I love the original pancake house The signature chocolate chip pancakes Are the best and you get like eight pancakes! If you are gluten free this is the place to go. The hot chocolate is so good the whip cream they make fresh. The original Pancake House is the best ! The 49ers were every good light, thin, delicious and filling! Service was a lil slow and forgot some stuff but it was ok, it was packed and they sat us fast ! Because of the GF selection, my daughter could pick from a ton of stuff she normally cannot have unless I make it ! So that’s a major plus for me

Very expensive place and the food was not worth it to me. But the bacon is to die for! It’s delish. But the pancakes has a weird taste. To the point that my 3 year old didn’t eat them because she didn’t like them. I think it’s the batter that they use. Anyways very over priced. I won’t be back

There is no better breakfast than what you can get at any of the Original Pancake Houses. Bacon is thick, eggs and pancakes super fluffy and their seasoned diced potatoes are really good. There’s usually a 15 – 30 minute wait, but it’s worth it.

Glad we went here today. My boyfriend and I, went to a VERY races place called Amy’s in Riverside, after not being addressed as we stood there for over 3 minutes, we left. We couldn’t decide were to go, so to Unilocal we go. We come across Original Pancake House, and was treated like a paying customer, in the best way. We were greeted, any person that made I contact sloke, unlike Amy’s. Place was crowded, but we were offered the bar seating. We took it and felt like royalty. We should except the service, it just was refreshing, to have excellent customer service! We even bought mugs. I’m very grateful for each person that interact with us. Job well done

Love this place, the food is delicious. Lately, I have noticed the prices going sky high. $ 3.25 for a soda? I won’t frequent this establishment as often as I was because I like something other than water with my meal. Great food, but pricy.

Waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged while a bunch of staff just walked pass me. There was no one else waiting and it seems the hostess had been cut. So a busser sat me. Pancakes are always good, I come here for the gluten free. I have been here dozens of times since moving here and service has always been hit or miss.

The reason why I’m giving this a 3 star is because I fell for some of the people’s pictures post. I went in there thinking they have it in the menu. To my surprise they don’t. So I tried to make the best of it. I ordered the Irish Omelet which consists of corn beef, eggs and lots of cheese. I substituted my pancakes for 3 crêpe shells. Then we also ordered 6 stacker bacon pancake with 3 over medium eggs and a side of biscuits and gravy. I’m disappointed with the biscuits and gravy. A bit bland for my taste. No sausage in it either. Sad… I do however love the fresh squeeze orange juice.

I’ve never liked pancakes, but this place really turned me around. Best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not exaggerating. I had the wheat germ pancakes, the name had me second guessing my choice but these pancakes. Holy cow. Love this place.

As far as the food, it’s good I’ll give them that but the price and the food you get is not right. I paid $ 50+ for 3 of us and only got an order of eggs Benedict w/pancakes,(no other sides because it doesn’t come with anything els) one 49ners,(flap jacks, that’s it no side come with it) and one omelet(again, no sides come with it, just a plate with and omelet). You get much more for you money anywhere else in town.

This review well over due. I have been here multiple times since they’ve opened and never had any issues. I’ve ordered off their special menu and off the regular one as well. I think their coffee is good, service is adequate and the food is above average. The pancakes are good, they have different varieties. Can’t go wrong with a Dutch Baby or the crepes. I am fond of their salami omelette.

Poor service and nasty food. You know you’re in trouble when the coffee is bad. Bitter and a bad aftertaste. We ordered corned beef hash and eggs, pumpkin pancakes At worst, I expected the canned version of corned beef which isn’t bad at all. What we got resembled and smelled like dog food. The pumpkin pancakes had such a nasty bitter aftertaste, we sent them back after a few bites. My husband wanting too give them another chance ordered plain pancakes they were just as bad to be honest They tasted just like the pumpkin pancakes except without the bitter pumpkin pie spice. These were also severly undercooked. Only two bites and we had to leave.

We came in for breakfast. They have daily breakfast specials that were expensive with unappealing pictures and did not include any potatoes or only gave you one egg or no meat. Coffee is nearly three dollars each. If you want specialty syrup, you have to pay$ 1.25 extra. They messed up our order of 2×4 which includes two eggs and four pancakes(no meat) but they only gave us three pancakes and changed our ordered to one of the specials. I think a new menu is needed, so customers can get everything in one meal without having to order sides at a higher price. Service was good. We could tell she was a bit embarrassed when asked about the menu selections. We paid $ 28 for breakfast for two people plus $ 5 tip. We had to ask for ketchup and Tabasco and for refills of our coffee and had to wait for coffee to be brewed. We will not be back anytime soon.

Wow this place is great! We waited about 20 mins for a table which isnt bad especially on a Sunday morning. We ordered the dutch baby, corned beef and hash and a special omelet which i can remember the name. But everything was good. Service was fast and the waitress was extremely helpful. I would love to come back here to try their other items.

At 1st impression when you walk in it is busy but we were waiting to be seated and instead of the girl seating us she seated another woman who just walked in 1st and then came back and once the other gentalman told her something she seated us. We got our food and WOWITLOOKEDAMAZINGANDTASTEDJUSTASGREATEXCEPT my sons pancakes had a hair in it and we told the waitress and she took them and had them make him new ones right away but not once did the manager come and talk to us about it and when we went to pay you would have thought they would have taken his meal off the bill since he had to wait twice for his food and did I mention he was 6. But, no nothing. I would go back but not sure how frequently I would go here since the customer service isn’t that great for the price you pay.

I went for the pancakes! They were pretty good but I like how they don’t overwhelm you with big servings that you feel obligated to finish. The bacon and freshly squeezed OJ was the best. I always get sleepy after eating pancakes but well worth it.

Why 3 stars? For me, it’s a two part question. For the price, I give 2 stars. Considering that their main item is made with flour and water, $ 8-$ 10 dollars is a little bit expensive especially considering nothing comes with it. If you want a side of sausage, that will cost you about $ 5.50. They have made an effort to start offering some specials. They didn’t used to do that. But, their specials only have one egg… I have never in my life seen a special with only one egg. Service wise, our waitress was adequate. I had to ask for a coffee refill once but the other couple of times they came around without asking. She wasn’t overly friendly but she also wasn’t rude and didn’t have a bad attitude… She was fine. For the food, I would give 4 stars. At least, for the Swedish pancakes and sausage patties. The Dutch baby is also good but I prefer the lacy, thin Swedish pancakes. The coffee was ok, it was hot which is always good but if you’re looking for gourmet offerings, go elsewhere. In a nutshell, this is not the weekly place you would go for breakfast on Saturday. It’s just too expensive for that. But, when you get a hankering for the Dutch baby, Apple pancake or Swedish pancakes… This is the place. Once or twice a year is about it for me and I really wish that wasn’t the case but alas, $ 30 for 2 peeps BEFORE tip for breakfast is a bit much. What comprised our $ 30? 2 orders of Swedish pancakes, 2 coffees and a side of sausage(which was 2 patties). I totally recommend trying it if you never have but be ready for the sticker shock.
