Sako is a boot-​fitting maestro. I always thought it was the skis that made me a better or worse skier, but now I realize it’s the boots that really count. My feet have never been happier, and I’m skiing as well as I did in my youth (but my husband, also with new Sako-​fitted boots, is looking even better). Sako really takes the time to make sure that boots fit; he’ll persuade you to get the custom footbeds he makes but you’ll be glad you did. He stands behind his products, too — he’ll continue to work with you after the sale to make sure that your feet are comfortable. Not only did he get me into the best boots I’ve ever had, he was able to work with my daughter’s quickly growing feet so that she also has happy feet!

After working with Sako for 4 months on and off, we finally got the boots to fit — for the first time in my 30 years of skiing I finally had gear that did not hurt my feet. Excellent service and follow-​through.

I tried on boots with Sako several months ago but I was not ready to «pull the trigger». I went back with the intension to get the boots this past week-​end. I thought I was a size 24.4 but Sako was adamant that I needed the smaller size. He did not have the smaller size due to late in the season. I was contemplating buying the larger size when Sako slipped away into the back. He came back and told me that he «found my boot». He called around town to find me what I needed rather than making the sale himself. Thank you very much for going above and beyond to get me into what you felt was the right boot. You were right too about the size. My feet did not hurt even in the first two days of skiing new boots.

I have owned at least 12 pair of ski boots in my lifetime and I always had problems with the fit. It was not until I met the master boot fitter, Sako. This great man sold me the best fitting ski boots of my life and my skiing has improved tenfold. Before Sako, my feet would hurt all the time and I felt like I was «swimming» in my boots. With my new boots and custom foot beds (made in house by Sako), I have noticed significant improvement in my control, comfort and performance He has the knowledge and expertise in ski boots that few possess.
