Denny’s

I don’t think this trip even deserves a star. Mitch is honestly the worst server that they have at this place. He never came to Check on the table and the 1 time he did instead of apologizing for it, he goes «oh been kinda busy today» yet he managed to check on every other table in the section multiple time. He forgot part of the order, never brought more drinks, and didn’t see if the food was correct which it wasn’t. Yes, it’s Christmas and I’m sure t sucks to work on Christmas, but he was defiantly a grinch and I would not recommend Denny’s on main to anyone.

I do not expect much from going to Denny’s, and this one is no different. Mediocre food for great prices. This place is a great place for groups because they offer low prices meals and more «expensive» plates. They do not have a high quality of food, but I’ve never had bad service here.
You have to go in with the attitude that this place is cheap and you get a lot of food. If you do this, you’ll be pleased.

Forget the Dennys is Dennys idea. Even for this type of restaurant, this we had a bad experience. It probably took 45 minutes to an hour to get our food. There was one large group there (who were loud which added to the experience), but that shouldn’t have made things take so long. Our food was lukewarm and my wife’s club sandwich came without mayo which if anything most restaurants slather on. To The servers credit, she did check back on us.

Usually Denny’s is great. The food is always good, but today the experience was horrible. It was family weekend in town, so I expected it to be busy. Working in the restaurant industry myself, I know what busy looks like. That being said, we waited for our food for over an hour — ridiculous. The hosts at the front were very sweet and told us that the food was going to take 45 minutes, we agreed to wait. 45 minutes would have been fine if we had actually been able to be greeted. Our server didn’t even greet us or take our drink order for 20 minutes. It took an additional hour and fifteen minutes for the food to come out. While we were waiting, she said «yours is the next order out of the window so just a couple more minutes» that was all fine and great until we saw 3 orders come out of the kitchen before ours. Our waitress was not helpful and instead of taking care of us, she was going around table to table telling everyone her life story. Any other time I would have loved to chat with her, but none of her tables were happy and she wasn’t getting anyone taken care of. She just kept coming back to us with more excuses.

very fresh fruit and coffee and unfussy service. I had to work and I didn’t feel pressured to clear my table after eating. Busy but not crowded and Staff was very attentive.

My family and I (five of us) went here this morning. After 15 minutes of sitting with waiters and staff walking right past us, we started to think that maybe we were invisible. No one offered us a cup of coffee. No one even approached the table. In addition, almost the entire carpeting in the room we were seated in was covered with saltine crumbs and scrambled eggs. It was filthy. The menus were stuck together with maple syrup. We finally got up to leave. We told the manager about our experience and he just shrugged and said, «sorry.» It will be a long time before I ever set foot in a Denny’s Restaurant again.

Good food, reasonable prices, staff was awesome, and the restaurant was clean.

I tried to order the ‘hobbit holes’ menu item, substituting the bacon for chicken sausage and something else for the hashbrowns (i had asked for scrambled egg whites, then changed my mind, but the server/​hostess was already gone and did not come anywhere near my table until the food was done).
The restaurant seemed understaffed. This was confirmed when my server was in the kitchen shouting about how busy she was. The entire restaurant could hear her less than tasteful discussions with the staff in the kitchen.
My food was delivered, and I saw that there were hashbrowns on the plate, with cheese… that was shredded and sitting atop the potatoes. Not melted. A few minutes later the server came back to ask if things were ok and to hand me the check. I said it was fine being that I didn’t want to make a big deal of the error since she was so busy. But the food was SWIMMING IN OIL! I asked for extra napkins to mop it up.
I ordered items from the ‘fit’ menu, but its clearly unhealthy and quite disgusting. I wanted to order dessert, but the bill had been placed on my table. So I felt almost as if my business wasn’t wanted any my server didn’t care about increasing her tip… or really much about customer service. I did anyway, and the red velvet pancake puppies were sooooo good!
However, looking at my bill, I was charged extra for the hashbrowns I didn’t even want.
This restaurant is great for someone who needs oily drunk food. But not for anyone who cares about eating anything remotely healthy or having proper service.
(this is not the only time i’ve heard servers discussing clients or just strait up using foul language from the kitchen at this Denny’s location)

It’s a Denny’s. No better nor worse than any other!
