Lukewarm, dry, tough, over cooked chicken. First & last visit. Waste of money. Raising Cane’s so much better.

Not a fan at all. Barely any meat on the chicken(mainly just breading) and everything is SUPERSUPERSUPERSUPERGREASY. I get that its fast food, but damn, I felt like I was going to have a heart-attack. I’m also not really a fan of how the Zax sauce is pre-packaged, and not made fresh. CANESISSOOOOOMUCHBETTER! Canes has FRESHER chicken that ISN’T drowned in grease and has FRESH sauce made daily. Blech I felt disgusted with myself after I ate Zaxbys.

It was pretty good but not great. I will say though that the restaurant was pretty nice inside.

Not impressed at all. It’s like a Canes knock off, and they didn’t knock it off well. I would only go back if I was absolutely forced.

Love Zaxby’s. Try the salads– they are great. My favorite is the grilled Cobb. The wings and things meal is the best deal. You get a few wings(boneless or traditional), a few chicken strips, fries, celery, and Texas toast– along with ranch and Zaxby’s sauce. The best wing sauce is the hot honey mustard in my opinion. If you haven’t yet, give it a try. I know a lot of people say it’s the same as canes, but I don’t agree. I like both!

Yay! Zaxby’s has finally made it to Oklahoma. We always stop at Zaxby’s in Florida or Louisiana on our southern roadtrips! My husband and I drove all the way from West Edmond to have lunch here today. The staff was friendly and our food was great. Zaxby’s is a much better value than Slim Chickens or Cain’s. And their spicy fried mushrooms are SOGOOD! We cannot wait for their other locations to open across the metro.

Delicious! What sets them aside from their rival, Cane’s, is that you can get their chicken tenders tossed in one of their sauces — the«hot honey mustard» is my favorite. Also, their chicken has so much more flavor.

I went based on a recommendation from a friend. I took the drive thru, which was about average. I got the chicken salad sandwich and I was sorely disappointed. It tasted like chicken salad, minus the chicken with poultry flavoring and way too much salt. Their sweet tea was good and so were their fries and I am glad I had the tea to wash the flavor out of my mouth.

Banana pudding milkshake. Best thing your taste buds will ever experience. It’s like your adolescent self having a dance party on your tastebuds. They have a awesome grilled cheese. Fantastic onion rings. Fried cheese curds. Fries are delicious; crispy on the outside soft on the inside and flavorful. I really enjoy the fried house salad. I FREAKINGLOVETHETEXASTOAST!!! And the club sandwich is very good as well. I eat her often. Perhaps too often. But my stomach loves it!

First visit to Zaxby’s and it was just average. Service was good, but chicken was tasteless and grisly. My family ordered salads — two with crispy chicken and one with grilled chicken. The salads were really big and pretty good… just wish the chicken had flavor and no fat. We also ordered sides to share — fried mushrooms and onion rings were very good, but fried cheese«nuggets» were hard and we only received four very small nuggets for $ 4. We didn’t try any of the sauces other than the Zaxby’s sauce which none of us were a fan. We like Cane’s and Chick-fil-a’s chicken better, so we probably won’t return.

Pretty much a Cane’s copycat even down to the sauce… Which is a bland copy… And sides. Small chicken fingers, some overcooked, some undercooked and mushy. Extremely unimpressed for $ 10.

Not impressed. Chicken wasn’t greasy but you barely get any. The fries are soggy and the bread was super garlicky. The ice was really awesome! But frozen water being the best part of the meal was disappointing. Canes or slims is a better bet in my opinion but could just be a bad experience.

Went back again(told ya, in the neighborhood) and I was pleasantly surprised with the grilled chicken caesar salad. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the lettuce crisp and fresh the way it should be, and the house made croutons(which look and taste like they are the same as the toast that is served with the meals) tie it all together very well. The saltiness of the bread, which I noted in my first review, doesn’t bother me as much here. The salad is huge, big enough that I’ve had plenty leftover for another meal. Really good for lunch and at around $ 8, not bad at all.

I am predisposed to like anything with a Z but Zaxby’s takes that to the next level. My first brush with Zaxby’s greatness was when we lived outside of Nashville and we fell in love with the fried goodness. Moving back to OKC we were sad that there was not a Zaxby’s in sight and made it a point to stop at the one on our way home from visiting family in Arkansas. And then one day, shining like a beacon in the night, I saw the blue sign coming up in Norman {cue Little Mermaid ahhh ahhhh ahhhhh singing} I stopped in last week for a Zalad: House salad with cucumbers, crispy onion strips, tomato and fried chicken with Texas toast on the side. You can take the healthier route by swapping grilled chicken and 86-ing the toast. I’m certain they would skip the fried onions for you but that would just be sad. For me, the salads are what sets Zaxby’s apart from Cane’s: The dipping sauces are simliar enough that my husband is happy with either chicken finger chain, but I love that I can get something other than strips and fries. Back in the day, they had an Asian-inspired salad that seems to have fallen off the menu. If that ever comes back, you’ll know where to find me every time I’m in Norman!

Tried this place out for the 1st time today. They must be having some beginner struggles. It was almost completely empty at about 5:30(start of dinner time) and it took a long time to get a small order. It was unclear whether they would call out our order number and we go get it or whether they’d bring it to us. In fact we had to kind of hound them for it. As for the food, it seemed pretty much industry standard. Nothing particularly daring in the menu which is a shame because it’d be great to have a chicken restaurant that actually stands out. The fries were really not exceptional. If I go back, and there is maybe a 50⁄50 chance I do, I would probably try a salad instead of sandwiches.

I’ve been to Zaxbys in other locations. Was excited for the grand opening but disappointed when I was denied entrance because I didn’t have an invitation. I probably wouldn’t be upset had they taken down the inflatable chicken and balloons advertising a grand opening. In my opinion Slims and Canes are better anyways.
