Usually I wouldn’t write a review without actually stepping foot inside an establishment but I must make an exception in this case. Was recommended to this place as they are apparently the only black barbers in Norman, the 1st time I brought my Son they told him they were done cutting hair for the day… it was 3 pm??? and it may be best to make an appointment. I then cut his hair myself as I always have. Few weeks later I called on Friday to make an appointment for sat and was told I didn’t need one, they open at 6 am and you can just walk in… Sat at 8 pm we show up and they tell him they are” too busy today, come back tomorrow” yea we’ll be back… NEVER! Going to sports clips.

This is the only black owned barbershop in Norman and the quality is outstanding. D Payne does his thing with the clippers and he has a vision to reflect type of style that the customers want. This place fills up quick and its best to come early in the morning to avoid a line. This is a definite stop if you are looking to get a cut in Norman.

In ally found a good place to get a cut for my husband and nephew. No line we when came in. The staff is nice and friendly and took there time making the cut right just the way my nephew wanted. Only draw back is it is all cash

Honestly this place is horrible, and it’s not because of the quality of the haircut. This place is probably the only black owned barber shop in Norman, and they fully take advantage of that. This place stays crowded, not because they are so good, but all the do is talk and procrastinate. I understand that this is how a black barbershop usually is, but when a guy is in the chair for 45 mins and you have waiting patrons waiting literally hours to get a cut, all because you want to talk about some sports game or some female. That’s just not worth it. I’ve seen more people leave than get their haircut. But they don’t care, because they know you have to come back since they’re the only one in town.
