Probably the best sushi I’ve had south of downtown OKC. We got the mussels, Full Moon, Adair, and Meek Monster. I highly recommend the Meek Monster if you like your sushi cooked. The Adair was great with yellowtail tuna. All were very fresh and made very quick. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer but they came after the rolls because they take a little longer to prepare. I probably won’t do an appetizer next time. They give you edamame to start with which is a total bonus. The service was excellent. Devin was our server and was very personable and recommended a majority of the rolls to us. I’ll definitely be back very soon.

So I’ve been around the block when it comes to sushi and let me tell there is some bad sushi out there, but this place is the real deal! The staff is always very friendly and attentive, the place is kind of a cool artsy place, and the sushi is incredible! I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants some great sushi!

This place is amazing. Unique rolls, good service, and anything with cherry death sauce is a must try.

It’s hard to gather the words to describe how amazing full moon tastes. The sushi is impeccable. I save full moon for special occasions because it is a by pricey. However, Full Moon is the BEST sushi in the state. I love the Geisha Roll. Lobster, lobster, and more lobster! The squid billy roll is so good that I could just order two for my meal. But I don’t. Because everything else is so good that I couldn’t give it up. Watch out for the cherry death sauce! It will get you. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and will continue to come once or twice a year for the best sushi experience.

OK, something weird happened. This place turned me into a sushi fan! :-o I’ve always liked nigiri, and their salmon nigiri is really fresh and plentiful. With $ 2 salmon nigiri for their happy hour between 3 and 6pm every day, I got hooked. I learned you can get rolls made with something other than seaweed(soy paper, +$ 1/roll), so I started trying different rolls here and there. Soy paper changes sushi for me. It got rid of the texture and taste that kept me from enjoying rolls. Well, crap… I just got a new expensive hobby. I’m now a full blown sushi fan who can’t get enough, dreams about the lion roll in my sleep, and craves it on the regular(2am, 9am, 3pm, 6pm… it’s always time for sushi, right!?). Seriously, what did they do to me? I can’t get enough. Hubby is happy as he now has a new partner in crime to rack up a giant bill for dinner. Now that I’ve explored their sushi rolls more, I’m upping my rating to 5. They have some really awesome creations, with yummy sauces that are fantastic. Like little parties in my mouth! Their chefs are super flexible and make substitutions and omissions as requested. I’ve been many times now, and I’ve never had off-tasting fish. It’s always super fresh, every single time I’ve gone. If you are like me and get soy paper, be patient, as it takes longer because it’s harder to work with. My previous review on the non-sushi items, atmosphere, and staff still stand. But because the sushi is so fantastic, the somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere is cast to the side. I don’t care anymore. I just want my sushi!

Best crab cakes ever. My mom and I come about once a month and it’s always awesome. The geisha is my favorite roll. It’s always very clean and doesn’t smell like fish inside which is hard to do!

My favorite sushi in town. Fantastic waitstaff. I have loved every roll I’ve tried here, but my favorites are the Seared Tuna Surprise and Shrimpalicious. The cherry death sauce is no joke and it’s delicious. Great place to stop for lunch and I regularly meet one of my friends there during the week. Fabulous service and delicious food.

We were in town for a conference and found this place. I was in San Francisco over the summer and had amazing sushi there. The sushi here was as good and the service was amazing! We were disappointed they didn’t open until 4 on Sunday because we loved it so much. Cherry death sauce is the BEST! If I get back to Norman, I will definitely eat here again.

From word of mouth I’ve heard really great things about Full Moon Sushi, and they were right for the most part. I had their calamari appetizer which was a great start to my meal(I loved everything about it — the texture, the sauce it came with, good size). From reading other reviews I decided to try the meek monster, which did not disappoint. I would probably get this almost every time. I also had the squidbilly which was decent but nothing too special. The staff was very attentive and provided great service, something I haven’t seen a lot of in Norman lately. The ambiance is a little different from your typical sushi restaurant, but overall casual and not bad. Full Moon is not my absolute favorite sushi place, but it’s probably the best sushi bar in Norman, so you’ll definitely find me there from time to time.

Wow! Agree with best Sushi in the Metro. I frequent Sushi Neko and Tokyo in OKC, but sushi here today better, hands down. The Sushi chef sent out some Hawaiian tuna and Tasmanian salmon Nigri that was some of the best/freshest fish I have had in the metro. Excellent food all around.

Full Moon became our favorite sushi restaurant, a couple years ago. And now it’s the ONLY place we go to for sushi! I love that they have their own rolls, and not just the regular ones that other places have. It’s ALWAYS delicious and the staff ROCKS!

The food is fantastic and the service is pretty darn decent. The sushi is artfully prepared and always tastes very good. I love the specials, though I wish they would post them earlier in the day and more consistently. These guys have excellent knife skills and the fish is well-presented. The price is almost high, except there is no competition in town, really, so they can charge as they’d like. They have recently added a happy hour special that is pretty darn decent.

