I visited this location after finding out the one on Pleasure House Road was closed to use my gift card. This place is great! The atmosphere is really relaxing and really clean looking. For a standard pedicure you can choose from a wide array of Zoya nail polishes that, from what I saw, were all in good condition.
The foot and leg massage was great and relaxing and the man who took care of me really took his time and was attentive. I would say this is one of the best places I’ve visited in the area and would definitely come back to treat myself!

Lotus is a little pricey but the nail technicians take their time to make sure you’re getting what you want. I love the ambiance of this place. It is very relaxing. Michael, is awesome and extremely knowledgable in terms of massages and acupuncture.

I am losing patience with this place rapidly. The last 2 of 3 nail services have been subpar. I overlooked the clear gel wearing off and chipping after just a couple days since it was the first time it had happened. However, when I mentioned it to T the nail technician he said many clients have complained that particular clear gel polish had worn off and many clients disliked it. I thought that that was odd but as I said before I overlooked it. The next set of nails I got were fantastic so I felt that everything was back to normal. Fast forward… I went in for the next set of nails and I was going on vacation to Mexico the next day. I left the salon and my nails look fabulous! When I got to Mexico the next day, the gel on my right thumb had almost completely peeled off and there was a large chunk of gel polish that had come off my right index fingeras well. I was going to get them completely redone at the resort but I did not feel like spending 3 to 4 hours of my vacation in a nail salon and spend nearly $ 250. I immediately emailed Tina, the owner of Lotus Day Spa on East Little Creek Road where I had my nails done and told her what happened. I have been a regular there since I moved to the Norfolk area approximately 7 months ago. I had one other problem Lotus in 7 months and she resolved it quickly so I had no reason to believe this time would be any different. I received a two-​sentence email with a generic apology telling me that she would let my nail technician know what happened. She did not offer any resolution and it was not a reassuring email. I did not feel that my business is valued at all. I have been calling the salon for 2 days and it goes straight to voicemail I’m pretty sure that my phone number is blocked. I really believe in giving people credit when they do a great job and I believe in informing the public when a business does not perform well. Right now I’m not really sure what to say about Lotus Day Spa. I just wrote Tina an email expressing how I felt and I’m hoping for a good outcome. I must say this is absolutely a first-​world problem. No one is dying or starving but when you pay for a service you should absolutely get good service.
***UPDATE*** Following my bad review and ONLY after I posted a review… I was contacted by Thi or who knows who (since it was a 12 page text) they were more concerned about their reputation than customer service and insisted I take down my bad review. I went in hoping for the best but was only given $ 3 discount. The next day my toe polish peeled since it wasn’t cured properly under UV light so I had to go back again. Ugh. Just ridiculous.

Thinking of getting someone a spa package that’s worth the price? Look no further. I received a gift card here for Christmas from my Dad and it was awesome! I did the intro spa package and it was lovey. Everyone is very welcoming and they even offer complentary wine! They use Zoya nail polish and have over 100 colors. I got shellac on my hands and it lastest three weeks and still didn’t chip! It’s nice going somewhere where they exceed normal
standards and want your nails to last as long as possible and don’t rush you through. Worth the prices, which are comparable to other salons.

This is a really nice little place on East Little Creek. I have been twice and have received friendly service both times. It is clean and has a nice environment. The massage chairs are new and great.

A bit pricey than most. But you can definitely count on their skills and sanitation. Unlike others who keep reusing their tools without sterilizing them.

Great customer service and nice atmosphere! I enjoyed the glass of wine! Word of advice bring your own nail polish. I took my mom to get pedicures and our nail polish started chipping the next day and when I do my own pedicures at home my polish lasts a month. The nail polish they use is pretty poor quality.

I love Tina she’s the best ! Always keeps my nails beautiful I drive 3 hours just to see her !

I am new to the Hampton Roads area. I had the best salon in Pennsylvania and was sure it would take a few try’s to find the quality and care I was accustomed to. Well, I found it at Lotus! Bianca provided an amazing mani and pedi. I can cross off the search for the perfect salon – I found it! Thank you Bianca – you are awesome.

