Honestly, this place just satisfies my boba craving but in no way to I seek it out. I would much much rather go to phở 76 if I’m around one. This place is always out of something… if it’s not boba it’s a flavor or even straws, I mean come on. Taste-wise, it’s much much too sweet. I usually get the original milk tea boba, and this feel just like sugar water, you can’t even taste the tea. There are much better boba places around Hampton roads… just don’t

The customer service was extraordinarily awful. I asked for some recommendations and the worker there at the time(male, large and round) told me to look at the menu. I immediately walked away. Never coming back here and I hope everyone does the same.

Okay so no one was at the booth when we approached. Waited five minutes and some lady finally walked up from a table phone in hand. She approaches the register phone in hand staring at said phone. Ordered vanilla milk tea boba. Sister orders taro. We pay first and then they have no taro. She orders mango instead. No mango. She said forget it money back. Lady yells at some guy on a laptop in the food court. He comes and takes another 10 minutes to get money back. The tea was ok. As far as customer service and professionalism… forget it.

Great friendly service and wow… first time I’ve had poppers! Lol Daughter had a banana smoothie with poppers. I had mango with tapioca balls. I’ll have to brush up on my Boba Tea terminology! Good stuff!

Only started going here as a replacement for the now closed«Tini’s Tea»… place has an awkward set up and the staff was nonchalant(guy on the phone texting, girl just barely doing the work). The taro bubble tea did the job for my cravings I guess but the boba was like… punctured and smashed. The available flavors aren’t the most inspiring and there aren’t many options to choose from. Really didn’t enjoy this location.

Pitiful selection. Pitiful presentation. Overall and unappealing place to get frozen yogurt.

«Meh» is correct. This place sucks at customer service and their boba was just«ok.» it was nothing to be excited about. I wanted to try it out and I stood in front of the checkout counter for a good 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. RUDE. I gt a taro boba, that was just them adding a flavored sugar powder on what seems like old tea that’s been sitting for a while. Skip this place and go to Phở 79 for a better boba tea.

I have to get a cup of frozen yougurt while shopping at the mall otherwise my trip at MacAurthur is not complete. The consistency of the yogurt is always on point and the toppings station is pretty clean. The staff here are always so friendly and relatable, every time I get a cup I’m able to strike up a conversation. This is a nice little stand with a convienent location. I definitely recommend it if you happen to be in MacArthur mall.

I haven’t had a ton of boba, but having first tried it in Korea, I always get excited when presented with the option to have it again. I got the Fireworks Blend(Acai, Lychee, & Mango) as a smoothie with boba. It was yummy and I would likely come back another time I’m in the mall. There are a lot of flavor combinations and I’d love to see what a drink was like with the Poppers(Strawberry, Lychee, Mango, or Passion Fruit). The only problem is the time it takes to receive an order once it’s placed. My friend had finished eating her food by the time I got back to the table. The woman behind the counter was working hard and being nice, I just would have been a little happier if served quicker. I can’t even imagine how long it would take to get a drink if the mall was packed. I probably wouldn’t visit. But if you have some time, definitely worth a try!

I give this place NOSTARS. This is nowhere near a Boba Tea! It is straight liquid with ice cubes in it and your drink is still warm. They put very little boba. The area is unkept and employees obviously don’t care about cleaning. Do not waste your time money!

I tried the mango boba here and it was sadly the worst boba I’ve ever had. It didn’t taste like mango, just like sugar and fake flavoring. Love the concept and name though! Cute(but tiny) cups! I do appreciate that they seal the tops here like a real boba place :)

This place is more like 3.5 stars. I frequent this place fairly often, as it often fulfills my boba tea needs whenever I am craving for this sweet drink. It is on the second floor of Macarthur Center right across from the children’s play area and conveniently located near the escalators. They have self-serve frozen yogurt with a small variety of toppings. However, their selection would meet 90% of everyone’s needs(e.g. they have those juice filled poppers and the mochi). I don’t much consider the difference in yogurt offered by other establishments, as I think the yogurt pretty much all taste the same. They also serve boba tea in a variety of flavors and consistencies(e.g. milk tea, smoothie, etc.), and you can mix and match as you choose. They always have a $ 1.99 monthly boba tea special(+$ 0.50 extra for boba), often a mix of fruits or something. The last one that I got was their November Holiday Harvest, which was a mango-watermelon-banana combo. It wasn’t too bad. The boba is just OK, and their boba tea is consistently mildly watered down. I always go here just for a cheap and convenient boba tea fix, as every other place around the area sells boba tea for $ 4.00+. If you’re not going to be too big of a critic about the tea itself and just want to curb those random wants for a boba tea, go for it. I always do.

