Dunkin’ Donuts

This location is consistently out of donuts and I was constantly getting cups that were less and less full. Stopped going here for those two reasons. Shame to see potential lost. Side note, when Odu wins a game you can only get a free beverage if you have a dd perks account which requires you to add (I believe) $ 10 to it. Otherwise, the dd perks program has decent rewards for loyal customers.

Awesome dunking donuts. Staff are super friendly and extremely efficient in the morning rush hour. Recommend DUnks over Starbucks any day.

This is the worst most inconsistent DD ever! Don’t ever go if you have to be somewhere! 20 minutes in the drive-​thru with cars backed out to Hampton. This would not fly in New England.

So. This DD is on my way to work. I usually go here a couple of times a week if I’m not running late. They are typically very fast. Like if there is one car in front of me I can get in and out in under 3 minutes.
Now on to what I like as far as beverages. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the blueberry coffee. I mean it is sooooooooooo good. Their coffee even when I get the NON-​blueberry coffee is always hot and fresh. I like their hot chocolate also. And surprisingly the sweet tea is really good, if you are a fan of SWEET TEA, think down south SWEET, you’ll like it. It’s actually better than Chic-fil-a’s.
Now on to the food. I recently started getting the texas toast, egg, cheese and bacon sandwich (I think the actual name is the Big Toasty) I like this because it has to be fresh toasted when you order which ensures that it wasn’t just sitting around in a warmer. Now, the reason I switched to this sandwich is because the sausage, egg and cheese crossiant that I had been getting — the sausage on it has been tasting OLD the last 3 times. It was piping hot, but tasted as if it had been reheated and reheated and reheated. I know that things are maybe reheated once during the morning rush, but when I come to this DD, it’s at 530 in the morning so why am I being served old sausage when you just opened? I don’t like that ish.
Service — as I stated above, they are very fast 9 times out of 10. The employees seem to be college students and some are nice and some are not so nice and some act like they have a comprehension problem. Eh, that’s to be expected and it’s nothing that you need to get the manager about.
Other things I don’t like: Why at 530 in the morning are you out of bagels, crossiants and certain donuts? Again, I could see it it was mabye around 10 or so, but 530 IN THE MORNING AND YOU’RE OUT OF BREADS AND DONUTS??? This happens often so don’t be alarmed.
All in all it’s an OK DD. I’ve been to worse, like the one on Western Branch Blvd and Battefield Blvd.

The 5 stars are for their coffee, donuts and service. The other food is not so good, but that’s typical for any DD.
This is by far the BEST Dunkin Donuts in South Hampton Roads. I’ve visited several and usually the others have poor tasting coffee (not cleaning their coffee equipment enough) and their donuts are old. Not this place!
I’m sure the only reason this DD is good is because of its location to the ODU campus — they are probably used to faculty coming in and being picky about stuff. I’m glad! Because with picky patrons, one can often get great food and service. lol
Literally the best DD for miles.

I happen to be a bit disappointed with this Dunks as of late. The coffee has been watery and the breakfast sandwiches sub par. The quality used to be much better about a year and a half ago. If the Holland Road Dunks can do it, so can you. Not only that, the intelligence quotient and customer service delivery of their drive thru window employees are shameful. I had to remind the spaced out cashier at the window the one item I had ordered, an iced coffee, which had been sitting next to him for the past five minutes I had been waiting in my car. Maybe he’s the one who should be drinking the coffee.
I do give it three stars because it wasn’t always like this. It has just declined in the last two years. I dream of the glory days.

It’s hit-​or-​miss sometimes, but the drive-​thru always moves quickly and the service is friendly, if a little confused sometimes.
Unless you’re going for one of the sandwiches on texas toast, the value for the food isn’t that great, but the way it tastes is fine. There are better places to grab a brunch-​y food item, but none with a drive-​thru like DD.

Fast friendly service. That’s all I am looking for early in the am and this location provides it!

Still 4 stars but I have noticed that the coffee here is a bit more bitter than other locations and yesterday they charged me 30 cents for a cup of ice water. That was a first. Stock is starting to go down…

One of the nicer DDs I’ve been to. I was craving an iced coffee and needed dinner as well, so I tried the turkey bacon and cheddar sandwich. Iced coffee was great as usual and the sandwich was okay. I used the drive-​thru and received good service, so I’ll definitely visit this DD again.

Clean, Fast and ALWAYS Professional… I’ve been frequenting this Dunkin since it’s opening and have only ever had one issue which was promptly corrected when i addressed it. The Hampton Roads area could use a lot more Dunkin’s modeled after this one Staff and Build. Keep up the great work!

I feel obligated to update my review for two reasons. First, since the first review I have been to a few other DD locations around Hampton Roads and this one is far and away the best one. It is always clean and the staff continues to be friendly and efficient. It’s nice when the staff at a place greets you with a hello and a friendly face.
Second, I have since discovered that I love the chocolate glazed cake doughnut and the chocolate munchkins. My previous review was not complimentary of the doughnuts and I still feel the same way about most of them at DD. It’s just a personal preference more than anything. But, the chocolate glazed is awesome and is my fall back item along with my coffee.
To conclude, this location continues to be my favorite DD location and if your trips to other locations leave you wanting a more complete experience, it might be worth the trip to this one. It’s great.

This is a really clean and nice dunkin. I get all my doughnuts and coffee here. The customer service and staff is REALLY great. Very friendly and welcoming. Best dunkin in hampton roads.

I’m here 4 days/​week for the last year and can say that they consistently have great service and quality coffee and donuts. Seems like their employees care about what they do and a pretty attentive. I like the carmel coffee because it’s not too sweet and you get the carmel taste. Plus, it’s only $ 2 for a large as opposed to a $ 6 Carmel Latte at Starbies with 600 calories and a sugar high.

Dunkin donuts with a drive thru! Too bad this one didn’t have their delicious chocolate muffins. They have limited parking so it gets busy in the morning. They also have croissant sandwiches for lunch.
