To give you guys a little background on how I started coming here: Up until I was 16 my dad cut my hair and I hated it. He would never let my brothers and I go to a barber because he said that he could do it himself for free. Then one day while I was getting my haircut, the power at our house went out, which left me with a half cut head. This provided me with the perfect excuse to finally go to a professional barber, because I was not about to go to Granby High School the next day looking crazy. My very first haircut here was with Mr. Willie the owner. He was very welcoming and friendly and explained to me how his barber shop worked. You fill out a ticket and wait for the next avalible barber(unless you had a preference of barber or you called to make an appointment.) Pretty simple. I was lucky enough to have Mr. Willie cut my hair the first time after randomly walking in; he stays booked so it was a rare opportunity. My looked haircut was so good, and my dad like it so much the rest was history. Fast forward to 7 years later, this is still my favorite place to get my haircut. Mr. Willie actually uses this shop to train barber who may go on to own their own shops, so I’ve had a few throughout the years. Most recently I get my haircut by Big Mike or Xavier, and they are both very good at what they do. All the barbers here are. They’re low key architects. Some other high points of this barber shop are that you’ll find good conversation and politeness, I feel like they actually care what’s going on with me, because every time I come in they ask me to tell a new story about being a teacher. Haha. Moreover, that same hosptiality that Mr. Willie had with me the first time I walked in, is the same hospitality he has with new customer I see walking in. That really makes me appreciate this place and I definately reccommend this barber to anyone looking for a great haircut. PS: You can find a great assoment of men’s hair care products here as well including the hair sponge I bought for $ 10 with gives my hair that cool twisty look.