I wouldn’t know how they do on nails because I walked in 2 hours before close and was turned away. I walked in with two ladies who stated that they were signing up for 4 people to be serviced, however only 2 were there. When he asked what I needed, I kindly stated a pedi, mani shellac, and brows. He said «she’s signing up for 4 people so we won’t be able to.» Considering none of the above mentioned had an appointment, only ²⁄₄ people were waiting, and I was going to be spending $ 100+ at their establishment I find this to be extremely rude and poor business.
I have been to their alternate location on Pleasure House road and the staff have been great, but I doubt I will go back to the other location.

I came in for a massage and it was so nice. Tina is the therapist who worked with me today and she was so thoughtful. She cared and noticed that my back needed more work and she really wanted to help. I’ll be back again soon

This is my spot for pedicures. I absolutely love this place! There are so many pedicure options to choose from and if you don’t know what to get the people there can point in you the right direction. This place is definitely worth it, I don’t go anywhere else now. I will say if you get a chance call in advance and make an appointment so you don’t have to wait around. The staff here are great and they truly care about their work.

Amazing manicure! Definitely coming back here again. So glad I used Unilocal to find this place and this is going to be my go to place from now on. Inviting, friendly, calming and great attention to detail! Never had such a perfect French tip manicure. There was no rush to get you out the door they spent their time focusing on you and your nails. Extremely personable and I got a rose because it’s Valentines Day! You can tell they care about their customers.

I’ve been a regular customer for two years now. Although I live on the other side of the water, I pay the toll to come here because it is so worth it. No matter if I make an appointment or walk in, I am treated with utmost professionalism and respect. Even better, I’m pampered and relaxed when I visit. I love the staff and can finally call this salon my home away from home.

Love this place! They did and amazing job with my full set and pedicure. I love that they carry the Zoya nail polish line and the Mood Changing polish as well! I will def be back!

I keep coming back every month. Ti does flawless work and puts up with my OCD when it comes to my nerves. Its a very relaxing atmosphere and he fixed a horrible job from another salon a few months ago.

To be honest my first experience here was just ok. My husband and I had appointments for massages and couples mani/​pedis. Unfortunately my husband didn’t care for his massage. We had to wait a long time for pedicures just to find out they ran out of hot water! My husband was disgusted with the service and we left (with a gift card for pedicures later).
Today I came in to use my gift card. I received an AMAZING hot lava stone pedicure from Eric. He was excellent. The customer service I received today was top notch. I am so pleased. I also received a manicure. Today I decided to try their Shellac polish. It turned out wonderful. Karen did my nails and she was very pleasant and professional. Overall, today’s experience was awesome. I suggest coming during the week when there are not a lot of people.

I was skeptical being a dude. I Went here because my wife recommended it and I have previously had ingrown nail surgery… not pleasant. I guess I never really cut my toenails properly. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They trimmed my nails, massaged my feet (I had run 2 miles earlier and done a bunch of yard work so this felt money!!) and rubbed on a bunch of lotion that I am sure I needed.
Great experience all around and now I am hooked. And oh ya, checked in on Unilocal and got free wine. Why not! Good times.

Bear and I got the lava stone massage pedicures in the couples room. Very cozy; I had Kimberly and he had Vicki. It’s supposed to be a 45 minute pedicure but it ended up being an hour and fifteen minute one (which isn’t bad at all!)
Didn’t have an citrus slices (ran out?) but the experience was still nice. My feet and legs are nice and shiny, the hot stones were hot and the massage was excellent.
I’m pretty particular about my nail salons, I tend to avoid most for fear of infection and paying for bad service. Kim came out with autoclave sealed tools and fresh towels and I knew this was the right place. She’s meticulous, doesn’t talk a lot, and paints well.
Don’t be put off by the dank plaza and area, this salon is a gem.
