Suddenly Slimmer

Alright, so im borderline 4 and 5 stars for suddenly slimmer. Few things I should mention before i go on with this review: 1) i bought a groupon for $ 69 for one body wrap 2) i’m short — 5ft and 105lbs 3) my goal was to look like i lost 2 – 3 pounds
I made an appointment in advance for a weekday after work (around 4:30−5pm) and when I walked in, everyone was really nice. The girl who wrapped me was really friendly and respectful. She asked me about my problem areas and paid extra attention to the wraps in those particular areas.
After I was completely mummified in mineral soaked ACE bandages, I was told to get on this old-​school exercise machine for some very light exercise during my 60 minutes. Every 15 minutes or so she came by to re-​soak my bandages in minerals.
I have to admit those 60 minutes were the longest of my life. the bandages were incredibly tight and got cold in between the re-​soaks.
The result? I definitely looked like I lost 2 – 3 pounds, which was my goal. I mean, I went in for just ONE wrap — you can’t possibly think there is a quick fix solution to weight loss, do you? Basically, I was preparing for an event the next day, and that is exactly what this is good for. Like if you’re trying to lose a couple pounds to fit in to your wedding dress. or if you’re trying to look more tone and slim for a cruise vacation the next day (like me). The results lasted about 2 – 3 days, but then again, I was on a cruise drinking booze and eating buffet style the next 5 days after the wrap.
The verdict: For a temporary quick fix solution, I would do this again, BUT ONLY WITH a groupon/​discount voucher because it’s expensive for what you get. If i’m desperate (like the day before my wedding or something), then I would go ahead and pay full price.

I had my first appt this past Monday 10÷03÷11. Upon arrival the associate greeted me and gave me some papers to fill out. I started to complete the papers and noticed they were the very same questions that I had already completed online when I booked my appt, so now I’m asking myself why are they having me repeat this process and I was wondering if they even had my initial application and queastionaire. I thought I would be able to request which areas I wanted wrapped, but she wrapped my entire body. I really only wanted certain areas wrap that I felt I wanted slimmer, but I was wrapped from my chin to my toes. I received the slendertone wrap for $ 140 and I was measured before and after my wrap. I was told at the end of my wrap that I lost 13.4 inches, she told me that I would really noticed the difference in 24 to 48 hours, well its been 2 days but I still don’t see them yet, maybe I need a couple more wraps. They do offer packages as well and I did schedule another appt for next month.
Once I was wrapped I did light exercise on a cardio machine and watched about 4 episodes of Sex in the City, you can choose what you want to watch if you are alone. There isn’t much privacy once you are in the main area, she actually had me get off the machine twice to reapply the solution to my wrap, she just raised my garment right there and applied the solution then pulled my garment back down and instructed me to get back on the machine and continue exercising. You are only in a private room when she is appling the wraps to your body. After the session was over (it took about 2 hours) I paid and she offered me some water, now I thought she would give me a bottle of water, BOY was I wrong, she handed me a solo cup (yes a tiny bathroom solo cup!) with water from the sink and it was warm, YUK!!! However, she did also offer me a granola bar and it was a special K bar.
Since I already scheduled my next appt, I may still keep it, but if you need to cancel you must do it 2 days in advance or they will charge your card anyway. I will give it another shot to see if I can actually notice the difference, if I don’t then I won’t be back, I live too far from this place to travel and spent this amount of money for nothing. Also just a note, take an extra pair of undergarments on your appt because your initial pair will get wet under the wraps and drink plenty of water afterwards.
