Front office staff was very nice. Then it went downhill from there. The key card worked, but the door itself was jammed. We had to throw out shoulder into the door to get it opened. Turns out the door was half an inch too short on top, but not to worry, it was replaced on the side as it was too long, which is why a police ram would have been helpful. We were assaulted with the scent of old cigarette smoke and fresh urine. I believe someone mistook the corner of the bed as a toilet, but I’m sure that’s someone else’s story. The room itself was stark. No tissue box, no drawers, a window to the outside which was perpendicular to a window to the inside of the hallway. At least we would know if the motel was being breached before anyone else. The toilet wouldn’t flush completely. I contacted the front office staff who promptly handed me a plunger. Didn’t know I’d have to work there as well as pay to stay there. The bed linens had burn holes in them. The two pillows provided as much support as a sock. I’m hoping the stain on one of the towels was rust and not blood. But the housekeeping staff kept what they had to work with clean. Tube TV, expensive vending machines and that gap at the top of the door provides excellent opportunities to listen in on other guests. It’s a place to put your stuff and lay down but that’s about it. You get what you pay for and its dirt cheap.

The staff was courteous and allowed us to check in a little early for the Special Olympics event! We stayed for 2-nights and the room just a basic room that needed more attention to being cleaned properly.

If there was a negative stars i would rate this hotel that. We stayed here in august 2010. It might have switched hands since then – our review is based on that time period. Our room was downstairs, and we kept noticing crickets coming in continually. We killed about 20 crickets every hour, and finally realized they were coming in from a hole in the bathroom floor. Our room also smelled of dog. We didn’t have a dog, but we noticed that the sheets had dog hair on them and reeked of dog – as if a dog had been sleeping there the night before and the sheets were never changed. Very disgusting! We were awakened at all hours of the night by people upstairs – it sounded like a drug ring was going on up there – very noisy with people knocking on the door at all hours of the night. I would definitely not stay here again!
