an indulgence try the spa pedicure it comes with a paraffin wax bath at the end, its just what those dry aching tootsies need after holiday shopping. Even the standard pedicure is geat here they do all of the standard pedicure stuff plus use an exfoliant from the knee down. Pedicure chair is «pipeless» but doesn’t suck and provides a great massage in itself. Back of the chair features rolling massage and vibration. Try them out you won’t be disappointed (and if you are you are just too damned fussy).

This place is fantastic! I had my hair (super curly) cut and highlighted. Prior my hair was dried out, bad color, and looking drab. After several cuts and touch ups by Moe, it is now in great shape and has bounced back. I took her suggestions on conditioning and care and I am very happy! The studio is beautiful and the Merle Norman makeup and skincare is awesome… won’t use anything else. I also got electrolysis there and Debbie is the BEST! Keirsten also did a makeover on me and I loved it… she is very knowledgeable on what works best with your coloring and great suggestions on skincare too!

Love this place! The salon is nice and clean, product is always up to date and displayed nicely. Debbie knows her stuff, tells you the truth, and gives the best facial!
