The food is awesome. The service was excellent. Will go back again. and can’t forget the music

I have been to Palm Garden several times but this was my first time having a birthday celebration. I must say im highly disappointed by the service and the manner in which I was treated. I spoke to a Renee on the phone to book the party she was very pleasant at the time. I indicated I wanted to hold a section for 12 people and advised that I wanted to be near the Dj booth she advised that I would have three tables and ensured me that the section I wanted was available. They only give you a free table for only 4 people anymore than that you have to buy food at 10 per person. When I arrive I only had 2 tables and was not in the section I was promised. I then spoke to someone else about it and Renee and she tried to lie and say she didnt tell me what she promised. They did nothing to make the situation better and we still paid full price for the party. I WILL NEVER BOOK A PARTY THERE AGAIN. I PROBABLY WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I HATE THE WAY THEY HAVE THE TABLES SET UP AND JUST BECAUSE ITS FREE ALL NIGHT DOES NOT REALLY MAKE IT THE PLACE 2 BE

Wow, never heard of Palm Gardens until my lovely co-​worker invited me here for her birthday celebration. I had no idea what to expect so I read the reviews on Unilocal and based solely on that… i didn’t expect much, well I was wrong. When I walked in I said *wow* under my breath in shock and awe! I guess I was expecting it to be a complete sh*t hole but luckily that wasn’t the case. There was a live band playing and a jazz singer singing, the room was full of grown & sexy patrons, the décor was very simple with a touch of elegance the tables were a Lil close together but that didn’t bother me too much (one table was wobbly which did bother me until I had a few drinks it was forgotten about lol: p)
After being seated it took about 10 – 15 minutes for a waitress to come to the table, she was plesant and attentive after that. Good music, The drinks were ok, the food was amazing especially the bread pudding, everyone had a great time! For the price and NO cover. this place is worth a try. yeah I will definitely be back soon. real soon.

Well well well!!! I visited this venue in May 2014 and had a horrible experience. But I decided to give them another chance before I Unilocal’d about them. Granted, they just opened in February 2014. So yes, kinks would be there… heavily present back in May, ok maybe, BUT now in August… ummmm definitely uncalled for. I visited again last night and I thought, ok a solid 6 months yall should be working with something solid now… NOT!!!
I mean… I’ll start with the pros… the DJ and the party people (period). Now I love love to support my people and pump up a new venue, but this one here lacks oso much luster!!!
Oh but ummmm the restroom was spacious and tidy! :) Go restroom!
The same experiences that went left back in May were experienced last night as well.
The oh no’s:
Slow service
Watered down drinks or too strong drinks (the sign of an inexperienced bartender)
Not enough waitstaff
The band… not great, but just «ok»
Tight space with too many tables and chairs… almost uncomfortable even.
Now I’m all for a good time and a good time was had. Once the band fled the scene about 10pm, the DJ started rockin. He played mostly R&B music; hits from today and back in the day. I did hear a few pop songs… go DJ!!! Always love a versatile DJ! The dance floor was empty a few times, but that may have been due to rest needed for the party people.
Again on the drinks: you are better off buying shots and drinking beer than ordering well drinks or cocktails. Save your money!!!
Granted it was no cover charge. On any given day this would be ideal, but I can’t help but to think that they didn’t charge admission is because not many people would come knowing what they have to offer… which is not much.
The place was definitely packed… turned into standing room only by 11pm.
Maybe they need a year to pull it all together but A LOT of kinks are still vividly present.
I did taste the food for Unilocal’s sake… the chicken wings… pretty decent. Fried hard and seasoned well. The french fries… desperately needed salt, pepper, ketchup… anything! They were super throat killers! Please don’t order fries and think you don’t need anything to wash them down with… umph…you will be sorry!!!
They do have fruit trays and what looked like beef empanada’s were probably frozen beef turnovers… not homemade.
If you like dancing and good music with no cover charge… Friday night stop by and stay a while and get your own opinion. Ladies 28 (or 25) and up and Gentlemen 30 and up. Id’s will be checked at the door. Men… collared shirts no sneakers… grown man and grown woman attire is warranted.