I eat here about every other week. I’ve tried several different things and they are all great. The rolls are flavorful and stay together. The food comes out in a timely manner and the wait staff is great. This is my favorite sushi place in Norman!

This is the best place for sushi, I can’t find anyplace that compares. Consistently fresh, delicious rolls. Tonight they had fresh Hawaiian fish so we ordered sashimi as well as the special roll. I have a favorite roll here but have never tried a special I didn’t like. Full Moon never disappoints.

I liked eating here fairly regularly when I was at OU. The sushi here is solid, and some of the best you’re going to find in the OKC area(which is lacking). However, I like to order the scallops and the crab cakes. Every time. I just really enjoy them, always. The service has always been reliably good. The servers are polite and stay on top of their game(which is a quality that is seriously deficient in Norman eateries on the whole). I want to remark on the ambiance, since a couple reviewers expressed negativity towards it. Look, a lot of sushi joints look and feel exactly the same, everywhere you go. It gets to be cookie cutter. Full Moon is doing their own thing, and I respect that. They’re not trying to be something they’re not. I like it. It feels authentic.

We had a fantastic experience at Full Moon Sushi. We made a reservation Friday before Valentine’s, as our Valentine’s date. It was the night of Second Friday Art Walk and Beau Jennings CD release at The Opolis(which we also attended). Nonetheless, we had a full night planned, and Full Sushi was our much anticipated dinner. They held our reservation for us, even though we were running a few minutes late in I-35 traffic. I had called to let them know, but very sweet of them to hold our table, because the restaurant was packed with a wait. Our waiter was awesome and attentive, our drinks, edamame and sushi all came out on good time. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Everything was so fresh, we were super impressed. I’ve seen that there have been some poor reviews, and maybe this place is hit or miss. We definitely aren’t sushi rookies, and know good sushi when we see it. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our meal, and service, loved the bohemian atmosphere, and we look forward to returning next time we’re in Norman!

Dinner on Saturday night, 12⁄6. This place is usually pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights. This particular Saturday, we got a table right away. Probably because Oklahoma kicked away a victory against in-state rival and heavy underdog Oklahoma State. That was stupid and lame. I’m not a sushi aficiando. I’m a typical Okie when it comes to sushi: put that stuff in a roll with other tasty stuff, an you have my attention. Cream cheese is a bonus. So, «unsophisticated» is my perspective. Two words: MEEKMONSTER. This sucker is legit. I’ve been to Full Moon probably over a dozen times now, and we get this roll every time. It never fails. So good, and the waitstaff indicates that it is their most popular. I recommend. I also love any of their rolls with citrus flavors. Bright, fresh, delicious. Pretty much EVERY time, the service is on point. Not quite elite top notch or anything, but they do a really, really, really nice job. It’s always fun and easy to dine at Full Moon. One of the best-kept secrets in Norman is their sake. It’s like $ 2 or $ 3 for a full serving of cold sake. It’s one of the standard mass-distro brands of sake, but at that price, WHOCARES. It’s a really fun gimmick that my wife and I really like. I haven’t had better sushi in Norman. And I think this place is locally-owned. What’s not to like? DOIT.

Peachy and I went there because the reviews on Unilocal were so good, which makes me doubt the taste of sushi eaters in greater OKC. No big surprise there. I’m giving them 1 star because the people working there were nice when we told them our sushi and sashimi were inedible and gross. I don’t know who was more embarrassed, us or them. The mood of the place is like a bohemian coffee shop, which is what they should turn it into. Maybe they’ll have better luck with coffee than raw fish. This is the first negative review I’ve written on Unilocal, and I’m only doing so in the hope that this place will stop serving horrible fish and passing it off as sushi. They were nice about it and didn’t make us pay for the two bites we took, which are now festering in our stomachs like lead.

Expensive but delicious! I wish I would have snagged the groupon when it was available. Service is ONPOINT! They are very nice here and the ambiance is perfect. The bathroom is a bit strange. Too dark. But maybe on a Friday or Saturday night or if you have had a couple drinks it looks better lol. On to the food. My boyfriend is constantly trying to burn my tongue off with spicy food. Our visit here was no different. Complimentary edamame which was real good! I had the California roll, a Crunchy Ghost(bf’s pick of course), Unagi and the Tuna Surprise. The bf had the teriyaki bowl(chicken) and loved it. I tried it and it was good. I cannot give them 5 stars because my Unagi was just off. It tasted good but the rice and the roll was not done right and it just fell apart — like everywhere! I have had unagi done at Whole Foods that was better than here so that was saddening as I really only usually order that and a Cali roll. So –1 star. Everything else was delish! Costly, but really good.
