Great food and awesome place, on the way to Las Vegas, and everything was very fresh! Kids loved it too

This place is very short of staff. The tables were dirty with used plates on them. No clean tables to sit. One customer had to wipe his own table. They ran out of Chicken Shawrma. The rice was over cooked and mushy. They told one customer they ran out of rice! So yes I am not going back.

Went to pick up 2 sides of shawarma and hummus… It took almost 40 minutes! After all that waiting the meat was dry and the hummus runny :-( They cut the shawarma of the spit and then re-cook/fry it! That’s just crazy! Definitely not going back. Food is overpriced, dry and blend on top of it, the service is unfriendly and slow!

Walked by a week ago and they had a notice to vacate on the door from the sheriff, I’m guessing this place is now CLOSED

Came during normal business hours wanting hummus… They’re closed. It’s 3:35 on a Tuesday. A guy sitting outside even said they’re usually open right now and he’s upset too. Awesome that I wasted my lunch break coming here.

Wow! How things change … I stopped in and two girls were working the usual two guys were no where to be seen. The girls were not very friendly, one had very long hair with no hair net flipping her hair as she prepared food. They were out of several things on the menu. The whole look and feel has changed. Disappointed!

Love the authentic flavors. We are regular customers but always To-go. Highly recommended to call in your order. Because all plates are made to order, it will take a while. Usually no more then 20 min. But if you do wait. it’s worth it. Love the friendly smiles and always very attentive.

YUCK!!! Dried out rice, got the 3 meat kabob The portion that was hamburger was ok, the steak portion was sooooo spicy and dried out, I asked the girl if she had tasted it, she said NO, it was a new brand(they don’t season the meat in house obviously… The chicken was dried out, the rice was dry dry dry… I had nothing on my plate that I liked, the girl asked if I wanted to buy a second plate of food since I didn’t like the fist(why would I make the same mistake twice, I learned young if I burn my finger on a fire, don’t touch the fire again) everything is nasty here… The sushi place next door was packed, this place was empty, I was the only customer there, guess why!!!

Pros: The food looked tasty and the employees were very pleasant. Cons: The place is absolutely filthy, dirty, sticky and hot. It looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned since it opened. Even the white food bowl that my salad was served in was completely filthy on the outside. I tried to find something clean in this place and it was impossible. I kept looking at the«A» rating from the Riverside Health Department, truly wondering how that ever occurred. It also had an empty light fixture bare socket hanging down over one of the dining tables. NEXT, the young woman cooking the food only wore a glove on her right hand. Multiple times, she wiped her nose on the back of her left ungloved hand while cooking.(She was also the cashier.) Unfortunately the left ungloved hand is the hand that she used to assemble and handle food. She is also not a short order cook for she could only cook one meal at a time. It took a little while to get the food and then it was served to our party, one person at a time. Also witnessed a man ask for whatever food of his was ready for he couldn’t wait any longer. The other young woman in the cooking and food prep area with her had very long hair that hung forward over her shoulders. It was not secured back, lifted nor covered to some degree as is required by food handlers. I hardly ever write a review and if I do it is usually for exceptional service. I felt compelled to share this one for I worry about someone getting seriously ill.

Pros: Food is good. Cons: Been here twice. First time it took 25 minutes to get a falafel wrap. The second time my coworker and I were told it would take 10 minutes. 45 minutes later our lunch was ready and we had to take it to go. Bottom Line: Good is good but the service and speed of service is ridiculously terrible. Can’t say I will be back!

The food is amazing the seasonings are right on. I eat there often the chicken shawarma. I would advise anyone looking for a quick take out Mediterranean food to go here.

This place is horrible! I called for delivery at 8:15 and the girl on the phone took my order– twice– and then got my address and confirmed delivery at 8:50. When I first called I asked if it was to late for delivery and she said no. Now at 8:50 I get a call saying its to late to deliver. She didn’t apologize or offer me anything!!! She was beyond rude and didn’t even offer for me to still come and get it. What a waste of time just sitting here waiting!

Because it’s all about the spice, it’s the spice, it’s the spice, no blandness! I love this place. Great food, great taste, hot and fast. I almost always order a thing of hummus when I come here. It always has so much flavor. Don’t plan on kissing anybody after you have the hummus because there is tons of garlic in it. I had the beef kebabs this last time and they were yummy! The spices that they use resemble the Chinese five spice. So, it has quite a bit of savory with an underlying sweet taste. It might be cinnamon or nutmeg-y if I’m not mistaken. This is what traditional Mediterranean food usually taste like. Pretty good offering for this little store in the middle of Norco. it’s a nice departure from the burger and steak fair that is offered everywhere else.

