Finally a place to go downtown Niles! Formerly the Stein and Vein, the Brass Eye, does not dissappoint. New owners deliver an eclectic atmosphere, and artful cocktails. They just opened so I’ll give the 5th star once they are fully stocked!

What a waste of a liquor license !! Never open seems to be a tax write off or a hobby for the owner

This place is definitely weird. I frequent the knitting shop next door and as I understand it, the guy that runs this place opens it basically whenever he feels like opening it, which is apparently never. I’ve never seen it open either. Shame because it seems like a nice location and good concept.

I’ve gone here twice and both times this bar was closed. Each time was on a weekend night — this last time, a Saturday at about 4:30pm, there were no lights on inside, no hours posted on their door, no phone number, no website — I’m pretty frustrated that my husband and I have driven here twice to check this place out and they’ve been closed. I have no idea if they are even in business anymore. I would recommend that you do not waste your time trying to go here as they don’t seem interested in attracting or keeping any patrons.
