Elite Child

I went back to elite child yesterday and showed the owner all the frayed pieces and how the stitching was, I told her I felt this shirt was poorly made and definitely not worth the 34.99, I paid 29.99, she had out another shirt, but like the one I had, it was n the pack an couldn’t b taken out. Therefore I wanted to find something else. Also I told her I had done some research and the shirt had bad reviews on various sites but was selling much cheaper like $ 12. I had trusted her professional opinion when she assured me before that this joey couture shirt was high quality. Sherry the owner got upset when my boyfriend asked could we get cash back (but per posted policy its only exchange or store credit) and asked him y was he talking when he didn’t buy anything, and he wasn’t a customer because he didn’t buy anything and she didn’t want him in the store.
I’m taken back because I can’t understand y she’s so upset. She continues to holler and by now my hands are shaking and I’m on the verge of tears because of her demeanor. She proceeds to call security
Me, my boyfriend and 2 boys walk outside. We decide to call the police. They can’t do anything because its a civil matter.
This store misrepresented their product. And has low integrity. Also does not uphold their posted return policy and is unprofessional.
The next morning when I wake up I’m still bothered by the experience.
I feel it should be illegal for privately owned stores to not uphold their posted policies and feel they can treat people any way they want.
Sadly I may be stuck with the frayed shirt, because In the mayhem I left my receipt on the counter. I paid cash. This was the worse shopping experience of my life. :(
I learned to Do your research before buying from places where u can’t get your money back and shopping at privately owned places:(

Walking into this store is almost like walking into a prince and princesses closet. The Elite Child is definitely high end clothing for the high end child. The dresses are fairy tale like, beautiful puffy masterpieces with ornate embellishments of flowers, beading and ruffles. The tuxedos and suits for boys were absolutely adorable. An orange and cream pinstripe three piece suit, complete with hat, tie and gloves made me smile, and I don’t even have children. For every occasion that you want your child to look tailored, pampered and perfectly detailed; the Elite Child will provide.
But if you shop at the Elite Child, expect to pay elite prices. If you have the extra cash to spend, it’s totally worth it. These clothes are so carefully crafted and of such good quality that your purchase will likely be passed down for generations.
