Great coffees in a nook coffee shop. Just off the lobby of Sugar Bowl Lodge. Temple Coffee beans. As important, a well trained barista. Espresso drinks were terrific. Will try a pour-over next. Hey have a few pastries but not great. At least they had some good bars and fruit, and there are other places to eat nearby. This rivals Coffeebar in quality, best in Truckee area. You have to ride the gondola to get it(or ski over from Judah Lodge).

Village Espresso is a small coffee shop located in the Sugar Bowl main lodge. You get here by coming to Sugar Bowl, parking your car, and taking the gondola to the main lodge. Come here to grab specialty coffees– hot chocolate, espressos, macchiatos, and pour-over coffees, and you get your drink to go. You can enjoy your coffee in the main lobby or outside, where there are plenty of opportunities to people watch and look at all the skiers and snowboarders going up the Nob Hill and Disney Express gondolas. Village Espresso gets their coffee beans from Temple Coffee, a Sacramento based award winning sustainable coffee roasting company. My friend enjoyed her hot chocolate, and my pour-over was amazing! We enjoyed our drinks in the main lobby of the Sugar Bowl lodge in front of the fireplace. As a Seattlelite coffee snob, I can tell you this was some damn good coffee! :) Come here for some great specialty coffee with reasonable prices!
