So I been wanting to try this place and I’m glad I did. The food was great and the macadamia nut pancakes are delicious. Everybody is super friendly and always checking up on you making sure your ok. It kinda feels like your having breakfast at home. I came on a Tuesday morning so it wasn’t busy and I got my food within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend coming here for breakfast. Lunch I haven’t tried but I’m sure it’s great. Good job scramblers !!!

Was not disappointed! Great customer service delicious food and fast service. Got together with my sisters and hung out for a few and was never given any kind of look that it was time to go. They were all so helpful. Totally coming back.

We came during a weekday because the one time we came on a weekend we could not find a seat so we left. During the weekday it is still crowded but you will have a place to sit. So here is the load down… Biscuits and gravy — they were good, the gravy had a good flavor and the biscuits were soft. Spicy chorizo scramble– it was bland. The chorizo was spicy but lacked any flavor. They are not using the same chorizo you would find at a Mexican restaurant. The scramble did have onions and tomatoes but still lacked flavor. I was disappointed in it bc it appeared promising. Home fried potatoes — have a good crunch/crisp to them, however, they are bland. I added salt and pepper which made them better. Captain Mac’Nut French Toast-very good but as I continued to eat them kinda got bored with it. However, I shortly discovered that if you eat them with the strawberries they were amazing AMAZING. After I ate all the strawberries the French toast started to feel like I was eating fried fair food. Don’t get me wrong I like fair food but only for a few bits, not a whole meal. I will definitely order again, but with a side of strawberries and possibly bananas. Hot chocolate — this was yummy and a treat bc it had marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles. I felt like a kid again

Just found this place, the food was AMAZING! I ordered eggs Benedict they were made perfectly & were delicious! I also has the piña colada pancakes also great! The reason I only gave this place 4 stars is for the customer service which in my opinion will make it or break it for me on deciding if I return to any restaurant. The owner was very very nice & welcoming but the cashier was a bit rude & I read reviews before I went in also reading about the cashier but decided to give it a try myself. Well it’s true, I will not return even though the food was delicious, customer service is very important to me to have an overall enjoyable experience

Scramblers Café transports you back to the islands where delicious breakfast and family time go hand in hand. Location is small but the staff has it under control. Upon walking in we were greeted and given a number and a table reserved. On this visit we ordered a buttermilk waffle, chicken fried steak and spam loco moco, of course with fried rice. The Waffle was fluffy and fresh! The gravy on the loco moco was outstanding!!! As for drinks you have the usual fare, From coffee to Hawaiian sun drinks to guava juice. Only thing missing was the ocean breeze My family will be back to enjoy other dishes! This place will be around for awhile Be patient as this place does get busy. But it will be worth the wait

Absolutely in love with the kalua egg Benedict! The biscuits n gravy are sooo yummy I threw my potatoes into the mix because the gravy is soooo good! My sister in law loved her cookies n cream waffle. I had a bite of it and it was really good. They are generous with the Oreos The captain crunch and macadamia nut French toast is a must have if you go. It sounds weird but it is seriously an awesome combination of flavors! This place rocks!!!

Everyone seems to love their experience here, so we gave it a try. Must admit, we came a half hour before they closed and ordered breakfast which might have impacted the food. I had the loco moco. The rice, gravy and egg was good. Not a big fan of the Portuguese sausage, maybe it’s just not my thing though. Overall, I’d order it again, but I did have higher hopes. Bf had a breakfast combo with 2 eggs scrambled, sausage, home fried potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Here’s his breakdown: –Eggs– Really bland. Heavily seasoned myself to make them bearable but would definitely not recommend scrambled eggs here. –Sausage– Good, nothing special –Home Fried Potatoes– Expected greatness based on reviews here, was really disappointed… very bland, had to season them a lot. –Biscuits and Gravy– Finally something lived up to the expectations! Very good, gravy was delicious biscuits were perfect. So, our combined impression is that it’s a hit or miss type of spot. Definitely worth another try and when we do I’ll be sure to update this after sampling some other offerings.

I’d give this place a way better rating if ordering didn’t take so long. They should have more than one person taking orders at the front. They should also have a line for Togo orders. They a Have a lot of staff but they aren’t doing much. Most of them run back and forth just looking confused. Food is good and the staff is nice but they’ve really got to figure it a better ordering system.

