A co-worker brought me back a gyros from Super Gyros(I think it was a different location though) a few months ago and it was pretty good. I saw this location when leaving from Meijer one day and decided to buy three orders of gyros with fries for my girls and I. The fries were good and the gyros were pretty good but I went back again a week later and it felt like I was at a different restaurant. The portions were ridiculously small and the meat just didn’t taste that fresh. I grew up in Chicago and am kind of a gyros snob so I am going to be hard on Super Gyros! They have the word«gyros» in the name of the restaurant so their gyros should be REALLY good! It’s not… It’s «good for this area» but they would go out of business if they served that gyros in Chicago! One thing about gyros places is that they usually have the meat on a spit and you can see the heat keeping the meat warm as it rotates around. You can also see the cook cut off the meat and place it on what is usually a homemade pita. Here they went out of their way to enclose the cooking area so you can’t see if the meat is on a spit or if it’s fresh or not. Gyros places usually serve a ton of meat and they can usually be shared or kept for leftovers. Also, the Tzatziki sauce at most places is so fresh that you can taste the cucumber in the sauce. Not here, it tastes like it’s not fresh. Anyone that is ever on the north side of Chicago please try the gyros at Patio Beef so you know what gyros is supposed to taste like! Better yet, the gyros at both Cross Rhodes in Evanston or Dengeo’s in Skokie are amazing. All three are run by Greek families!

The italian beef and sausage combo is large in size. The roastbeef is tender and the italian sausage is slightly spicy. Had the sandwich dipped in the juice or what they call the gravy. Very yummy! For some extra heat add the giardiniera. The cod sandwich was hot and crisp and comes with pickle and onion. The white fish was very delicate tasting which any seafood lover would enjoy. Restaurant was very clean with several small tables to eat and relax at.

The gyro and fries were great. You need to wait a few minutes as they ready your sandwich and prepare fresh fries

Food is always hot and the place is clean. Gyro are good but with to much meat. They have a nice mix of sandwiches which are good to. Price is fair for the area. A gyro, frys and a drink are 6.99. Staff is always happy

I actually come here pretty often. Not only are their gyros flavorful but so are their fish sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and quick.

Good gyros. Cheaper than the Rock and I feel like you get more meat in your gyro than the Rock. The med. salad is good. Good for a quick dinner out.

Super Gyros is one of the better gyro /Mediterranean food options in the area. I find their gyros, baklava, etc more authentic than other places — like the rock. Their gyro meat like most other places is a combination of lamb and beef — the guy behind the counter thought it was more lamb than beef — which is interesting. Many«gyro» places have 80% beef to 20% lamb in their mixture.

very good gyro. .. stands up to any other in town. pretty solid italian beef and combo(not boo boos caliber, but it’s strong). orders sometime take an oddly long time to get turned around. can’t tell why it takes so long. but overall, if you want a gyro, this is one of the better places in town to get one. challenges the rock for the best gyro in town.

A decent gyro at a fair price. No atmosphere, but I didn’t really expect any.

decent gyros… but the owner kind of takes away from the pleasure of eating there. he was so loud on his phone the whole time my family and i were trying to eat there. i didn’t think the gyros were quite as moist and tasty as the first reviewer. i found it kind of salty. the hotdogs were okay. boo boo’s is better. i found them to be a little bit pricey for what they offered.