This place used to be good about a year or so when I first discovered it. As the months went by, it went downhill. This has nothing to do with the owner. Met the owner, nice person. This has to do with the people who make the food. The last time I went the food was undercooked and tasted off. It was a woman who made it. Decided to go again today because I love Tabouleh Salad and this place USED to have some of the best Tabouleh around. …not the case today… First off, the girl was beyond rude. When I told her I just wanted to order the small Tabouleh Salad she was nothing but pleasant. As soon as my debit card processed, her possible bipolar attitude did a 160 degrees shift. She randomly got extremely angry and blatantly said loudly, «You are now officially my enemy! I hate you!!! Ugh! I HATE making Tabouleh Salad!!» then there was an awkward silence as I gazed at her confused. I was baffled what I ever did to her. I am the customer. You don’t get mad at the customer for ordering food. And you don’t get mad at the customer, because you hate making Tabouleh Salad. If you don’t like making Tabouleh Salad, then quit your job! After a long awkward silence… She added an obviously sarcastic«just kidding.» She clearly was not kidding. Then when the salad was made, she said in a very rude/pissed tone«good luck on your trek home!» and she very rudely rolled her eyes slowly making sure I noticed. When I tried the Tabouleh Salad, I was repulsed!!! It was EXTREMELYBITTERANDSOUR. She added way too much seasoning and dressing. Clearly this was done in spite. DONOTGOTOTHISRESTAURANT. The employees dispise their job and take it out on the customer! I was really nice to her and did nothing wrong to deserve spite!!! I drove miles away before I discovered how awful this Tabouleh Salad tasted!!! So now I have to throw it away after eating one bite only. That’s like taking a $ 5 bill and throwing it in the trash. This girl needs to be fired!!! (If you want to watch out for her, she is a fat, short, hispanic woman, late 20s, fake attitude, with thick black hair.) Update: So I got a message on here from a guy named Michael, saying I did not have to be rude about her appearance. Exactly where in the parenthesis about her looks was I rude? When I said she was fat? But that is the truth. Am I supposed to lie and say she was skinny? Then you would be looking for a skinny girl. Then he mentioned me being rude about her ethnicity. Ummmm. SHEWASHISPANIC. Am I supposed to lie and say she was Caucasian or African American? No, because then you would be looking for someone completely different. Tell me Michael, where was I rude about giving a description about which employee to look out for? Are you mad, because I am alerting the people of the truth about this restaurant?

I am writing this review as I am sitting here waiting for my food. It’s Friday, and I placed my order at 12:51pm. I was the first to order(no one else was in the store), 3 other people ordered after me. It’s now 1:28pm(over 30 mins) and I’m still waiting for my order. 2⁄3 people who ordered before me received their orders about 2 mins ago(also complaining to me that they wasted half their lunch time just waiting for their order). For a chicken shawarma plate, beef plate, garlic fries as falafel poppers…30+ mins is just too long of a wait! And my bill of $ 36.63 is just too overpriced.(I wanted to order the family meal, but she told me it’s only available M-Th). The lady who took my order apologized, saying that it was just her and her husband working(ok, I get it, but that’s part of running a business, isn’t it?) Needless to say, I will never be coming back here.

Food was awesome! …but 4 out of 5 times i wanted to get food here they were closed during what they have listed as their regular business hours. Call ahead and make sure they’re open. I took a few stars away for the times I wasted my gas. Maybe if I don’t run into this problem anymore I’ll update my review.

This place seems to be going down hill. I’ve been going to Zakys since they first opened and have always enjoyed their food. I was very disappointed with my visit today. We ordered a chicken wrap with fries and beef plate. By the time we got the chicken wrap, the pita was cold and the fries were oily and burnt. The beef plate was ok. meat didnt taste fresh and what comes on the plate is definitely not worth what they are charging. I talked to the gentleman who made our food, he made no effort in making our experience there any more pleasant. I know this place has potential but i just hope it’s worth it next time.

This place is slipping fast. The food used to be delicious and was well cooked. However, recently, the standards have really dropped. The meat is consistently burned; it’s as though they are more interested in watching football on the TV next to them than they are to making food for their customer. I’ve given them a couple more chances to get it right. After consecutive, badly burned chicken and a long hair in the salad, I’m moving on to another place. True Mediterranean Kitchen in Corona is much better.

Came across this place thru a local magazine and decided to try it out for lunch. I ordered the beef shawarma wrap and the meat was really tough and lacked any flavor. Although the staff is really friendly, will not be returning.

I love this place! I eat here at least once a week… I am very health conscious and have a hard time finding restaurants I can eat at that aren’t going to destroy my macros, this place is perfect for anyone who is looking for something healthy and quick. I always get the chicken kabob plate and the chicken is always moist and delicious, they also have awesome hummus. Service is always quick and friendly.