This is a small sized café with counter ordering and self served drinks. While we arrived just before the rush, the wait was still pretty long. I would recommend they get those IPads where they can walk up to people and take the orders from those who are waiting in line. I think that would help move things along because the wait we underwent wasn’t nearly as long as the people behind us. Luckily one of the ladies behind the counter not taking orders because they don’t have enough computers, gave us a number and put it at the table we wanted, otherwise we would’ve lost those seats. Complaints over because once the food comes it feels like you’ve entered heaven. The Oreo Cookie Pancakes are literally the BEST I’ve ever had!!! They give you 3 large sized pancakes so next time I’m going to ask for just one. They forgot my side order of bacon and when it came out, they weren’t exactly whole pieces of bacon, I don’t know how else to describe it but the bacon had holes. They were tasty otherwise. My fiancé had the southwest eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it! They have a great variety of options and everything seems to be made with fresh ingredients! We can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Came here for the first time on my birthday(March 25) and I loved it! I thought it was a restaurant type building but when we got there, it was a small place. The cashier was very friendly and even gave me a small banana crêpe for my birthday! I liked this place so much that I went again(March 28) just for the Portuguese sausage loco moco. The food was so yummy that I felt like I was back home on the island.(Guam) The second time getting food from here, we called in our order and the girl working on Sunday was polite. Very satisfied and I would recommend this place!

Banana Macadamia Nut Pancakes are being served here and every bite renders a voyage beyond your tastebuds imagination. The fluffy textured hot cakes are really delicious. I ordered a stack of three and was surprised by their massiveness. I was given the option to have the bananas cooked into the cakes and really was glad to have made that choice. I paired my hot cakes with a spinach, avocado and cheese omelette with a side of tomatoes. Although they serve tons of meat options, I opted out. My overall meal was satisfying but the hot cakes sold me on this spot. It was definitely worth the minor wait. When I arrived there wasn’t much seating inside the modest dining area however they offer a great process for being seated promptly. As I was placing my order, they waited for a table to be free and quickly designated the table for me. The customer service was great. Friendly, fast, attentive and continuous smiles were shown throughout my dining experience. This place is great for breakfast as long as you as patient and willing to experience a semi-fast good restaurant setting. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Delicious! I went and ordered the loco moco Portuguese sausage and added spam in the mix too. Ordered it with fried rice(extra)! So delicious. Very large portion that I knew I was going to have to half it with a friend. It was cooked to perfection! Yummy! Other people were with me and we all had to try each others plates! lol. One had the kalbi bbq plate, and the other had the chicken fried steak! We also shared a biscuit and gravy plate and the captain crunch macadamia French toast! I suggest ordering the captain crunch macadamia French toast and drown it in coconut syrup! *dies* It was pretty busy, but it was easy to grab a seat. You go in line to order, and while in line someone will ask you how many in your party and they put a number at the table you will be sitting in. Simple! Price wise, it was decent. $ 8 for a plate. It was what I was expecting. Everything was decently priced well.

Well apparently I’m not the only local from Hawaii to move to this area. I found this location obviously on Unilocal, and when I went to take a look at the photos, one picture stood out among the many. It was the picture of some sliced sausages that looked all too familiar coming from Hawaii — — Portuguese sausage! Sure enough, that’s exactly what it was, and that’s exactly what I ordered. Frequently eating out, the one thing that’s always been missing to this poor Hawaiian was two scoops of white rice. How wonderfully surprised I was to find at this location has absolutely that with shoyu(soy sauce) plentiful in multiple bottles. I went with the Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice breakfast, and I also added a side order of home fried potatoes crispy, and a Belgian waffle. I over ordered and wasn’t able to make it through everything just shy of three quarters of the Belgian waffle. The eggs were done perfectly as well as the rice and those Portuguese sausages were cooked crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle – absolute heaven. The Belgian waffles and my cohorts pancakes were good for the price. I was shocked at how much came out for just three or four dollars. They were just a little rubbery and could’ve used a tad bit more baking powder and some citrus. I will definitely be back to scramblers café whenever I want a little taste of home. Mahalo again, Mark

