I’ve only been here twice and both times it’s been very busy but we seemed to have been able to get seated right away both times which was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the service is descent and the prices are reasonable. The menu selection is pretty large and it’s great for breakfast but what I recommend is trying the tropical pancakes which are pancakes with a large pineapple slice in the center, macadamia nuts, and coconut. These are super tasty and I’ve never seen anything like them before. Also try the tropical cakes which is their tropical twist on French toast. The tropical cakes are made with coconut, pineapple, and bananas. These are very tasty as well and I can’t decide which I like better because they are both sooo good. You will definitely find a little taste of Florida when you come here.

Went there Saturday about noon, timing just right. Got a table immediately, but a few minutes later all tables were full. Very nice waitress, very attentive throughout our breakfast. We got 2 crab meat eggs Benedict, a special. Can I say spectacular? Just delicious… the eggs tasty and done perfectly. The other entry was a veggie Benedict that had spinach and fried green tomatoes. Excellent my husband said. Iced coffees very good. I highly recommend this restaurant, can’t wait to go back.

Overcharged on our bill here, but got it corrected before we left. The waitress was only a bit snippy about it. Service had been adequate up to that point. Excellent coffee, and our meals were well cooked and hot enough. Flavor was definitely lacking, however. Eggs had no egg flavor, potatoes had no potato flavor, sourdough toast wasn’t tangy, etc. and I must say I was given the tiniest piece of watermelon in my plate that I’ve ever seen — the edible portion being smaller than the size of a nickel! I was actually envious of the generous wedges I saw on the plates of other patrons. But maybe the waitress didn’t like me, I don’t know. I have no idea who adds the watermelon to the plates. My husband’s plate had none at all. Ah, well, a minor disappointment compared to the bland food. Despite this restaurant’s obvious popularity, I can’t honestly give them more than two stars. ** = «I’ve had better,» and I most definitely have.

Good food, friendly attentive service. I had the hash with sunny side up eggs, came out just as I like it! Coffee was strong and the refills prompt. You will leave satisfied and with a smile.

The food is great and so are the prices. I love the fresh squeezed orange juice. I ordered the special scrambled eggs with everything and came out in less than 5 minutes. The service was so kind and some of the best service I’ve had in Florida.

CHECKYOURBILL! Second time my wife & I have been there. Both times we got JAMES and BOTHTIMESTHEBILLWASWRONG. Food is good but I don’t want to go to a place where I feel they’re trying to overcharge me.

Wonderful place for breakfast in all respects. The service is great. The menu is varied and extensive. The food is fantastic. Fair notice: The portions are plentiful, much larger than you might think. Great value as well. Highly recommended. Go and enjoy.

Incredible food, location, and service! Went for the first time for Saturday Brunch with my husband and puppy. He loves going to dog friendly joints in the neighborhood. We actually walked here from our house which was a huge plus. We were instantly greeted by a very sweet server named Chris who was very helpful and attentive throughout our visit. We had their fresh squeezed orange juice that was heaven in a glass and two waters. They even brought Willie a big bowl of ice water and offered a multitude of pup friendly snacks(which we politely declined). I had the special omelet which was basil, tomatoes, baby spinach, and creamy fresh mozzarella with a side of the house made home fries. My husband had the eggs Benedict. This is in fact the best breakfast we’ve had in the Sarasota /Venice area ! Combine the amazing food, large portions, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff — you have a winner. We can’t wait to go back! Even the dog was happy :)

Still 5 stars! Just had the ‘Mama’s Garden’ omelet again and it was scrumptious! I just can’t seem to try anything else because that omelet is soooo good.

Great breakfast spot. Highly recommend the papas platter… A sample of all the good stuff. If they have the hashbrown casserole… Get it!

Great place for Breakfast or Brunch. My wife and I have eaten there a few times on Sunday mornings for breakfast or brunch. Great place to relax and enjoy a nice meal. Prices are reasonable and the food is super. We recommend it to our friends.

Ah-maz-ing! Best restaurant name ever and the sole reason we chose to eat there. We loved this place so much after the first morning of vacation we ate there everyday after that.(Ok it was only three days in a row!) what can I say we like what we like. The service was really great, very attentive and the food came out quick. The prices were very reasonable based on the portion sizes. The credit card machine was down 2 of the days but the servers handled it with ease. Everything was cooked perfectly. The french toast was to die for! I even had grits for the first time… yum! I’d go back to Casey Key just so we can eat here! Get the«papas breakfast»(at least I believe thats what its called) its a sampling of everything delicous for breakfast. But be prepared its a lot of food(in a good way!!)

While staying in the area on vacation, my husband and I were looking for a good breakfast so I took to Unilocal for someplace close with good reviews. We struck gold! I had the tropical French toast — yummy French toast topped with grilled pineapple, fresh sliced bananas, toasted coconut and powdered sugar. Also what tasted like fresh squeezed orange juice. My husband had French toast and sausage links– also very good. The waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

Not the easiest place to find! But worth the search. When I arrived at 11am and only one car was there, it didn’t look good. Reading other reviews, I had an idea to try the tropical cakes. These are pancakes with thin pineapple ring on top and macadamia nuts and toasted coconut mixed inside. The sweetness of pineapple really comes though in these babies. The coconut not so much. The pancakes are almost plate size, so the serving of three of them is probably good for most. I also tried the“homemade“corned beef hash. You can get side for $ 4.95. It’s worth it! The corned beef is small shreads of meat and fried in thin patties. They have fresh squeezed oj but you will pay dearly at $ 3.50 for about 8oz. Good place and they filed up very quickly. So go before lunch and after early crowd.
