I came here with an outside prescription because I felt like their eye exams are a bit pricey. It was my first time coming here because I looked at their website and looked around and I saw some frames that I really wanted and learned that most of the time your glasses are usually ready in an hour which was perfect because I have lost my glasses the sae day and relied on contact lenses. When I came in I was greeted. I told the lady I had an outside prescription and wanted to shop for glasses and she helped me right away. It didn’t take me long enough to choose which ones I really wanted. I decided on an MK brand frame for only $ 165 what made it expensive was my lense which was $ 290 but they have a promotional sale going on where if you buy a frame you get 40% discount on lenses so i got a $ 119 discount. The lady told me my glasses would be ready in an hour so I went to shop around the mall for a bit and it was ready in an hour. Even though their prices are a bit expensive I decided if my prescription ever changes I would keep the framand just get the lense replace. I’m not sure about how their eye exams are but seeing the service they have given me, I’m definitely coming back and I definitely recommend this place to anybody!

The people are courteous enough and all, but I am a new patient, and I’ve now been sitting here for 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time on a Monday afternoon. I really don’t care if the service is stellar from here on out — this is unacceptable. I’m just going to get my prescription and get out of here and never come back, and advise others to stay away. There’s no excuse to so poorly manage your appointment commitments

Staff is amazing here!!! Doctors really take their time with you and really know their stuff. Best experience I have ever had at the eye doctor. Highly recommend this location for the amazing staff, their knowledge, and time.

I work in Norfolk and this is my normal optometrist. My appointment was for 3 o’clock. I waited over half an hour for the doctor. They have a job and so do I, that is the whole point of an APPOINTMENT! Very disappointed in the customer service.

I love it here. This location offers one the best selections of frames in the area. They receive new shipment every Friday. So if you arrive early Saturday morning, ask to see if they put out the «new new» frames.
I have been coming here for about 5 years now, and even though I have seen a fair share of different employees, they all are very easy to work with. Some are a little more pleasant than others (meaning forthcoming and eager to help you) while others are there to just «do their job»
Nevertheless, I always find a hot frame and I am confident that 0 – 2 people may choose the same frame. I like to be different so usually I pick a funky frame (dare to be bold and different) and about 95% of the time they are ready for pick up in an hour (arrive before 7:30 pm). The can hold frames for up to 2 days. But it’s best to write the number of the frame down to keep track of it in case when you return they are no longer available. If this is the case, they can order them and have them ready for pick up in about 2 weeks or less. This is still a good service, especially if you have chosen a frame you really really want.
I haven’t visited the doctor (s) here. But I understand it’s a husband and wife team that is really well liked amongst the staff and customers.
I would definitely recommend this store amongst others in the 757 area.
They also offer a store credit card. If you are approved, use the card for your purchase and if the balance is paid off in 6months you will receive no finance charges… awesome!

Very good service… ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses. Special order got received a week earlier than expected. Staff was helpful and friendly. Service here was much better than the Lenscrafters in the Greenbrier mall.

By far the best optometrist I’ve ever encountered! Dr. Lohr’s office is an independent optometry associated with LensCrafters. Dr. Gregory Lohr and his staff are absolutely terrific!
At first I thought that the people at the front desk looked a bit too mean and «unapproachable.» Boy was I wrong. As soon as they started talking, it was all friendly jokes and smiles! They ask you questions about your vision as if they really cared to know all and any of your concerns. They set you up in their one observation room after doing the standard checks at the front room. Seconds later, Dr. Lohr steps up with a smile and a handshake to meet with you. Super quick service. He tries to explain everything he sees in detail and answers all your questions regarding vision. He caught that I had a slight astigmatism (not severe enough to the point that I would have to get a specific contact for), but I am glad he had mentioned it as my old optometrist never even bothered to tell me about it.
Needless to say, I will be coming back here next year for my next check up and continue to recommend them to all my friends.
btw, contacts are a bit pricey, you can probably purchase them cheaper online. Also, the price of the exam is only $ 130 even without insurance.

Everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. They got the first set of contacts wrong, but they made up for it by ordering the correct pair the second time and gave me extra cleaning solution. I like how they give you a trial pair to use for a week to see how it goes in your everyday life, instead of just throwing you out to the wolves. They care about getting it right.

People here are always polite (maybe other companies need to look into their hiring criteria!). Walk in, get your glasses fixed and your nose pad changed. Remember that you only have a 30 min free interval to park before the mall charges you! This location is on the first floor next to Dillards!