FINALLY the time has come for my much anticipated review of Scramblers, but based on the consistently maintained 4 ½ star rating since it’s birth is my review even needed at this point to prove that this place is a true legit culinary contender in the Norco area? Nestled on a hill within a strip mall of various shops and restaurants overlooking the 15 sits this morsel of island goodness. No doubt the overall experience will leave you and the tour group feeling well… Scrambled?!? I will say that the place was super packed and I mean sardine packed as it is a small restaurant, but either come early to plan ahead or get the food to go(which I will most likely do in the future if I’m not feening for the dine in experience). The staff was amazing with how they handled the droves that flocked in making sure there was a healthy rhythm to the madness. I found them to be very polite/inviting and patient with us first timers when it came time to order. The whole assigning of the tables vs. a round robin I thought was actually quite handy as it took the strain off of ordering knowing there was a place to call home afterwards rather than trying to race and save a table. I do eventually want to dabble and give lunch a shot, but for now I dove into the world of their breakfast menu. The menu itself does have quite the variety(omelets, pancakes, and hash OHMY!) so certainly all bases are covered in that regard. I shared some of the wives pancakes, but my prime choice was the loco moco. The pancakes as shown in the pictures are quite bountiful in portion, but surprisingly I did not find them to be heavy as most are so kudos there. It literally had chunks of pineapple cooked into the pancake which although is nothing special I’d say the taste of it being fresh and batter light on the tummy is what knocks it out of the park for me. Plus they do have the coconut syrup which to my knowledge is a rare find beyond Hawaii itself, but lathered on the pancakes gives it an untouchable edge from beginning to end. As for the loco moco itself, I’d have to say it beat out the few that I have encountered over the years to be honest. Up until Scramblers I’d say L&L would’ve had that title, but there is a new sheriff in town! I substituted for fried rice as the co main attraction and Portuguese sausage in lieu of the traditional beef patty which definitely had me feeling like the big Kahuna of the restaurant! The gravy itself was thick and crafted marvelously, but partnered with the egg on top to disburse the yolk out as well leaves me to say one thing: c’mon son! It is a highly recommended dish which I feel you should you press your luck with come breakfast time. All in all, I will see myself making it back here for round #2(and 3 and 4 and… YESANDTHEN) as there is just so much that looked and sounded utterly amazing, but I almost feel I need to go cow crazy and inherit about 5 more stomachs before I do so. I can say Scramblers has the rating for a reason and I seriously hope it is here to stay for quite some time! ALOHA!

I had heard nothing but great things about this restaurant, but I was honestly disappointed. I liked the options on the menu and was really excited to give this place a try. We ordered our food to go and the restaurant wasn’t busy when we went during the middle of the day. I got the hot chocolate which you can order with marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles on top. The hot chocolate was really good and the only thing that I liked. The machaca was over cooked, dry, and flavorless. The same went for the fried potatoes that came with it. Most of the potatoes were burnt and all of them were dry and tasted bland. We also ordered the Cap n Crunch french toast was also overcooked and not terribly appealing. Unfortunately the bacon was also overcooked and brittle, it broke into pieces after taking one bite. I don’t think we’ll be returning. Unlike other reports of unfriendly cashiers, they were really friendly when we went. The manager was also friendly and apologized for our food taking a long time to come out. #82/100

A slice of Hawaii in Horsetown USA… YES! What a surprise, and I thank Unilocal for leading us to this unique find. Scramblers is located in a small and busy strip mall at the intersection of Hamner Avenue and Sixth Street in Norco. As you approach this diamond in beautiful Norco, you will probably notice a line going out of the front door and for good reason. Do not hesitate or be intimated. The line goes quickly, and they actually have a fairly efficient method of seating guests. So stand in line, go over the menu again and again, place your order, and you will have a seat in a few moments. The gourmet Scramblers menu is easy to navigate, but it is difficult to choose. So many things sounded great, so we ordered more than we should have. Let’s get to it. We ordered the Kalua Pork(yes pork) Benedict, the Loco Moco(Hawaiian favorite), Portuguese Sausage, and the Pina Colada Pancakes. It’s been awhile since we have been back to Hawaii, so these entrees were about to fill a significant void. The Kalua Pork Benedict was excellent. The pork was not greasy, the eggs were prepared perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. The side of potatoes were also cooked perfectly. The Loco Moco was excellent. I have had many versions of Loco Moco, and this version topped them all. I had my egg well done on top of a hamburger patty. The Loco Moco sauce was savory and complimented my well done egg. In regards to the Portuguese Sausage, it was the best I have ever had. It was very lean and fried to perfection. Now to the Pina Colada pancakes. They were fluffy with chunks of pineapple. Make sure you generously apply their coconut syrup to the pancakes; the syrup is amazing. When you have a craving for Hawaiian style food or just want something a little different, head to Scramblers for a unique and delicious experience. Your time will be well-spent.

We went here on a saturday. So you get in line and order your food but then they seat you. We got breakfast burritos to go and they were both the best breakfast burritos we’ve had! Definitely coming back and trying the sweet breakfasts. Knocking off 1 star because we ordered our food to go and it took a while to get the food, and there was only 1 register.

I still cannot believe that I waited an hour to eat here, but on a weekend I suppose a place this good is going to be very busy. Based on Unilocal reviews I bookmarked a month prior, and you all can relate I am sure, the«if or when» nature of bookmarking restaurants. Initially I was worried that I wouldn’t find a seat, flying solo and all, but a lady came out and went down the line and assigned me a table number. This worked out great once I made it to the singular register. I don’t know if they can fit a second one in there but it could help. I ordered a side of delicious bacon to augment the house specialty: Kaluha pork benedict with house potatoes. My pics show the perfectly poached eggs and beautifully rendered sauce. The kitchen here rocks! I am already plotting the return visit to try something new. I also enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice. All-in-all, I am delighted that Norco is developing so quickly and with such awesome restaurants like this one! Highly recommended.
