Staff asked me how I was doing several times throughout my brief stop. I felt comfortable and they had the shoe shine kit(emergency small kit for travel) that I needed to get a passing grade on my shoes.

The store itself is fine, my biggest complaint is with the constant problems checking out. Somehow sales prices never seem to ring up correctly. Moral of the story… do their job and understand their pricing and sales better than them or you will regularly pay to much.

Incredibly disappointed with this Target! So many things wrong here that I don’t even know where to start.

**Thoughts whenever I encounter a Target that has that staggered double check-out lane set-up** «Y U DODISTOME!!!» Actual photo: Fact: Any Target that has those stupid staggered double check-out lanes is *at best* 3-stars. It’s maddening on so many levels. A. You can’t see how many lanes are open. B. You can’t find which lane is the shortest or longest. C. You can hardly, if ever, find a way to push through to even get to the further row of registers. D. If you are lucky enough to not have a cart and be able to maneuver your way to that second row of registers you’ll get mad stink eye from everyone else who thinks you’re cheating the the system and cutting line, even though there can be no ‘system’ when there’s chaotic staggered lanes. E. It’s basically the Target version of cattle-herding and I’m one confusing check-out experience away from putting Target’s with these stupid lanes on my business black-list. Beyond that awfulness, this Target seemed A-Ok. I was even a bit jealous of their clothing section because it being so close to a state college, they had sooo many options and so many smaller sizes that the Targets out by me seem to be boycotting. This location is stocked to the max on merchandise… except for the stuff I had an instant coupon for, of course. All that ish was sold out. The PJ and undergarment section(which we used as a shortcut to avoid the mother-daughter shopping teams in the main aisles) was in quite a bit of disarray but they did seem to have several staff member in that area talking about personal matters, so maybe their next order of business was to get on cleaning it all up. I’ll have to assume. I don’t know if it’s exactly fair to speak about the clientele at certain locations, but I’ll just say that this store is no place for kids after 8pm on a Friday. Every aisles we turned down had some punk-ass teens or foul-mouthed adult swearing up a storm using their outdoor voices. I’m not a person who’s offended by much, but it does catch me off-guard to hear F-bombs and various forms of the word p*ssy loudly thrown around while I shop for marked-down Easter candy. There’s a time and a place for that sh*t, and the aisle that also stocks Triscuits and cup-holder chewing gum packs is not one of them.

They can be rude at times and its ok I think the prices are a bit much at times and their sale seems like its not far from the actual price. I don’t like it at all but I like the store Gordmans everything is beautiful and affordable. Plus I think that target was messing with peoples credit card information last 2013.

I LOVE the Target brand. This is an OK Target. and the only one in town so they definitely have my business. I am used to a larger target. The check-outs can be hit or miss but their customer service would make up for anything.

I am new to Bloomington/Normal, came from Eastern Iowa. This Target is small with the poorest selection of items I have ever seen in a Target. Makes me homesick, I will have to find an alternative shopping place here.

Meh, an OK Target. After many Bloomington reviews, it seems as though their retail district is only OK. Almost every single pair of shoes over size 7 in the women’s section was gone. Annoying. Almost every single pair of tights was sold out of that section, as well. I’m not sure if it was just a bad timing or a crappy stocking system, but it really sucked. Overall, the store itself was very nicely maintained and the staff was friendly. Even though there were a bunch of empty shelves, it was just like every other Target I’ve ever been to.

A decent Target, and one I’d occasionally hit up back when I used to go to Illinois State. Wasn’t the best Target in the world, and it just seemed to me like any other Target I’d been to in the country. Not to mention, I preferred going to the nearby Wal-Mart Supercenter or Meijer over this place. That aside, it’s a convenient Target if you’re taking one of the B-N public transit buses(as several of their bus routes connect right in front of the store), and you do have at least a few other decent shops and restaurants nearby, such as Von Maur, Hobby Lobby, Logan’s Roadhouse, and Destihl Restaurant and Brew Works.
