Ummm not a fan… I’ve tried a few times and although never bad… never amazing… I think I’ll skip this in favor of other better local spots… like Sushi Maki down the hill.

It wasn’t the best but it was good. I will probably go there if I’m too lazy to travel to Seattle.

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in Normandy Park/Burien/Des Moines. We have been coming here for over 7 years on a weekly basis. We have tried several other Thai restaurants in the area(the one that looks like an IHOP restaurant, the one on 152nd in Burien, and the one in the small house in Des Moines as well as Rose Phở in the NP Town Centre, which is really not Thai) and it is the best of the bunch. We usually get Pad See Ew and Panang Curry. We find the staff to be busy, but friendly. We have only eaten in twice. We usually just pick-up on our way home.

This is the best Thai food in burien by a long shot. The food is always right on point and the owners are really friendly. It’s a small restaurant so seating can be a challenge during lunch and dinner and being a smaller operation the food can take a bit of time to come out. The prices are a little higher than other places and they charge for extra sauces but it’s still my favorite place to eat Thai food

My favorite Thai restaurant by FAR. The food is amazing and very large portions. I usually end up with a box to take home for another meal later. The owners are very efficient at getting the food out but won’t spend much time greeting you or making sure you’re satisfied but they aren’t unfriendly. All in all, a great place to get hooked on Thai food. Don’t forget the Thai iced tea!!!

This was my first visit, but it wasn’t too great. I asked for 3 stars for Pad Thai, and it tasted like a 1 star, and was extremely bland. It was disappointing. The Green Curry chicken had great flavor, but it was very soupy with bamboo shoot overload. There are so many other options for Thai in the city, I will probably not come back here.

We came in 30mins before they close but they are really nice. I ordered papaya salad which they put so much garlic. Taste garlicky and not enough flavors. The other dish I ordered is phad kee mao. It was delicious. Without checking the time, we didn’t know that it was past 10 mins after 9pm. they’re so nice that they did not kick us out.

Disappointing. Noodle dish tasted of spent grease. I gave them an extra star for having papaya salad on the menu and it was pretty good. Other 3 dishes, not that good really.

Luv this place. I go here all the time. It is 100% authentic thai food. They even make me thai dishes that aren’t even on the menu.

My favorite Thai in the south end of the city. You can taste the quality and pride their chef puts into each bite of food. It presents well too. Small place — we usually get it to go. Favorites include: Teak House Fried Rice, Teak House Salad with Peanut Sauce on the side and THESOUP! Don’t forget the soup. I get Won Ton often and think about it more often than that… Tom Yum is also good — fresh veggies! Part of me doesn’t want to share with too many people because they can get busy… but that’s not right… here you go and you’re welcome. :)

There are far too many better thai options within 5 minutes to give this place more than a single star anymore. We came back even though I only gave them 2 stars the first time and left far more disappointed this time around. Everything is below average. This is the second time we have been here for dinner and again it was empty. That means there is no food turn over and you can tell. Everything tastes old. My wife mentioned her food smelled like feet. «Why do you know what feet smell like?» I responded. That was the only time we smiled the entire dinner. 2 Minutes up the road to the south you have Rose Phở with far better food. 2 minutes to the North you have 3 other options including Thai’s Corner with real Pad Thai… not the pink stuff. There is no reason to come here unless its the day after thanksgiving and the good places are closed. If you forgo this warning and eat here let me know if the server ever smiles, I am convinced the people working there hate you for eating there.

I am so confused why this place only had 3 ½ stars. Every time I’ve came the portions are generous, authentic, and fresh. I walked in today and it may have took a little but for the host/waitress to come back to take my order but it was well worth it. She may have got held up, patience for good food is key! I ordered the Phad Thai, it was delicious, the spring rolls, and soup. By far all was hot, fresh, and amazing. Let’s no forget the portion size to boot! So huge, and I can see in the kitchen they are constantly washing hands and using gloves. I took long looks and observed my food because of the previous ratings, funny though I had a great experience when I came about a year ago! So I’ll give 5 out of 5 and I’m happy and so is my daughter! Thank you Teak thai for setting your standards high!!!

Another time I wish we could do half stars here. 3 and a half stars. A friend took me here because she has to be careful about what she eats. It’s a small place in an even smaller strip mall but it’s surprisingly close to work so I’m all over that! We stepped in and a man told us to sit anywhere. The friend told me he’s usually a little happier, but I imagine it gets a little mindless seating and serving people for long hours and he seemed responsive depending on how friendly you were. I ordered the garlic supreme with tofu. They have an interesting way of piling crisp coated pieces on 2 inch slices of cooked tofu over the vegetables but it’s tasty stuff. Nothing over the top, but good. I’d love to come back and try some more but alas, my friend cannot take soy sauce so it’ll be on my own.

I love this place, been going there for a few years now. My favorite dishes are their fried rice, egg rolls, and chicken phad Thai. I’m a total wimp when it comes to spice, and I never have trouble when I ask to have dishes made with 0 stars. The owners are lovely, very friendly, and will recognize you after only a few visits. They know my order when I walk in! Best deal is definitely their lunch specials. You can get a nice soup, salad, egg rolls and phad Thai for cheap! Would definitely recommend.

We love this place! Some of our favorites: teak house fried rice, yakisoba, and crispy garlic chicken! The owners are super friendly and the place is always tidy. Lovely place for a quick meal nearby :)

I explored 4 new Thai restaurants that I’ve never went to before this week and this place was one of them. And I don’t think I’ll ever come back. I ordered crab wontons and pad see iew. Crab wontons were just ok, the wontons looked old? The wrapping was hard to chew on. The crab cream cheese part weren’t so bad. The sauce was not good. I had to use my own sweet chili thai sauce in my own home. The pad see iew was not too bad, I’d rate it 3 stars, it needs some improvement because it was lacking flavor. Later on, I called to order a mango sticky rice order and I am not lying and still shocked about it, but the man who picked up literally SCREAMED at me! He had an aggressive tone for no reason, like dude do you not want business? I just asked if I could order to go and everything he said to me back was with an attitude, exaggeration and rude demeanor. I had enough and said never mind I don’t want to order from you guys. He shouted WHATWHY?! And I hung up… seriously? Check your tone and how you speak to customers. I will not be coming back here, service wasn’t good and food wasn’t either.

Teak House is close to the Criminal Justice Training Center where I often have training for work. It’s nice being so close to a good Thai restaurant like Teak House. As someone with Celiac Disease I’ve been able to eat here and not get cross-contaminated from gluten every single time I’ve been there. They are always able to accommodate a group of 6 at the busy lunch hour in their smaller restaurant. Everything I’ve had here tasted great. I have no complaints whatsoever!

This little Thai restaurant is snuggled into a strip mall between Burien and Normandy Park and is across from my physical therapist. I always try a curry to test a Thai restaurants’ quality. I tried the chicken panang curry 3 star. I wish I could say it was great and had authentic Thai taste but it was more like Chinese food. The curry flavors were sort of bland, the chicken was stringy and the variety of veggies within the curry was limited. I have been eating Thai food since it came to the PNW in the 80s and this just doesn’t cut it. Plus I think $ 10 for a lunch entrée(with brown rice) without any extras is a little much. Most restaurants offer soup or spring rolls with the lunch but only select entrees listed on the board did that. I won’t be back and hope to find my local Thai restaurant soon.

Red curry lunch special w/soup salad and spring roll. Cabbage soup. Standard iceberg. Hot and crisp spring roll. Brown rice. 5 star rating…3.5 star Heat. I’ve always enjoyed Teak House, they have great service and food. Usually have more than one lunch special and is a good value.
