The nicest store in town. Appreciate the free gift wraps and free shipping on gifts. Good sales too. Out of everything in town this is the nicest.

The store has nicer items that I have had difficulty finding elsewhere.
My service experience each of the two times was that the sales associates were very polite. On this trip, I was carrying my sleeping daughter. The associate came up to me and asked me if I needed any help. I asked for belts and she led the way over to the belts asking me what kind of styles I was looking for, color and size. She then went around the rack and pulled individual belts off the rack to ask me what I liked. This time I bought an Allen Edmonds belt for 2 dollars less than the lowest Amazon price. The belt was still $ 105.90, but it was hand made in the USA with real leather and quality stitching. Some things are worth buying quality as they will last longer saving you from buying it over and over again. Regarding the selection, it was decent but not impressive. Although, this is compared to other places that sell a lot of low quality options, and considering this, the selection was fairly good.

Don’t let the piano player and pretentious name scare you off. Employees here are extremely nice and helpful. Selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories are about the best that you will find here in Bloomington IL. Sale prices are good, regular prices may be slightly high but for the most part you will see why with the quality and wearability. If I could only go in and replace my entire wardrobe :). That would be fantastic.

I had a horrible experience in the shoe department. My husband and I along with my 3 month old son waited over 20 minutes to be helped. The sales associates were chatting with another customer for this time and did not even acknowledge me while I waited. I was fully prepared to buy a pair of boots for a trip I was leaving on the next day but ended up walking out due to the fact they never helped me or told me they would be right with me. This was truly horrible customer service and I will go back to making my purchases online from Nordstrom, it least I’m guaranteed to get what I am wanting without being rudely ignored.

This is a top notch department store! I left my shoes at home while in town to attend a wedding and walked in not knowing what to expect. A shoe department full of many many wonderful choices! I had to hold myself back, knowing my suitcase space was limited. Ended up with a perfect pair for me and a fabulous new pair for my daughter. I never buy my kids shoes on a whim, esp not $ 50 shoes but really I just couldn’t resist.
Really nice salespeople too.

I grew up shopping at Von Maur. My momma would always take us here for school clothes. Everything washes up awesome and you get what you pay for which is quality. They are super friendly and help you out with anything. You can get jean alterations there. Great selection of shoes and if they do not have your size they will order them in or ship them to your house for free. Buying a gift for that special someone… go to their customer service they gift wrap for free.

Went yesterday for my first ever visit. I think I’m going to like this place. Although my only purchase was a smaller item, I liked just about everything I saw while browsing. One thing is it seems like the girls working there are cute while the guys are… a bit schlubby. We’ll see. It was the female employee who waited on me. I didn’t deal with the guys.

One of the best places in B-​N to get nicer clothes or gifts. They are always super helpful, and offer a lot of nice free/​inexpensive services including shipping, gift wrapping, and alterations. The inventory isn’t very big, but they will look for items at other stores or suggest other places to look if you are looking for something in particular.

Love the free shipping and gift wrap options. The service is great too. Can’t go wrong shopping at Von Maur.
