Right now it is 7:08 pm Sep.28th2015 my husband and I went to print something on the computers, my husband not realizing he was sitting in the seat that belonged to the computer aid he had apologized and swiftly got up instead of an it’s ok or a smile she ignored my husband and didn’t even make eye contact so rude everything I go there the computer aid is always rude.

Such a nice new clean library! Tiny selection but still a great neighborhood find! My only gripe is the abundance of weirdos hanging around but that seems to be the norm at libraries, doesn’t it? I really don’t get that but oh well. I just keep my sunglasses on until I get inside, ya know? I love their large selection of movies but they need more cookbooks. Otherwise– awesome! Last– I really really REALLY like that their computers are in a separate room and monitored somewhat. I will never use them because I own a few at home BUT it is so nice not to have computers places through out the library where you can see any and everything that a person is looking at. My poor mom is a librarian and you would be amazed with how much porn people look at in a library… in public!!! GROSS. So big props to this library for keeping that crap separate!

So… it’s was literally in the 90s when I last stepped foot in this library. The place since then has been through an entire makeover. I mean, real makeover. In the 90s it was terribly small. Old looking. I think there were hardwood floors. There was one computer that you had to sign up to use. Bathrooms were tight. If it were the same place today I would have suggested coffee at that chain place. Today, I had a business meeting and my colleague suggested we meet there. Since it has been almost 15 years I was curious to see what the place was revamped to. Wow, wow, wow. I even ran into my parents while I was there(they don’t live too far). The place is immaculate. They have a computer lab that was packed(reminded me of being at a college. Everything looked modern and clean. They even had a museum like gallery(what it was for… I didn’t pay attention). We took a seat toward the back of the library facing Granby Street. They had comfortable seats(far from the hardwood seats years ago) and it was quiet enough to engage in business conversation. I didn’t walk around much but I did notice that you can borrow DVDs. Back in the day it was VHS tapes! :-) If you’re in the market of a job they even have a Career Connection kiosk where you can search and apply for jobs. Didn’t know these things exist. I intend to go back just for the fact that I’ll probably run into my parents while there. It’s a good place to go and pull out the laptop and knock out some work with you obviously don’t go to libraries to people watch.