Honestly, when it comes to boba in the Hampton Roads area — it’s usually a hit or miss, well usually a miss. After being spoiled with milk tea boba in San Diego for the past 4 months. I was going through withdrawal. So, with the advice from my friend, he claimed this place has the«best suckiest boba» compared to the other locations in the area. With that being said, I ended up making a trip to the mall just to fulfill my craving. For $ 4.50, I don’t think I’d ever come back. I mean, the drink was OK. It honestly tasted more like milk and liquid sugar than anything else. Granted there was that milk tea taste, but it was super sweet. I don’t think I’d come back for their milk teas … maybe slushee?

There aren’t too many boba places here in Norfolk, so I was surprised to see one right there in McArthur Center! It looked a little odd, combined with a self-serve froyo, but my girlfriend wanted to give it a try. The man working behind the counter seemed a little overwhelmed and maybe new, but by the time we finally got our milk tea we were pretty happy with it! The boba was fresh and cooked well and the tea wasn’t overly sweet like some others can be. The only problem was that it was definitely overpriced. I guess there’s a premium on mall locations, but it seemed a little strange to call it ‘bobalicious’, then charge extra for the actual boba(total ended up being over $ 4 for one tea). I’d say if you’re in the mall and you’re in the mood for some boba, then it’s worth your money. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here though.

Well, this is like the only boba place in Norfolk and maybe even Virginia Beach. No, I don’t really count Vietnamese restaurants. This place(and this whole mall) is pretty trendy without anything unique. Like, there is nothing in this mall that you can’t find anywhere else. Specifically for Bobalicious, it’s a boba and froyo place – double the trendy factor(boba not really that trendy but I think it is in this context with the froyo). They might as well sell some cupcakes and macarons. I don’t have much to say about this place other than it was not that good and I am spoiled to have had amazing tasting boba drinks from SF and LA. So, my standard for quality boba is high. Most importantly, when was the last time a black guy was making your boba? Like never! That’s probably the only cool thing about this place. Otherwise, it is not good or worth it for anyone who has had good boba in their life. Don’t go out of your way to come here, it’s not worth it. Stop by Vietnamese Restaurant #23842, it’ll be much better.

Decided to stop by and see how the yogurt at this place tasted. It was fairly good; no complaints as yogurt is yogurt. However when I was rung up the scale seemed to be off by 1oz. t yogurt weighted 15.5oz. rung up as 16.5oz. So check and make sure the scale is clean before you put your yogurt cup on it. The again this is in a mall and they do like to jack the prices any way that they can. **Overall good yogurt. Nice that they offer a 10% military discount as most places in the HR area don’t. Just be pay attention to the scale and what is actually rung up.

Okay, so here’s the deal… 1. There was only one guy working the place on a Saturday afternoon. He was moving, but he definitely needed another person working with him. I waited way too long for my drink.(No disrespect to him, however: he was very nice.) 2. The general area was kind of gross. There was a fair amount of boba spilled all over the floor behind the counter. The trashcan was overflowing. 3. I got the taro bubble tea, and it was pretty much flavorless. It looked like taro bubble tea is supposed to look, but it tasted like slightly-sweetened water. I drank it, of course. Any bubble tea is better than no bubble tea. Maybe it was a bad day? Maybe the yogurt is good? I don’t know. But I don’t think I’ll be visiting this place a second time.

This place has everything. Bubble tea, yogurt, fixin’s… well, ok, that’s not everything, but it’s still a darn good place to get a cool treat. I judge a bubble tea shop by how their taro flavor tastes… and this hits the spot. The tapioca pearls are chewy without being gummy, have a hint of a sweet flavor without being flavorless(which is the worst IMO) and they give you just the right amount, as not to overpower the beverage. Also, they have a nice variety of frozen yogurt flavors and mix-ins. The fruit in the mix-in station is fresh, too — no soggy strawberries or decrepit soggy blueberries here! All in all, this is a great addition to MacArthur center — I just wish they’d open up a freestanding location so I wouldn’t have to crawl through the teenager infested mall to get to it.
