For take out, hole in the wall Chinese food, this grub is bomb! I have been gettign take out here regularly since I moved to the east side in 2012. The prices are cheap and you get tons of food. 2 people can share one combo meal – just be sure you order an extra egg roll because the shrimp egg rolls are delicious and you don’t wanna be fighting over one shrimp egg roll! Oh! You gotta ask for shrimp. Otherwise they include pork. They have THEBEST crab rangoon in the entire OKC metro. They are delicious chunks of filo/egg roll dough filled with cream cheese and krab(yep with a k!) and who knows what else. So YUM! Their egg drop soup is simple and delicious – just how I like it. No weird vegetables in it. As for other reviewers saying the owner/counter person is not friendly – I beg to differ. She is not«Oklahoma» in your face friendly. She is from a different country and culture. But she is certainly kind and friendly. Go get some!

I hardly ever write reviews, but after reading some of the negative ones, I felt like I needed to say something. We have ordered take-out from here for the past 2 to 3 years, at least 2 times a month. I have called in orders, my husband has called in orders and my daughter has, too. We have all talked with tbe lady at the front who answers the phone and we have had no problems. She always seems courteous. In fact I can understand her alot better than most of the people I talk to at 800-customer service #s that speak English as a second language. When you go & pick up your order, you will see that there are usually 2 people there, and when she’s not answering the phone, she is running the register and helping cook and package food. That may be why some people think that she is being short with them. She’s busy! Our orders have always been correct and the food consistent. For the price, you get generous portions. And the food is good. It satisfies the cravings we get for Chinese food.

I’ve tired most Chinese restaurants in Norman, and this is by far my favorite. It’s one of the few who uses all white meat chicken. Other meats are also much better quality than some of the other places around town. The staff can be problematic, which seems to be where most the bad reviews come from. My husband flat out will not deal with the woman who owns it and makes me call/go in. They have a pretty healthy takeout business, and I think she’s just busy, and she doesn’t speak English to well. I’d suggest going in person the first time, getting a menu, deciding what you want, look at the pictures in the store, and then place your order. If you have questions, just be patient with her and you’ll get through them eventually. Most the time I hear her get frustrated with people, it’s when they don’t know what they want, and waste a lot of time looking at the menu when they are mid-order, which in turn wastes her time when she could be cooking. A few customers have complained to me when I go in to get my food which was obviously placed by phone, they tired to order over the phone, and she told them she doesn’t take phone orders. My guess is there was a communication problem and she got frustrated and asked them to come in person. Now that we know what we like, and know what to order, we place orders over the phone with no problem. When I want to try something new and have questions though, I just have to go in and have the conversation face to face. It’s just easier that way. She really is happy to help and is not as mean as people think she is. If think if you are respectful of her time and that she’s running every aspect of the restaurant, you’ll have a better experience. The food is fantastic! Very large portions, not very greasy, and not overly salted like most places. Flavors are developed, complex, and bold. Veggies are fresh and crisp. It’s not the best Chinese out there, but it’s definitely the best in Norman that I’ve found. The General Tso’s Chicken is my favorite. Hubby likes the Mongolian Beef and egg rolls. The house fried rice is great. The Egg drop soup is also quite good. The Sweet & Sour chicken and pork is good, and not dripping in grease, and the sauce is not sickeningly sweet and comes on the side. Most entrees come with white rice. It’s a lot of food! One entrée can easily be split between two people. Hubby and I usually get two entrees, house fried rice, and an egg roll for him, and we always stuff ourselves and have left overs. Be patient with your order, and give this place a try. It’s worth it!

It seems Norman doesn’t have any actual Chinese restaurants, but more take out places. We’ve had this place twice and it’s really good. The staff was friendly, they don’t speak much English, but were very kind the whole time we were there. Their lunch specials are $ 4.95 and you get a crap ton of food.

Worst costumer service, the lady is very rude. She understands me just as much as I understand her, but that’s not the problem. I called in an order and she was rushing me off the phone, and had an attitude when I arrived. The food is good, but hate dealing with the lady working the front. I will never go here again.

The price is good and so is the food. It is family owned and operated. Also, this restaurant is victim to racist reviews. So ignore the naysayers.

I’m pretty sure this is family owned and operated and they take on a lot of business so it can be slow at time but they work very hard. The food never disappoints, though, and this has been my friends and my go-to Chinese restaurant for over a year now.

I think they might be sorta of rude because they are selling Americanized Chinese food. I would be unhappy selling American food the way the locals want it

I feel like I have to write this review after reading all of the bad reviews. The food is actually quite good, and the people are very nice. I think they do not speak great English, which is probably what some people take as rude. However, if you will take the time to speak with them and be kind to them, they are wonderful to you also. They have a darling daughter that often helps in the checkout process and she is very sweet. We order from here a few times a month and it is a quick, easy option and good food for fast food Chinese. Some of our favorite items are the steamed pork dumplings, sweet-and-sour chicken, and egg drop soup. if you’re reading this review, do not hesitate to give them a try!

Terrible. I ordered the beef and broccoli, and the quality of the meat was bad enough that I felt sick, and since then I will never return.

I have found the service to be pretty lacking at this location… The food is mediocre, nothing special, so I am not willing to deal with their attitude… The food would be best described as mostly greasy — typical«shopping strip Chinese“menu options. Oddly enough, the employees park directly in front of the restaurant. So when you go to pick up your order, you have to park multiple spots away. I know that isn’t a big deal, but it just goes along with the general attitude of the place…

The food here is good and cheap which in most circumstances makes it 5 stars. That being said the lady who works here is the worst. She is rude and not helpful and acts like customers are an annoyance. Also when you call in an order to pick up they will usual quote you one time and then when you get there you will ATLEAST wait an additional 45 minutes on top of that. We have waited for an hour and a half on top of our 45 minute quote before. It has gotten to the point where we will not go there anymore. The good price no longer is good enough to make us return.

Really terrible service!!! I suggest Chinese Express on 12thAVE. In front of Walmart, much better than here.

My favorite Chinese take-out in town. Chicken w/garlic sauce, Beef w/broccoli, and cashew chicken are some of our favorites. We’ll also get a chicken fried rice for a great leftover stir-fry later in the week. Nice, lean cuts of meat and fresh vegetables. Manager is a little impersonal but once you get to know her you understand she is just working hard and trying to stay on top of orders.

This is a solid cheap Chinese take out place. Definitely not the best there ever was, but one of the best in Norman, and certainly the best on the southeast side of town. I will warn you they take forever and the staff often has an attitude. I suggest calling ahead and tipping at least $ 1. The best value items are the combos. They come with the meat, rice or noodles, and an egg roll for about $ 7. The Egg Fu Yung is good too.

This place is pretty darn good. Sliiiightly more expensive than Happy Family at 12th and Alameda(like 50 cents more for the dinner combo), but the food quality is better. Egg roll was a bit plumper and more delicious than I was expecting at a place like this. Entrée, rice, egg roll, and drink for under 7 bucks… that’s a winner in my book.

Great chinese food and great prices. I went when it was really busy but still didn’t have to wait too long. They have awesome lunch specials which go from 11 – 3 every day. They’ve got quite a few spicy dishes which is what I was looking for. They have a small dine in area thats about 6 tables. The only bevarages they have are canned soda. I got my order to go but you can call in ahead of time or get it delivered as well.
